I really enjoyed my stay here, it's beautiful and you have the animals in the front. It's a good place to get away from the noise and settle for a bit. The kitchen is fully equipped, has a nice view and the bathrooms are clean. The hostel is good to find, there are signs to point out where you should go on the property and at the entrance. Don't be confused you're entering the farm first but just follow the dirt road then you will find the hostel. The bus leaves from the main road every 30 min.

I stayed at the farm for one day and absolutely loved the concept: being in the countryside, feeding the baby goats, and having a bonfire with the staff, who were super kind and fun. There are many volunteers helping to beautify the hostel, creating a really lovely vibe. It’s a beautiful rustic hostel, perfect if you want to connect with nature, disconnect, and enjoy a bit of adventure.

We booked 2 beds in the mixed dorm. We got there, the address provided took us to the farm. No one there could tell us where the actual hostel was, there was no phone number provided. A farm hand said he was going to "call Rick" to get information for us. It took him a solid 25 minutes to get around to making the call. No answer, we waited for about 30 more minutes by the horses as instructed. No one got back. I had emailed Rick at the address he gave me, 2 weeks later I have still not gotten a...

The farm is in the middle of nowhere. The next bus stop is 20 min walking away and Juayua is another 20 min by bus. There are no lockers and no WiFi. The WiFi was already out for a couple of days and the owner seems to not care. Also we had 2 scorpions and a bunch of large spiders in our room. the quarters are constructed poorly with a lot of cracks and holes for the animals to come in. They only have cold water and it’s not very clean. There is better accommodation for the same money.

The experience at Rick’s was stressful and not as expected. It was challenging to find the hostel, our driver turned around multiple times to find the road, and it would have been helpful to have directions. There was no WiFi near the rooms as advertised, only in the farm area which is a ways up the dirt road. There were SO many insects - and we found three scorpions in our room, one near my friend’s pillow. I felt there could have been more precautions taken, like a bug net or a warning.

Nice hostel, friendly staff. No wifi in the rooms though, only has WiFi at the entrance parking area which is hard to use with all the mosquitos outside. Aside from that, a comfortable stay

I really enjoyed my time at Ricks’s hostel. It’s on a farm and in the middle of nature which was so nice. Peaceful little place. The kitchen had everything I needed and it had a campfire to hangout at. Really cool vibe, I recommend. It doesn’t have wifi which I was fine with but keep that in mind and it’s a little bit of a walk to get to but there’s buses that run to Juayúa regularly.

Awesome place to stay, quite and relaxed but still close enough to everything to explore the area. The local bus runs to juayua every 30 minutes. Really great kitchen and they sell cold beers here for cheap.

WiFi doesn’t reach the actual hostel only on the farm bit, good kitchen, nice friendly staff. No lockers, lots of bugs especially at night. Super cute animals and friendly farmers working. Super peaceful and nice for a couple of nights, they usually make a bonfire and you can buy beers for $1.50.

Very out of the way even with a scooter because the road to the hostel is so bumpy and the buses are very infrequent.

The best thing about this hostel was to meet the salvadoreños that work in the farm plus interacting with the animals :)

Very unique place. The atmosphere here is something you will not find in many other hostels. Very calm, cozy but still modern. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The best is of course that you can feed and pet the goats at the farm that you have to cross to reach the hostel. It unfortunately is however pretty far from Juayua so it can be difficult to get home at night

etwas abgelegen, aber dafür umgeben von Natur pur und super als Ausgangspunkt für die ruta de las flores

The hostel is really nice and the location too, although it's not the most easy one to access but still worth it for the peace of the place. I slept well and it's well organized with the space. It can improve with the cleanliness and the pump of water that sometimes doesn't work but apart of that overall it's nice and worth it. You can rent a scooter in Juayúa or can easily do hitchicking to move to ruta de las flores. I loved the baby goats.

Ricks hostel was one of the best hostel experiences i’ve had! It is still new and in progress meaning it is not the most luxurious but the location is so unique and incredible. the staff were very generous and warm and the property is beautiful with so much outdoor space and we had the chance to play with the animals even feed the baby goats! really recommend for a memorable stay along las rutas de las flores
