+ Met a few nice people.
- The stuff misinformed me on the pricing. My reservation was 75 usd I wanted to pay by card on entry. They said it would be cheaper by cash. I took out cash but it turned out cash payments have 21% Vat. I told them as a foreigner I shouldn't be paying VAT. They said that everyone pays it... They didn't even give me any ticket or payment confirmation simply took the money and that's it I doubt they pay and VAT to the tax office. Additionally as for a place who calls themselves social it was really dead, a few people around the bar and after 10 it was empty (weekend days).
+ os professionais que trabalham no lugar são muito atenciosos e sempre procuram te ajudar.
- camas proximas a parede voltada para rua fazem muito barulho, não há respeito as regras do hotel como ligarem a luz as 2am, ou ficar gritando e rindo como bebados as 3am prejudicando o sono de quem tem passeios. em nenhum momento os funcionários tomaram alguma atitude em relação a esses problemas.

Je ne jugerais pas ici les dortoirs car je n’ai pas séjourné, juste la réservation d’activité. J’ai réservé un tour de cheval + asado vu sur hostelworld 24h avant par mail en envoyant mes coordonnées, passeport, etc pour réserver. On me signale de payer pour faire valoir la réservation. Bad price/room ratio, but overall good until I had to checkout because there was no space in my 6 bed room, it was my last day and I was saying goodbye to my friends, but the staff recognized that I already checkout and instead of giving a pass or being relaxed about this they singled me out and I had to pay 10000 pesos to be able to stay in the common area of the hostel( even if I purchased drinks, and I wasn't the only one who wasn't from the hostel at that point) I think it was of very bad ta...
Muy mala experiencia. Nos cobraron por un daño que ya estaba en la habitación después de irnos (un hueco en una pared de durlock, escondido tras una cortina). Lo peor, dejamos la camioneta afuera estacionada, y la última noche no sabemos quienes, nos rompieron la lona de la caja de carga y se llevaron varias cajas de vino que teníamos para el viaje de vuelta. The staff were friendly, and the hostel was spacious with many facilities, but it wasn’t worth the high price. Breakfast was just a slice of cake, and most guests (about 80%) only spoke Spanish, making it harder to connect. Hostel etiquette was poor, with noise at night and messy shared spaces—perhaps just bad timing! Compared to better and cheaper hostels we stayed at, this felt overpriced. For half the price, it would be worth it.
This hostel only cares about your money. It is soooo overpriced, the breakfast hardly counts as a breakfast, they want you out by 10AM, drinks are overpriced, and the atmosphere is very cliquey and strange. Some staff are super nice and others are just plain rude. Other hostels in the area are much better and way more reasonably priced. You get the feeling you’re just a dollar sign to them. Don’t listen to the hype like I did - save your money and go elsewhere!
Despite the hostel's great social scene, I'm giving it 2 stars due to its dishonest bar service. They prohibit outside alcohol but water down their gin, which we noticed after several drinks had no effect. Seeing staff refill a gin bottle from a hidden container confirmed our suspicions. This deceit contrasts sharply with genuine drinks at nearby bars, tarnishing the overall experience. This hostel is about making as much money off it's guests as it can
Dormí en una habitación pegada a la cocina. No pude dormir ningún día, los ruidos terminaban tarde y arrancaban a las 5:00am de nuevo. El servicio de la recepción no fue muy amable y no me dieron ninguna solución. Tuve que irme a otro hotel, obviamente no me devolvieron ningún porcentaje del dinero. La habitación esta bien, wifi bueno para trabajar.

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Argentina!!! I was only supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up extending to 4! Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are sooo comfy. Lots of areas to socialise or relax and watch a film. Free breakfast with coffee or tea which is always a plus. Staff are AMAZING. So kind and always willing to help. Special mention to Cami who is quite possibly the best hostel staff I have ever met. She made me feel so comfortable in the hostel even despite my lack of Spa...

Excelente lugar! Quiero destacar especialmente el servicio de limpieza de las áreas comunes y habitaciones por el personal y también la atención de recepción y buena onda de todos los voluntarios! Buena ubicación , buenas camas y presión de agua en las instalaciones! Súper recomendable ☺️
Me lo recomendaron mis hijos y me sorprendió. Excelente en todo, limpieza, servicios, personal etc. Personal versátil, dinámico, excelente en cada puesto de servicio y encantados con su trabajo. Tienen claro el trabajo de Servicios en Turismo. Una sugerencia....cambien el artefacto de cocina por una industrial. Les quedó chica😁. Súper recomendable.
La pasé muy bien en Gorilla Hostel. Desde que llegué me hicieron sentir cómodo: tanto el staff como los voluntarios siempre fueron súper amables y con la mejor onda. Silvio Alan, Agus, Cami, Mari, siempre predispuestos, buena onda y generando un ambiente muy social. Algo que suma mucho es que organizan eventos y actividades para conocer gente, además de cenas que te resuelven la noche y están buenísimas para compartir. El desayuno cumple y tienen la opción de agregar cosas por un poquito...
All staff were amazing but a special shoutout to Belu and Camila for being so lovely and helping us feel at home. Love Mendoza and this place is great
Great hostel! comfy beds, great atmosphere. only issue was the 'free breakfast' was often a slice of cake (wtf). I would have been happy with bread over cake! plus you cant make your own breakfast during that time as staff are cooking breakfast for those that choose to pay a bit more for pancakes or eggs.
Ame este lugar, la ubicación es increíble y casa espacio también. Mención especial a cami que es una genia organizando planes sociales y haciendo que todos se integren. Really liked this hostel. Really easy to meet people, loads of info on tours and facilities were super clean especially the bathrooms which had hairdryers

I loved it! so many people from all over the world which surprised me because it's off season, I keep going to San Rafael and I come back;)
Thank you to Mari, Cami, Val, Rau and the rest of the staff for an amazing stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Events almost every night to get to know the rest of the guests. Will definitely book again if I come back to Mendoza
I mean really one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff, Camilla and Valentine and Emma (I think was her name) and everyone else, they were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, it was always always clean. Excellent bed. Great location. Good happy hour deal on beer. I’d stay again easily.
Such a beautiful place a lot of travellers from all around the world very nice and friendly and helpful staff. They have a lot of volunteers local people that know around and very friendly and take you or suggest you for good places to go in special Camila that was working there and recommend me beautiful pieces

I arrived off a 14hr night bus from Buenos Aires and was welcomed by Camila. Despite the language barrier she went out of her way to escort me to the bathroom with a private shower so I could reset. She also welcomed me to the hostel hosted BBQ, which was a great way to meet people. A beautiful hostel in the perfect part of town. 10/10, stay here!

the location. it's amazing is an elegant and beautiful area of the city the hostel is very comfortable not is luxury but the rooms and spaces are comfortable and pleasant the room I liked very much above all the beds were barbaric. maybe I didn't feel so good at atmosphere level environment many people that is a very international hostel but it was extremely difficult for me to relate and I am very open. a special mention to the owner who is a genius and I loved meeting her in a beautiful city
One of the most social hostels I’ve been to! Met loads of lovely people there, clean dorms and loads of activities, pool table etc! Only one stove in the kitchen and free breakfast is pretty basic but other than that a great social stay!
