Gubeikou Great Wall Yunyeshu Boutique Guesthome

Had a great stay at this guest house! The owners are accomodating & super nice! Thoroughly enjoyed the karaoke on the first night. They prepare breakfast & dinner for you, if you’d like, and also help organise the trip to the wall. Both the food & driving is an extra charge. Something we weren’t aware of in the beginning, perhaps would have been nice to know. But it is definitely convenient to have their help.

We had an amazing time with Jack and Xiu. They are extremely nice and available for every request. Xiu cooks the best meals!! Everything was perfect, they helped us to get to the Great Wall and to get back. Would definitely come back!

Xiu and Jack are incredible hosts! I would recommend anyone that wants an authentic and fun Great Wall experience to stay at theirs!

Best place ever! Jack and Xiu were such lovely and accommodating hosts and made our trip to the wall such a memorable one.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the whole house has a heating floor system. Even the shower room floor was nice and warm, making the stay super comfy in the winter. Shou makes amazing coffee and her homemade food is top notch. Jack was so kind and took us on a sunrise hike at the Gubeikou Great Wall. He also helped us plan our itinerary for Jinshanling Great Wall and Gubeikou Water Town. Thank you!

100% recommend. Jack and Xiu are wonderful and treated me like family. They will recommend and transport to the best hiking spots on the Great Wall. The food is also amazing home cooked Chinese food. It is 100% worth the trek outside Beijing, to see this part of the wall which is beautiful and tranquil, but also to stay with Jack and Xiu. Thanks for everything !

Highly recommend Xiu and Jack. Their hospitality, knowledge, and generosity is unmatched. The hostel was more of a homestay, and with great facilities. Beds were comfy and the room was cosy. Jack personally gave us a lift to the Great Wall and even offered to take us to a different part of the wall which was scenic and free. Xiu made home-cooked meals and also spoke English which helped with booking further stays/accommodation. Don’t miss out! Jazz, Max & Ruben

Fantastic place! Jack and Xiu were so kind and welcoming, and the food that Xiu made us was incredible! The home and rooms are clean, comfy and beautiful! The Great Wall was incredible! I will never forget my time here. They helped me navigate the area and get tickets for activities. I highly recommend booking a stay here!

Compartiendo los mejores consejos locales. Xiu hace la comida china más rica que probé! Y después del banquete, una divertida noche de karaoke!! De las mejores experiencias que tuve!! Best Hostel I have ever stayed at in my life!! I wouldn’t even call it a hostel, more of a home stay. Jack and Xiu were so kind and welcoming (and good singers) and the food that Xiu made us was incredible!!! I will never forget my time here. The great wall was incredible and so was the nearby water town!!

Jack and Xiu were such kind, helpful and welcoming hosts. Our room was clean, not to mention beautifully designed. They helped us navigate the area - I don’t know what we’d have done without them!

They helped us with everything, cooked sooo well and we're so grateful to have met these beautiful humans. We hope that we'll be able to come back soon ! Even though we spent just a day there, we were so sad to leave.. Oh and the hotel is stunning but the hosts are even more wonderful.

Highly recommended for travelling the great wall. Jack and his wife treat you like family and take you to the best viewpoints around the area. They also make great Chinese meals every day for me who was vegetarian I had trouble with payments on my phone and they were able to help. Overall a great authentic travel experience and I hope to see you again one day. Thank you!

The couple is lovely. Nothing was trouble for them. Very good food. Spotless clean. They helped us to organise the great wall tour to 2 different sections and to the village nearby at a reasonable price. Private transfer. Good coffee. They pick you up at the station and bring you back to station.

I had the best stay in this Guesthome! The hosts are super nice and help you with everything. There were some weather issues during my stay but they did everything they could so I felt safe and could still see the Great Wall. Very modern rooms, very clean, feels like you are part of a home. Be prepared for karaoke!
