Wifi was unusable. Rarely worked at all anywhere. Everything else was excellent, but I can't rate above 6 without basic wifi. This is an easy fix, but an absolute necessity for a hostel. Please take this complaint seriously. If you have data and don't need wifi consider this 9-10 star hostel.
Très peu de rencontres sur place Dortoirs donnant sur le salon sans porte ! Mais j’ai très bien dormi Hyper propre et tres beaux espaces communs

El dia que llegamos llovía fuerte y estuvimos cerca de 15 minutos afuera del hostel esperando que alguien nos abriera...fue desagradable. La atmósfera es 0, no vimos a casi nadie durante nuestra estadía. En cuanto a la ubicación no la recomiendo ya que no hay nada que hacer. Hay un minimarket y comida rápida. La pieza era como la foto, con ac y toallas. No lo recomiendo si viajas solo.
The day we arrived it was raining heavily and we were outside the hostel for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to open the door...it was unpleasant. the atmosphere is zero, we saw almost no one during our stay. as for the location I don't recommend it as there is nothing to do. there is a mini-market and fast food. the room was like the photo, with air conditioning and towels. I don't recommend it if you are traveling alone.
Das Hostel ist an sich gut ausgestattet, leider sind es keine richtigen Zimmer, da alles offen ist. Was bedeutet, dass man jedes einzelne Gespräch von Personen in der Chillarea mitbekommt, da diese direkt 2m neben den Betten ist. Es sind keine abgeschlossen Räume, dadurch hat man nie Ruhe. Die Lage ist nicht besonders gut.
The hostel is well equipped in itself, unfortunately it is not a real room, as everything is open. which means that you can see every single conversation of people in the chillarea, as it is directly 2m next to the beds. it is not a closed room, so you do not have peace. the location is not particularly good.
Bei Ankunft niemand an der Rezeption, obwohl sie hàtte besetzt sein sollen. Musste draussen im Regen vor dem Zaun warten. Zum Glùck hat der Taxifahrer mit mir gewartet und etliche Male angerufen! Ich konnte das noch nicht, da noch keine Sim-Karte fùr CR. Im Hostel selbst konnte ich dann eine kaufen. Wie sich spàter rausstellte; ziemlich ùberteuert und wenig zu empfehlende Company (Claro, oft kein Empfang im Vergleich zu Kölbi). Einzelzimmer war ok. Draussen laute Geräte-Geräusche in der ...
When I arrived there was no one at the reception, although they should have been busy. Had to wait outside in the rain in front of the Fence. Luckily the taxi driver waited with me and called several times! I still couldn't do that, as there was no SIM-Kard for CR yet. In the Hostel itself I was able to buy one. As it turned out later; pretty overcontrolled and little to recommend Company (Claro, often no reception compared to Kölbi). Single room was ok. Outside loud equipment-Noise at night
This is a very nice hostel! When I first realized the dorms were out in the open, it was kind of weird, but everything was okay. The people there are very friendly and will help you. It is a beautiful place. The showers are nice and hot. There is a nice shuttle service. When I whats app'd them with questions, they let me know very quickly and gave a lot of good advice. It is easy and cheap to get to from the airport. And it only cost me $7. Nothing to complain about - it is great!
The staff and the room itself were great. Very boring though , no liveliness , and not much around the area to do.
A nice hostel although Costa Rica in general is too expensive and not worth the cost
The place is clean and well equipped. If you don’t mind getting up at 6 in the morning due to no doors and loud staff, than it is a good place for you to stay at. No connections to other travellers, because most of them just stayed a night before leaving or moving on.
Hostel is oke. We stayed at the private room orange. Beds were not super comfy, and the ensuite shared bathroom was not really clean or wel maintained. The staff is very helpfull. Kitchen looks good. And the information they provided was very usefull. Loved te tip to go to the green organic market at satherday morning and have breakfast there. That was our highlight in san jose. Earplugs will help you sleep. Place is off center but Uber works perfectly in this capital.

