Casa Matia

Lovely hostel, very clean and secure with great kitchen facilities. Great communication, we were able to check in early on our first day in Guadalajara. Only downside was the city has been having extremely hot weather and our room didn’t have a window, an extra fan was provided to help but we did struggle to sleep in the heat. Not the hostels fault but I’d recommend asking for a room with a window!

Great hostel. Everything was exceptional. the only thing that was awkward was finding the place. Better signage on the street might help. The guy next door must get bothered a lot because he was very grumpy(understandabley) when I accidentally knocked on his door.

Great spot, on a quiet strip between busy neighbourhoods. Rooms, common areas and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. We arrived in the evening and staff gave us instructions via WhatsApp to access our keys and get inside. Generally a nice and quiet spot tucked away behind a donut shop.. although not much for atmosphere or social vibe if that’s what you’re looking for.

+++ Amazing location, good price, decently comfy bed, super clean common spaces (saw the cleaner every day or every other day), outside area (with outlets, chairs, hammock), very friendly/helpful staff. /// No complaints, but be aware sound travels through the house pretty easily. So bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise. It wasn't super social if you're looking for that. But for me, it was the perfect place to chill and work. Wifi was OK for me/my work (no video calls). Cash only.

The staff is really nice and they helped me with everything I needed and the rooms are nice and clean. The shared bathrooms are also cleaned everyday and there was always an empty bathroom available. The location is really great because it’s in the middle of everything. It’s not really a hostel atmosphere, but it’s good if you want something quiet.
