Great if you want to escape the town centre however little flexibility on free surf re shuttles and very little atmosphere or social space. Overpriced but a nice experience for a few days
Most disappointing hostel experience I’ve had in my 30 + hostel stays. Property and staff are lovely, but the top bunks have no electric socket, no shelf, no light, dirt was falling on me from the ceiling, the one sad fan for the room didn’t do much and if you have a top bunk you won’t get any air flow from the windows. Room looks old, bed sucked. I paid for 6 night stay and left after one night and they haven’t responded to my email and won’t refund me. WAY overpriced for what you get...
Loved DreamSea!! Plan to go back next year. Great vibes, events planned everyday and very friendly staff. Surf instructors are top notch and definitely recommend the yoga!
A surf camp off the grid from town, which I found refreshing. It depends what you are looking for. There was an awesome group of people and fun things to do with tons of activities. Fantastic yoga! Surf instruction was top notch. It is a bit out of town, so while there are opps to go into town ($500 cordobas for a taxi ride or scheduled free shuttle) but I liked that it was not in the midst of SJDS hustle and bustle.
Loved everything about it - except the bed bugs and I was not the only one affected.
Can’t recommend this place enough. Beautiful, clean, lovely staff. Genuinely an amazing place to stay.
Best experience I've ever had. The surf and yoga combination is amazing, and all the instructors care about helping you improve. Do the surf skate, don't miss out on that lesson. The food is great and they give big portions. The costs of all the lessons and room was affordable. Staff was friendly, and loved the included shuttles to all activities. Definitely come here, especially if you're into physical activity/sports. Make sure to bring ear plugs though because the night frogs are loud.
Great facility, beautiful and fairly well maintained. It is all huts, and no real walls which means you and you bags nights feel heavy winds, and bugs might creep in. The food is awesome but very expensive, and overall the week was awesome because we followed the group the whole week and met a bunch of nice people. Would recommend, but know that not following the group makes it hard because you are quite isolated from town.
Ripped off from start to finish, everything was extremely overpriced for Nicaragua and staff added 25% tax onto everything (which they told me was the case in all of Nicaragua but i have not experienced this anywhere else). The staff were unresponsive when we called and messaged leading up to our stay and rude when we arrived. Our room did not lock so we did not have anywhere to store our valuables, and the staff shrugged and said it probably wouldn't be a problem. Beautiful property though.
This surf camp was FANTASTIC! The lodge was so beautiful I felt like I was staying at a resort. So many young backpackers and people to connect with. I only stayed for 2 days, but wish I did their super affordable week long package that includes food, surf lessons, yoga, surf theory, and more!
