Omah Suropati

This has been my favourite hostel I have stayed in. The facilities were so nice and comfortable and was always clean. The staff were the hilight, Dinda and Rian looked after us the whole time we stayed, giving us good food recommendations and some great games of pool. Will absolutely return

I travelled a lot, but this was maybe the best hostel I ever stayed in. Cant ask for more

I absolutely loved the staff here—some of the sweetest and most welcoming people I’ve met while traveling. They helped connect us with an amazing waterfall tour guide, who was incredibly kind and even bought me and my friend coffee and gave us free treats. The location is great too, really close to the center and easy to get around. Overall, such a good vibe—100% recommend staying here!

The nicest and friendliest staff. They have amazing English and go over and above to make you feel at home. It’s a 5 minute walk from the train station and such a cute little place. Really clean, good showers and toilets, aircon also works well. Run tours from the hostel as well for a discounted price if staying there. Highly recommend

Our stay in Omah Suropati was short and sweet. The three bed dorm was very comfortable and spacious, and great to have the two couches. I left my kindle behind and Dinda was so helpful in sending this on to my next accommodation. Thanks so much again!

The hostel is right next to a mosque and it’s extremely loud. It’s not a social place but the staff is really nice.

I had a great cozy stay at Omah Suropati. If you’re looking for a chill stay while in Malang this is a nice spot. Cheap, clean, not busy. It’s very small, only 2 dorm rooms with 2 beds in one and 3 in the other – so you might not meet many other people. But I would recommend it if you’re coming through to do the Tumpak/Bromo/Ijen adventures. Only drawback is there is a mosque very close by which can be loud at random hours and woke me up at 4:00am one morning.

Even though we only spent 1 night we had a lovely time at Omah Suropati. Dinda and Rian were wonderful and kind hosts and made us feel very welcome. The hostel is very clean and has some nice hang out spaces. We appreciated the kitchen to make some tea/coffee and a small breakfast. Would definitely stay again! :)

This is a small hostel with a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I stayed during the rainy/low season and practically had all the facilities to myself 😄. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, with an excellent level of English. The hostel is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station. I also booked tours to Mt. Bromo and Mt. Ijen through the hostel, and everything was very well organised and completely trouble-free.

Great for solo travelers! The staff are very knowledgeable and speak excellent English. Super clean. I was woken up by the morning prayer around 3:30 am, but was able to fall back asleep after.

This was one of my best hostel experiences in Malang! The location is super strategic and the place feels very comfortable. The staff, Dinda and Rian, were incredibly friendly and fun to chat with, we shared a lot of great stories. The room was spacious and not crowded at all, and both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Highly recommended! The price is also perfect for backpackers. You definitely have to stay here when you visit Malang!

Super Hostel um zu entspannen und mal seine Ruhe in einem nicht vollgepackten Zimmer zu haben. Viele entspannte Bereiche zum chillen

Für drei Euro unfassbar gut. Es liegt direkt im Zentrum. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr lieb. Wir konnten unseren Rucksack unabhängig von der Übernachtung noch eine Nacht da lassen. Die Matratze ist zwar etwas hart, aber man schläft zu dritt in einem sehr geräumigen Zimmer. Also ein besseres Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wird man in ganz Indonesien nicht bekommen.

Lovely staff, great place and facilities

Omah Suropati ist wie eine grosse Familie. Die Lage ist ruhig (ausser die Moschee ;)), aber trotzdem sehr nahe am Geschehen. Nebst dem herzig eingerichteten Hostel und der Sauberkeit, waren die Mitarbeiter:innen des Hotels das absolute Highlight!! Ein riesen Dankeschön an Dinda und der Jogging Gruppe! Ihr habt unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz speziellem gemacht! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!!

Ich wurde super lieb empfangen. Das ganze Ambiente der Unterkunft ist mega gemütlich und ich habe mich super wohl dort gefühlt. Das einzige was nicht so angenehm ist di Moschee direkt neben an, aber anderes Land andere Kultur.
