Fijn hotel. In het centrum en toch rustig.
Staff were the highlight of this hotel, they were so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, going above and beyond! Garden is stunning and such a peaceful place to sit even in the rain as there are undercover options. Bed was comfy and they even upgraded my room!
Hotel Ganesh Himal was great! I was spending my last few days in Kathmandu and it was a great place to rest and prepare for my journey back home. The location of the hotel is tucked away in a part of Kathmandu that is a 10-min walk from Thamel area so noise is highly reduced. The staff was also excellent and helpful.
Pretty much the best place you can stay in Kathmandu! Lovely garden and restaurant. Nice and quiet. Amazing staff!! A wonderful oasis to come back to :)
A Hidden gem! went on a solo trip in Nepal and stayed at multiple places but this was genuinely the best hotel stayed at out the whole trip. The rooms and service is of European standards. If you want to stay close to the durbar square but not be bothered by noise and air pollution of Tamel, this is the best place to rest after a long day of exploring. The vibe is more like a nature retreat with the courtyard being so beautiful and lush. There are two buildings but don't be confused by the front...
Great hotel in a quiet street, very convenient for Thamel and Durbar square. Staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a pleasant garden and other sitting areas. I would stay here again.
They have a security guard there for the whole evening to let guests through the gate after hours. All the staff were kind and accommodating, very helpful in arranging taxis and storing gear. The hotel itself is beautiful and houses some nice art, and it’s close to Thamel where all the action is.
We loved the Ganesh Himal. A haven of peace and tranquility from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Great location. Close to Durbar Square, Tamel and 'Rise and Grind' for great coffee.
We were charged twice for our stay and we are yet to receive our refund. I have tried to contact the hotel but no response…. Very disappointed, terrible communication.
We found this a lovely oasis of calm in the middle of busy Kathmandu. The staff were so pleasant and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The staff was also really helpful organizing taxis and bus tickets for us as well. The location is perfect, close to the attractions of Thamel while also being nicely located in a quiet neighborhood nearby. We feel we really couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Kathmandu.
