Chuchumbé Boutique Hotel & Hostel

A great place to stay, with wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. The staff spoke English and were accommodating to me, looking after my things, giving me great local recommendations and ensuring it was a wonderful stay. It was a great way to connect to the culture of the area, and is positioned near three gyms, next door to a taco place, and near a couple of convenience stores including a large supermarket. I may come back soon, and will absolutely look to stay here.

Bonjour, Je suis très déçue par cet hostel. Arrivée : l'hôtel est fermé, je suis censée avoir reçu des instructions par WhatsApp mais comme toute étrangère, je ne peux me connecter qu'avec le wifi, donc je n'ai reçu aucun message. Super Hotel, die Lage ist perfekt. Man kommt fußläufig in die Altstadt, Oxxo, Essen und alles was man braucht ist in der Nähe. Spezielles Dankeschön geht an Matthew, er kümmert sich mit viel Leidenschaft um die Gäste und schafft eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre!

En general fue una muy buena estadía, nos la pasamos muy bien y el lugar es muy acogedor. Se podría mejorar la limpieza de la cocina y del baño, pero aparte de eso estuvo todo muy bien. El personal muy amable.

El lugar está súper limpio, el personal súper amable. Recomiendo por su ubicación.

La host fue muy amable y la atención buena, pero el lugar no es como lo presentan en las fotos. Solo tiene tres cuartos, así que no es un hostel ideal para conocer gente, y la terraza que muestran ya no existe. El lugar está bastante descuidado y mi cuarto tenía mucha humedad. Por la mañana hay bastante ruido de carros, lo que dificulta dormir. Lo positivo es que los colchones son cómodos y si solo buscas pasar una noche y pagar muy poco, puede servir, pero le falta bastante cariño al lug...

Das Hostel hat Zimmer in anderen Gebäude 2 Straßen weiter..?! Das Personal war kaum da. Bei der Ankunft um 6pm (Check-in möglich 11pm), per Whatsapp angekündigt, war sie genervt so lange warten zu müssen?! 20min vor Ankunft mitzuteilen das ihr Kartengerät nicht funktioniert.. Unterkunft an sich war aber sicher & ein paar Fußminuten auch Restaurants erreichbar, zum Zentrum läuft man ein Stück. Mit angekündigter Gepäckaufbewahrung wurde danach Geld verlangt.. 1 Nacht ok aber Achtung vor...

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. This little hostel has a nice rooftop that’s built around a whimsical tree, and it’s close to the sea. My one complaint was that folks were talking/yelling very loudly in the common room until late in the night—since my room was right off of it, it was impossible to sleep which was very frustrating. Doesn’t seem like they keep quiet hours.

Roof only leaks when it rains. Chedraui is a 10 minute walk away. Nothing else is really close. Major walks to see/do anything. Bed is comfy when it's dry. Bring OFF! Lots of mosquitos inside and out Definitely not touristy, for non Mexican people. Beaches are great when you get outta town.

Everyone who staff of hotel was very kind. The public place was always clean. It was a very cute hotel. The price was very reasonable. It was close to the sea and convenient for shopping by rental bike ride.I would definitely like to come here again soon!Gracias!for the 5 days.

Staff was nice. Location is less than desirable but not many options. I got a private because that was the only thing open. The room had own entrance which I liked but I never saw anyone one else from the hostel. Really chill vibe.

staff was great but this is a very odd hostel. Really more of a small hotel. Most of the rooms are in a separate building a couple of blocks from the main location where the kitchen is. Roof leaked in my room. clean enough, odd neighborhood, seemed safe but not really close to anything other than the boardwalk which is nice and a few blocks away. Kitchen area works but staff is often using it to cook their own food. Saw 1other hostel guest during 4 days. Not many options in Veracruz.

aunque este a 2 cuadras de donde esta la ubi ubicación, la zona es un poco solitaria pero bastante centrica y el lugar es bastante agradable con algo de espacio todo limpio y tienes varias cosas de cocina

Cuando hice la reservación no tuve la información de que la habitación no está dentro del hostal, si no a unas cuadras de ahí. Fue lo que no gustó, ya que está muy solo por esa zona. A mi parecer esto lo hace algo inseguro. Si viajas acompañado no creo que haya tanto problema, sin embargo no tienes el ambiente de hostal. es un sitio decepcinante, entre lunes a jueves despues de las 4 de la tarde no hay nadie, se siente inseguro las habitaciones son con acceso directo desde la calle y no brinda un ambiente de seguridad.

The room didn’t look at all like on the pictures, the building was not even the same. The door is just a thin wooden door and when i told them that it’s not working probably the only answer was that it makes no problem normally. In the morning I did not have water in the bathroom for about 2 hours without getting an excuse for that. The location is really bad as well, I felt super unsafe in the area as well with a door which isn’t properly working and I saw several prostitutes on the stree...
