Maravu Taveuni Lodge

Stayed at the Dorms & it was great. Booked one night and endet up staying 10. The stuff is amazing: they are welcoming, friendly, supportive, well informed, offering a variety of included/additional activities (dolphin watching, snorkelling, hiking, arts & crafts, music & kava,…). The only negative thing is, that the wifi doesn‘t really work.

Loved it here, met some amazing people. Initially it felt quiet and there weren’t many people there but after a day or so lots of people turned up and I had so much fun with them. The activity selection was good but we rented a car and I would say got more for our money. Also keep in mind the shower is pretty cold and there is no wifi in rooms or power from 11 am until 4 pm!

I had stayed before in Maravu Lodge and came back for another 3 nights, as the staff not only makes you feel like home, they make you feel part of the family! Rafa, Lavenia, Clair & Sisi, they all did their part, and the singing around the bowl of kava is such a great way to create that community feeling! This time I stayed in the 12-bed dorm, which has the bathroom conveniently attached, and everything was cleaned daily.

the place and the people are extremely lovely. The hostel is close to some amazing beaches. I just miss hot water for my shower and a place to store my backpack in the room. But yeah the Cava night was very good, I had a very good time. I will come back :)

Great Lodge with good food and the best stuff ever!

Been here for 1 week in shared dorms , its was amazing! All the staff were very welcoming and gave u the feel like u at home. Every night there was kava gathering with music. There is nice resturant at their place and also some very close by walking all with view to the sunsets in the ocean. And they hosting various of activities everyday with is great way to explore the island. In short if u ever cross paths in taveuni i highly suggesting coming here.

I stayed in a dorm which was fine, only the bathroom being a 50m walk away was not at all up to standards. The whole complex could do with some renovations, but overall they try their best to keep the facilities clean and neat. The restaurant is great!

Nous avons été super bien reçues, comme la famille de Maravu. Le personnel était très à l’écoute et très accueillant. Le dortoir était propre ainsi que les toilettes et salle de bain. C’était très paisible et intimiste, d’autant plus propice pour apprendre la culture fidjienne avec le personnel de l’hôtel. Un grand merci à tout l’équipe et particulièrement Cali pour sa gentillesse, Mateo pour les supers dauphins et Rafa pour notre dernière balade avec la plus belle...

Best stay ever!!! The staff was amazing and made my stay. Mateo, Kali, Rafa, Le, and everyone. Most of all Mariana - she’s amazing! Give these people a raise or something LOL because they’re amazing

The staff are utterly wonderful, they will make you feel right at home and well looked after. With the tours that I did with them, it was great value for money. Also, the Kava ceremonies (usually run by the incredibly funny and personable Kali) were a perfect way to finish the day. For the quality they provide you will be hard pressed to find anything half as good at a similar price.

Such a good stay. 10/10 all round Very welcoming hosts who made you feel like family

My stay here was amazing. You get what you pay for and even more. I was staying in the dorm and even had an aircon. Beds were great & comfortable.The pool has the perfect temperature to cool down but not too cool so you can stay long in it.But especially the staff was amazing, everyone remembers your name, asks how you are and chats with you to make sure you are feeling well. As well the hotel activities are great.

Young women being inappropriately touched. Would not respond to a rat unless we could provide proof. Spoiled food served after the staff was told that the it was sour for the next day.

Beautiful little hostel. Bathrooms are a little ways from the rooms but not a bad walk. Wonderful hosts with such a warm spirit!

The staff were friendly but didn’t do anything. The dorm room had grass all over the floor, I told them, and they never had it cleaned as they said they would. The shower and bathroom area for the dorm is gross. The food is not good and expensive. The location is good and it’s cheap but don’t expect much. They don’t have lockers for valuables so you have to leave them at the front desk. Also the beds are extremely uncomfortable and I had back pain after sleeping on them. But it’s cheap...

Great helpful staff & friendly No locks on room doors?! No locks on luggage room door?! Dorm Room is next to reception-paper thin walls-party place- NO sleep in dorm rooms Private room was good.

Very incredible staff! Good food although expensive. Showers and bathrooms were down a hill, very old and not too clean. It was off season so it felt deserted, but the people who were there were very nice.

I had a wonderful stay at Maravu and would highly recommend. It is beautiful and peaceful. Dorms are clean and comfortable (especially the 4 bed). Close to the airport and a few little shops. The staff is so kind and helpful. I definitely hope to come back some day soon
