Untapped Hostel

Great hostel! Only thing is the mattresses are incredibly hard, took my back a couple nights to get used to.

Tomar is a great place to sleep, the beds and bathrooms are perfect, very nice and clean. However there wasn’t much social spaces, there is one, it has signs to be quiet, and they have taken all bar two couches out of it, so no real sitting spaces. The kitchen is functional, but there is not enough plates and cutlery, as well as no dishwasher/ sanitizer, and the water doesn’t get hot enough to fully clean the dishes. Ok everything about this place is great except for the lack of elevator. I mean there is a charm to that, it feels like a true Bohemian Brooklyn-esque experience, but it's not as fun when you have a bunch of bags as a solo traveler or, god forbid, you're one of the many skiers passing by Sapporo.

While I enjoyed many things about Untapped, there are some glaring issues I cannot overlook. To anyome with mobilities issues I cannot recommend it, as there is no elevator. There was a significant amount of mold on any exterior windowsills, especially ones that were in a sleeping pod. It would be an easy fix, requiring some caulk and a pipe gun, but they are not properly sealed. The location is close to a train station, and other small restaurants nearby. I just cannot overlook the safety.

The property is well designed and the beds have a good amount of space in them. Mattresses are a bit firm and could probably benefit from being replaced. The common area is cozy One note for taller people, the showers are a bit small.

I was very surprised with this property: easiest check-in I've had so far. The property's location is excellent, the pricing is fair, the staff was very helpful and they were extremely kind, and it's a perfectly quiet atmosphere with bunks with lots of space - very clean too. Most people here are a little more reserved but the common area allows for socializing for sure. If you are in Sapporo, I highly recommend this hostel!

Pleasant guesthouse with friendly staff. The guesthouse is ideally located in front of the metro station and offers acceptable value for money with average prices.

I reviewed this property once before and my review was removed for some reason. This place was full of old business travelers and toddlers. Dobyouself a favor. Stay somewhere else

Amazing hostel! - Clean - Staff are so friendly - Restaurant in lobby is delicious - Hostel is literally across the street from the subway entrance/exit which was convenient - Bathroom/Showers are in the same room as the beds so maybe not the best if you’re a light sleeper

Amazing staff always down for a chat. Nice social area to meet others but also just to make things in the kitchen. Very aesthetic inside especially the dorms. Highly recommend if going to sapporo.

There is no lift, have to climb up to 4th floor. Hotel very nearby subway station though. Good vibe, good staff. I would recommend Wise Owl Hostel than untapped.

Bien placé, j’etait en dortoir femme les box sont petit et aucune ventilation dur dur. La maison est en beton brut donc tout resonne, le vendredi soir ca été épouvantable au 1er etage donc le bruit se diffuse partout. Bon établissement pour l’emplacement, c’est propre mais pour le repos c’est pas vraiment ca

I loved my stay here, all the staff were incredibly friendly and the place has such a cozy atmosphere amongst a modern city. Will definitely be staying here again when I get the chance!

Great hostel. Friendly and helpful staff, washer and dryer for cheap, AC was excellent in the rooms, and the beds were literally the best bunks I’ve ever slept in in a hostel. Incredibly spacious and comfortable. Only downfalls: location was okay. At least 30-40min walk to anywhere cool (however, you can rent bikes during the day and take taxis/busses/metro), and the atmosphere in the hostel was really non existent. But maybe you prefer a laid back place. Just know,no socializing events or bar...

Staff were amazing, thank you to the whole team there. They made our stay so much fun and felt like home. Location is right near a subway stop and there are many cool cafe’s and shops nearby. Keen to go back to Sapporo and stay there!
