Nice hostel, good beds, very friendly staff that makes a breakfast package for you for early machu picchu treks, and beautiful view! (The noise of the train is not as much as a problem as people make it out to be. It's one train per hour at most, and it stops around bedtime - coming from someone that woke up 5am for machu picchu!) Recommend!
it was located next to the trainstation, so I could feel the train pass in my bed. there was a cat inside which made it smell in the common area. The bathroom was small and half broken. The bedroom had stains on the curtains and walls. However the woman behond the counter was sweet enough to make us breakfast at 4 before we left for machu picchu early for the first shift.
A terrible experience—couldn't check in at the booked hotel and had to find another place.
Best cheap place to stay in Aguas Calientes. If you’re staying 1 or 2 nights for Machu Picchu its great but very basic hostel. Nice that they packed us a breakfast when we left early, but could do with curtains on beds and a lock on the dorm rooms. A little loud with the train.
Ok location, a 3 minute walk from the town center. the owner made us breakfast-packs for our early trip to machu picchu
Not that great would not stay there again
The location is both good and bad. Right in aguas calientes but next to the train track which goes from 6am to 11pm. Also right next to the river which is loud at night. Facilites are fairly clean, not really an atmosphere more of a place to sleep before doing machu pichu
Everything in the room was mouldy. The bathroom tiles, shower curtain, wood in the room, ceiling. The view of the wild flowing river is great but I would not recommend this place if they don't fix the mould problems.
Needs to be cleaned more. Mould in the bathrooms and on the shower curtain.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They even packed me breakfast so I could bring it on my hike to Machu Picchu, since I had to start before their breakfast time. Rooms were very spacious but not much of an atmosphere, although that is likely because everyone goes to bed early to get to Machu Picchu early in the morning the next day,
Many hotels in Central and South America only have lukewarm water, but this hotel had hot water available all the time, which was great! The hotel is a little old, but it seemed to be kept as clean as possible. No matter how many questions I asked, such as how to get to the station or where to buy groceries, they were happy to answer. After checking out, I was able to charge my phone in the common space until my train, which was very helpful. Thank you.
Sie bieten Frühstück to go an, was wiederum super ist.
oke for one night
Great spot for a night or few while staying in Aguas Calientes! Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, & a super reasonable price.
Just a few minutes walk from the main area. Good beds. Right next to the train station but pretty sure nothing came past 9:30ish. Also right next to the stream which is beautiful and sounds great. Good lockers, but only one outlet per bed which is located inside the locker. Worst thing was the bathrooms. Hot water in the shower, but using the toilet felt really crammed.
Breakfast was very nice, but the hostel is right on a train line that is very noisy - fine as long as you're not sleeping in. The bathroom windown didn't close so our room ended up full of mosquitos. Pretty ok for one night overall - it seems expensive to stay in Aguas Callientes.
