Had a good stay! Felt safe in a 8 bed female and beds were nice. Small room and not a ton of bathrooms, but we made do! I got lucky with some social roommates but it did seem like more of an older demographic staying there, or groups of people who knew each other. No social events I knew of, but a very decent place to sleep while exploring cork
Tiene demasiada gente hospedada para tan poca zona común y pocos baños.Cuando llegamos antes del check in tuvimos q dejar maletas en un locker de pago. El desayuno no merece mucho la pena.
Bathrooms were small and overcrowded but the beds were great and bedding was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Super comfy beds with curtains and a huge kitchen. Great location!
There are a handful of mediocre reviews on here, but I’m here to dispel those rumors. I stayed in Sheila’s for two night and had a great time. There’s plenty to do just a street over and it’s just a short walk across the river to the rest. They have an incredibly well equipped kitchen (like you could seriously cook anything you want in there) and it was clean and well-maintained. There’s also plenty of great community spaces that encourage socializing and friendliness! Would stay again
Decent place to stay. The female dorm was pretty small and hot, but fine. Hiking the stairs to the 3rd floor every time was a bit rough. I do think they need more bathrooms, they were always full. Great for meeting people though and good location. No problem with cleanliness.Staff was great and super helpful!
So cute, nice time, thank you every one
The staff are amazing, kind, polite, efficient, and caring. That’s the reason I would stay again and recommend you.
A low cost way to spend a night or two in Cork City.
I did not enjoy my stay here as a solo female, there was a lot of older men and I was put into a room where 10/12 people were men. It was not social and didn’t feel clean/ rooms smelled damp. Someone also broke into my stuff :/ but the location and kitchen was nice
Bed pretty uncomfortable but good facilities, breakfast does the job + is only €5 per person and the staff are great!
Overall a really great hostel. Lot of amenities and friendly staff. The only thing that could be improved somewhere to put your clothes and your jackets. I kinda missed a cupboard or wardrobe.
foi muito bom!
Absolutely charming hostel in Cork! Perched atop a hill, it has a cozy, village-like feel that’s both peaceful and picturesque. Just a short walk downhill, though, and you’re right in the heart of the city, surrounded by shops, pubs, and restaurants—truly the best of both worlds. Nearby St. Patrick’s Hill offers stunning sunset views that are well worth the climb. The staff were professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
it's a great hostel, but you need to pay to store your backpack..
Nice hostel
Staff was very accommodating. However for a solo female traveler it is not the most comfortable space. Lots of older men in the mixed dorms, more in the age range of 50-60. Not the hostels fault at all but the guests in my room were extremely noisy and rude. They had boxes and multiple suitcases in quite a small dorm. Taking phone-calls at midnight and eating loudly in bed.
This is a great hostel considering the price. The location is definitely its best feature; it’s situated right in the heart of Cork, making it incredibly easy to get everywhere and find everything you need. It’s a very convenient base for exploring the city. However, we did encounter an issue with the room. The windows weren't easily accessible, which led to a very strong smell of dampness during the first few days because some left wet clothes inside. The staff showed us how to open the w...
Had a terrible experience in a mixed dorm with men snoring so loudly and reeking of sweat and dirty laundry, and the staff so graciously let me move rooms when I told them about it. Only issue I had was that the property is located on a very steep hill so watch out for that if you have a big bag.
