Villu Villa

Lovely hosts! Lovely breakfast. Nice to have a pool. Had to wait a while to get into building as no one was answering the door so maybe call ahead!!

Had a lovely 2 nights at Villu Villa. Wasanta is a wonderful host; smiley and friendly and very helpful. The pool is perfect after a hard day 'Templing' and the breakfast delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel pour aller visiter les temples de bonne heure :) La piscine est très chouette et accessible 24/24h Aucune aide ou information nous a été proposé. Pour le dinner, ils ne faisaient pas à manger et nous ont proposé des pizzas à faire livrer (épuisées nous avons accepté) en pensant que ce serait local, c’était pizza hut et le gérant ne nous a pas prévenu. Host speaks good English and can help with little trips in and around city. Very safe, nice pool to chill end of the day opened 24/7. Room with AC and fan, decent bathroom. When you look for a safe nice cozy home away from home its a good pick

Voor de prijs een goede plek! Airco deed het en konden makkelijk van het hostel door een taxi opgehaald worden. Ligt dus wel beetje afgelegen, dus hou daar rekening mee. We hadden via het hostel een safari geregeld. Dit voelde achteraf een beetje als een scam. Veel betaalt voor een privé tour en een guide die ons over de dieren kon uitleggen, maar de guide kon uiteindelijk geen Engels. Dus als je safari wil doen, gewoon online boeken! Verder fijne ervaring gehad hier :)

Prima plek voor een overnachting en een verkoeling bij het zwembad.

Wat een chille plek! Wij hebben hier 4 nachten geslapen en het voelde bijna een beetje als thuis. De hosts zijn super aardig en helpen met alles wat nodig is. De kamer is groot en schoon en het zwembad is mega relaxed. We konden zelfs een tandem huren bij het guest house. Binnen 5 minuten fietsen zaten we al in de drukte van de stad. Zeker een aanrader!!!!

Nice place to stay at, the host was super helpful and organized trips with the other guests to share costs. Only small problem was the neighbors dog that was barking at night, but we were offered a different quieter room for the following night.

the host was very kind and supportiv. he organised a driver for the day with a lot of knowlegde, who drove us to the impotant places in Anuradhapura.

The room was spacious and they had a drying rack which was very helpful. They also provided a towel and the family answered any questions I had about my trip. Unfortunately the night I arrived the curtain broke off the wall and was not fixed during my two nights. I was in a room attached to the front of the house with a separate door so felt a little uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. I requested to change room but unable to. There were also dead mosquitos already on bedsheets.

I really enjoyed my stay at Villu Villa. Clean, not smelly and the family owning the place was incredibly nice and helpful. Cute dogs hanging around too.

Slightly away from the town, but given this is a place where you’re likely to walk or cycle everywhere this shouldn’t hold you back. Owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly with organising transport to your next destination- which is slightly harder in this town. Room clean, air conditioning works, and breakfast was good too.

Excellent stay. They have a nice pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. I had a very spacious room with a desk to work at. Good wifi. A bit of a walk to things but an easy tuktuk drive anywhere. Very accommodating staff as they helped me plan the next leg of my trip. Everything one could ask for!

Super friendly staff. Very cheap. Everything you need in a home stay. Also the pool is wonderful.
