Solo traveller. I had a very comfortable stay here in a private room. Rosa was very welcoming and helpful. Good safety measures from street level and inside. The room was comfortable and had good amenities. The city generally is pretty quiet except for the port area. If you are coming to Algeciras to take the ferry to Morroco, the location is close enough with a 15 minute walk. Close to the market, shops, restaurants, and park, but a bit far from nicer beaches.

Staying at Hostel Lisboa is truly like staying with family - everyone was so helpful, the best hosts I’ve ever had ! From the moment we arrived the atmosphere felt like home, and with a map explaining and the hosts explaining everything (from bus routes, to the best spots for food and swimming) Algeciras also felt already familiar - not to mention beautiful! The room and amenities, security card system, it was a perfect stay, easy check-in/out also made it a perfect stay!

Maybe the best hostel I have stayed so far. Incredible hospitality by the lady who owns the place and it was truly one of the few places where I have truly felt at home. Very comfortable and clean room for one person at a very affordable price.Greatrecommendations for planning your trip at the reception as well. Everything was truly excellent.

I can’t express how grateful I felt for the very warm welcome I received. I asked for some assistance on a touristic matter, and I was overwhelmed with help. My host was truely generous with her time and she took great pleasure in helping me. Such hospitality is incredibly rare.

I arrived late at night and the manager’s elderly father on a cane opened the gate for me. I think it’s a family business and they live in property as well. The manager speaks good English, and is nice, informs me about the neighborhood. The city is not touristy. I was only there to take the ferry to Tangier. So it’s a good budget hotel if you need to take a ferry next day. 20 minutes walking distance to Algeciras port.
