Eklo Lille

I missed my train so i also missed my first night there, i tried to check in the next day but my booking had been cancelled and i had to pay again! Was not happy about this because i had travelled so far then had to pay for an extra night without being refunded for the last one.

The night I stayed there was a their within the room which had the associated Police being called. The staff were amazing and I was not affected by the stay but i feel as if an Age policy would have been preferable to se sure that certain persons aren’t able to board with younger persons.

Really bad experience at an average hostel ! I had an incident one evening where the taxi driver who dropped me off asked me to pay extra cash even though my friend had paid him. I went to the reception to ask to withdraw money or any kind of help from the man working on reception and he had zero empathy for my situation. He did nothing to help me or speak to the taxi driver in french. Never met such a rude and unhelpful reception person. The rooms were basic and not cleaned all week.

Habituée des Eklo, j’ai été un peu déçue par celui-ci. Malgré un prix attractif et un personnel agréable, la chambre manquait d’entretien. En effet, la chasse d’eau fonctionnait mal et le personnel explique que c’est normal. Le couvercle de la poubelle de salle de bain avait été retiré car sûrement cassé, la porte coulissante de cette même pièce n’était pas fixée au sol et les toiles d’araignées dans les coins de la porte d’entrée de la chambre ne dataient pas d�...

Malheureusement il manquait la serviette, le savon et pas de climatisation. Chambre hyper petite

It is a little far from the Historical Centre. One employee was not nice as the other receptionist. That was a shame!

The room was tiny, with a very small window, it didn't feel comfortable. During the night we couldn't sleep because of intense humidity. Not sure where it came from, maybe from the bathroom that doesn't have a window, nor a ventilation system. The window was open but no cool air from outside came in. We also did not want to open the curtain because it's right in front of the hallway and always lights on. Staff was also not very helpful. Restaurant was also closed. We stayed 1 night in stead of 3

A bit of a walk from city centre but very affordable, safe and friendly hostel. The staff are very nice and all speak English

It’s a nice hostel, the rooms are comfortable and you have a lot of privacy. It is 40 minutes on foot away from the city center, but if you don’t mind the distance it is very pleasant.

I was staying here on my way to Normandy by car. If you are travelling by car it is the perfect location since it is not far from main roads and has free parking. Very clean and comfortable.

Awesome staff ! Very friendly and helpful ! Bed is tidy, mattress is comfortable. Quite neighbourhood and free parking ! Public transport is nearby.

Great establishment. A bit far from the center but has transportation available.

Fantastic value for money. Although our first room had a problem with the shower we were quickly swapped to another room. The staff were great and the breakfast was a nice mix of pastries and cereals.

Staff was great! However… the windows face towards the hall so there is no privacy when they are open. In the summer it gets hot and stuffy easily so the window situation does not help this. There were a lot of mosquitoes too. A lot of school groups came around this time too and they were extremely noisy. Lastly the bread was moldy.

Very good for the price, especially the fact they are open until 12pm. Only downsides are : They don't give you locks for the lockers Equipment in the bathroom is a bit lackluster or broken. It's nice they have lamps in the bunk beds, but sadly no curtains.

I can recommend this place! Friendly staff, free parking, it's clean, the beds are really comfortable (I've been in a 6 dorm room) and the kitchen is clean. The atmosphere is really good. it's a bit outside but good to get into the city center.

Super great place with nice facilities and tonnes of parking. I'm not sure if the location is so great if you're without a car. great value and cool to work from during the day
