West Beach Hotel

It did the job but not best hostel I've stayed at. Very limited communal facilities. Dorms were fine but very expensive for a shared sleeping space (Brighton is just expensive though). Staff were very friendly.

1 night I got a bunk bed, under the matress was a hell of dust and sticky dirt. Went to get someone to clean it.The cleaning staff had left so we got a new room for two nights that was good, and was it was predicted that we most likely could keep thisbut then we had to change. This new room had no light or el by bunkbed,bathroom dirty, USB not working. Went down to sort it, and met a rude staff. Most staff was nice, but we wouldnt have stayed one more night if we knew how stressful it would be.

Rude, incompetent staff, unclear booking conditions, no care or respect for customer safety, place was incredibly dusty & nasty, flies around plants, not worth a penny

Better off going to YHA or paying a few £ more to go to the nice new hostel Selina Brighton

Good location and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For the value, I was expecting the rooms to not also be more prepared (plugs next to your bed, individual lighting, bunk bed quality, etc.) but also to be cleaner.

The hotel advertises itself with the bright photos of common space, however this "Cowork" is not a large room, doubling as breakfast room. Not a place to socialize, there is no such place. The lobby is very crammed. The main problem with the hotel is cleanliness. White bedsheets have stains on them, like from a child's pen drawings or something similar. Breakfast is just cereal, crumpets and orange juice. I would choose something else for this price in Brighton.

They let homeless unsafe and unwell people stay there, not safe for families or young people.

Worst experience in a hotel, failure to tell me until the day of arrival the cost of my room had doubled until the day of arrival meant that i was short of money the length of my trip. Their coworking space is in the same area as the breakfast area, so if you're talking above a whisper you get stared out of it by people trying to work. The food offering is poor even for a budget hotel.

This was an interesting place that doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a hostel or hotel, however the staff were very friendly and it have great facilities.

The absence of a kitchen made this hostel less useful than it could have been. Even the microwave had been removed and the restaurant wasn't even open.

A bit expensive but I'll admit that the property was nice and very well situated. The staff was amazing, the was room was clean (the bathroom as well). Only flaw would be the absence of a kitchen.

Great experience, very clean hostel that also provided towels shampoo, hair drier directly in the shared room. The rooms also had lockers with keys. Great experience overall, very friendly and efficient staff.

I stayed for one night in this hostel, is safe and clean and the position is very close to the centre. the staff is kind and friendly and I reccomend to stay here :)

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to! It almost felt like a hotel room. My room had sea view and the bathroom was very modern. The staff was so friendly and easygoing! The atmosphere and people in the common room were great and very chill, so I enjoyed hanging out there. Only little minus point is no real kitchen, just microwave but you can cook surprisingly well with just that. Hopefully, I’ll be back very soon! ❤️

Een heel gezellig en mooi hotel aan het strand. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk! Er is klein beetje achterstallig onderhoud, maar het zijn verder wel hele fijne kamers.

We had a lovely extended weekend at West Beach Hotel. Katherine and James at the reception were very welcoming and were very flexible with changes to our booking as our sister was unwell. They also did everything to make us feel comfortable and even facilitated a room change when something unexpected in our original room arose. The breakfast was great.

we loved our stay at west beach hotel! we stayed in a 6 bed dorm, and unfortunately were a bit unlucky with roommates being noisy and messy in the en-suite, but otherwise had no issues. the property is in such a perfect and central location right in the seafront and conveniently for me, a 1 minute walk from the vegan fish and chip shop. we were incredibly well taken care of by lovely catherine, (sorry if i have spelt this wrong) who went out of her way to make us feel at home. thank you!

I enjoyed the atmosphere and my room was comfortable. The only thing I would like to mention is that the wifi was not working well. I would probably choose another room on my next visit for better access.

set up of rooms is great, easy to walk into town

Amazing hostel. Friendly staff, beautiful decorations, a wonderful large dining area with access to utensils, endless supply of tea and coffee. I especially loved the curtains around each bunk bed and seperate lighting.

everyone was really kind and welcoming. the rooms were clean and the shower had hot water… a big recommendation!

L’hostel est très agréable. Les chambres sont grandes et propres. Le seul aspect négatif est l’aspect social, ce n’est pas le meilleur endroit pour rencontrer du monde. De plus, il n’y a pas de cuisine, ce qui n’est pas très pratique lorsqu’on voyage avec un petit budget.

It's a charming hotel but I was disappointed that the sunlounge shown in the photos has been closed indefinitely?
