Great hostel, reasonably priced with very friendly staff. We stayed in private and had everything you could need. It’s also really well located to explore Cairo
The hostel is nice, and clean. The personal is kind but whenever you ask for booking a taxi, they charge you double or triple of the usual price, inventing excuses as "it's a long distance route" or that the price is double because we're in 2 people. Once they asked for 20$ for a taxi from the hostel to the sphinx Airport, and then, the following day, they asked 30$. At the end we booked it by Uber and we paid only 315 Egyptian pound, that are like circa 10$.
What a gem. We loved our stay here. The staff were so welcoming and full of great tips on everything from how to find the most delicious khoshary to the best things to look out for at the museum. They also make a fine breakfast. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the facilities (kitchen, washing machine, lounge with netflix) worked well for us. Our room was clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. If we come to Cairo again Champollion would be top of the list for places to stay.
Spotlessly clean, comfortable, stylish rooms in the heart of Cairo. Close to amenities and attractions. Staff is hospitable and helpful, always available for advice or suggestions. Good breakfast served in the cozy lobby. Highly recommend.
The place is pretty new it’s small it is on a very busy street that has constant traffic all hours of the night. We didn’t have running water for in the building for one day. They are doing construction in the building so you can hear that as well. There were more families staying there than anything definitely not a party house. It was ok not a place to stay if you want to meet people. The location is great but noisy. Depends on what you’re looking for.
