Unpack Hostel

Good, budget hostel. Good for female travelers. Basically a good deal for people with strict budget constraints. The staff is very friendly. But the hostel could do even better with more cleanliness and privacy curtains on the beds. Location is good too.

What a beautiful experience at Unpack. Ronak and Ravi truly left no stone unturned in making my stay both memorable and incredibly comfortable. They are the warmest hosts; always approachable, always attentive, going above and beyond to answer every question and ensure you return each evening to a space that feels both homely and full of life. The Saturday community dinners are such a thoughtful touch; the perfect way to connect with fellow travelers and share stories over great food. 10/10!

I had a great stay in Unpack hostel in Pondy. The hostel is really clean and situated just a walk away from the centre, in a more quiet area. But most of all the staff is super friendly, welcoming and always ready to help

Ich hinterlasse nur selten Bewertungen, aber hier gebe ich gerne etwas zurück. Das Hostel ist wohl das beste, in dem ich bisher war (das sind aber noch nicht sooo viele). Die Gastgeber machen echt den Unterschied: Es fühlt sich wirklich an, als wäre man Teil der Familie. Man bekommt Hilfe beim Buchen des Busses zur Weiterreise (sehr wertvoll!). Mein bester Tag war wohl der, an dem ich einfach nur an einem Strand war. Der war ein Tipp der Gastgeberin, inklusive der Erklärung zum Lokalbus dort...

This is so nice everything is is there the people really help you for everything. You can even rent a scooter for cheap. Even cooking is possible but if your lazy you can still eat in their own menu. The rooftop is really comfy. If I can recommend one hostel in Pondy, it would be this one.

BEST HOSTEL IN SOUTH INDIA. The staff are saints and so happy to help. They foster a fun community with board games may nights, video games all the time, and the chillest rooftop lounge. Very comfy for women. Easy and good value bike rental. Great mix of foreigners and Indians. Breakfast is also very tasty! Love you guys so much.

We had a brilliant stay at Unpack Hostel. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming and everything was very clean. The hosts Kavya and Ron were always super helpful and put on a great Diwali party on the roof. We met lots of lovely people and wished we could have stayed longer, we will definitely return if we find ourselves in Pondicherry again. The location is also great, especially if you hire a scooter, which you can do directly from the hostel. Thanks for having us!

One of the best hostels I’ve been at in terms of friendliness and vibes. The staff really make sure you are included in any activities and are very helpful for helping you find your way to what you want to see. It’s a bit far out of the old town, but the vibe is completely worth it

Had a very pleasant stay.Comfortable beds, enough storage space, clean washrooms, 3 common areas to chill. Ronak, the host, was very helpful in everything. Suggested the best places and guided us with all the information needed to visit them.

Super hostel, personnel super sympa. Jeux de société le soir, vraie volonté de rassembler tout le monde. On peut voir le coucher de soleil depuis le rooftop. 2 petits défauts : cafeteria fermée et un peu excentré, mais le reste fait oublier :)

Super hostel avec un emplacement dans un quartier très calme, accueil très chaleureux et aux petits soins je recommande! :)

Overall good, good location, nice staff but cleanliness could be better It is a huge space so no footwear inside feels really weird (taking the same feet onto the beds) Bed was really comfortable, slept like a cat 30 mins walk from the white town

Can't think of a better place to stay in Pondicherry. The host Raunak is one of the kindest and most helpful hosts i have ever seen. And the vibe is so positive that you'll regret leaving the place

Fantastic place, the roof bar gives it the most amazing social atmosphere, staff are very kind but also very relaxed, really loved it here-> stayed for 4 days longer than expected!
