Guesthouse&Cafe OHANA in Omishima

Not social and the kitchen area is small, cold and outdated. But the rooms were very nice and clean and staff was very kind. Out of the way but great onsen nearby. All dinner closes very early so make sure you eat before 7PM.

If you’re doing the Shimanami Kaido, it is a little off track but the fantastic service makes it absolutely worth it !! Not only is it located in the best part of the island (which is easy to miss if you don’t stay there), the hospitality is top notch! It makes for the perfect stay between days on the ride, and gives you the perfect opportunity to explore more of Ohmishima Jsland

Ein guter Ort für die Übernachtung auf der Radtour von Onomochi nach Imabari. Die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach gestaltet und wirkt ein bisschen provisorisch. Leider stimmen nicht alle Bilder mit der Realität überein. Der gezeigte Gemeinschaftsraum war nicht vorhanden oder nicht verfügbar. Die Gastgeberin war nett und hilfsbereit. Zahlung vor Ort war nur in bar möglich.

That first photo on the site is misleading! That space (not really used by guests - is used by the family and is horribly messy and cluttered!) I visited during late hot and humid August, The saving grace of this place was that I ended up having an air conditioned room to myself and that I rented an e-bike for two days. Best way to make use of this place is to use it only to sleep, eat if you need and GET OUT ON A BIKE! Not very sociable hostel at all, use this place to explore the islands.

Decent place just to sleep during the simanami Kaido. The beds are very comfortable, and the place is simple but efficient.

although the entryway was messy the rooms and facilities were impeccably clean. not really a place too meet new people but offers a clean room and bed to stay in while doing the shimanami kaido.