I really loved my stay! The accommodation was clean and the bed was comfortable, especially after 14 hours on planes! The staff was very friendly!
War ein netter Zwischebstopp bevor ich weiter gefahren bin. Hatte gehofft noch paar Leute kennenzulernen bevor ich gehe, aber leider gab es keinen Social-Vibe. Trotzdem war alles sauber und gepflegt. 😄
There was a nice Zwischebstopp before I continued driving. i was hoping to meet a few more people before i left, but unfortunately there was no Social-Vibe. nevertheless everything was clean and tidy. 😄
Sehr angenehmes Hostel für die Überbrückung in San José, sicherere Gegend als viele andere, 24/7 Rezeption, sehr sauber und bequeme Betten mit Vorhängen.
Very pleasant Hostel für die Überbrückung in San José, safer area than many others, 24/7 Reception, very clean and comfortable Beds with Curtains.
Einfaches Hostel, hat aber alles was man braucht. Die Küche war leider nicht sehr sauber, das lag aber eher a den Gästen als am Personal. Die Rezeption war super freundlich:)
The kitchen was not very clean unfortunately, but that was more to the Guests than the Personal.

So far so good! Very clean! If you want something just to sleep and quiet? This is the perfect for you. Very chill and quiet. Love it! Opssss also good for solo travel too ☺️☺️☺️
Strange place, I didn’t see anyone else staying there. The workers didn’t really speak english but were trying their best. They also offer lots of information about the bus schedules and stuff. Overall good place for a night.
I stayed here to be within walking distance to the stadium and it had everything I needed, but wasn’t the most comfortable for the price. The area is quiet but felt a bit sketchy to arrive alone at night, and you must enter/exit through a locked gate, so at times I had to hunt down a staff member to let me out and couldn’t leave freely. Bathrooms are outside separate from the dorm area and didn’t always have hot water. There was a cute cat and cold filtered water.

Really, a great hostel. Clean, plenty of showers and toilets. Love the outdoor sinks! You get sheets, pillow AND a blanket. The bunks are really really roomy and well-appointed with shelving, outlets, a fan and curtains for complete privacy. BUT... it is true that the bunks are open to the rest of the living areas. Wasn't really a problem for me, bc while I was there, it was the quietest hostel, ever! I suggest bringing earplugs & a sleep mask, just in case. Staff was helpful and so friendly.

I stayed for just over a week. Along with the modern, quirky design of the place, I loved the warm hospitality, the community vibe. It’s a perfect, safe location near La Sabana park, trendy cafes, museums, supermarkets and bus stop. I felt totally safe with 24hr security and great concierge services. Highly recommend! 🦋🌸
Das Hostel wurde immer schön sauber gehalten. Klar es ist alles offen und hat keine abgetrennten Räume mit Türen in den Mehrbettzimmer, aber dass wird einem ja ganz schnell klar wenn man bucht und sich die Rezensionen durchliest. Das Personal ist auch sehr nett und stets hilfbereit.
The hostel has always been kept beautifully clean. of course it is all open and has no separate rooms with doors in the multifamily rooms, but that becomes very clear to one very quickly when one buys and reads the reviews. the staff is also very neat and always helpful.
It is Not Zoo Central, next to a school very Safe neighbourhood. The Transfer from Airport was perfect. Only stayed one night after 15h of flights and Had mich needed Rest in the Single bedroom with ensuit. Thank you!
Was a solid hostel, but like other already said the "dorms" are not in rooms and are open to the common area. there are large lockers for your stuff so that's not a problem. there was almost Noone here when I was there (off season) but during the main season It will be louder most likely.

La Capital staff made the stay wonderful! They were extremly friendly & accomodating. Our only complaints were that the shower water could not get hot and you can hear everything even when in your own room with the door shut - it was difficult to fall asleep to loud clients, but that’s not the hostel’s fault. It’s a 45 minute walk from the city center & only a 30 minute drive to the airport. Overall, we would stay here again!
The layout is very open, but it’s nice! There are no doors for the dorms, it opens into the hall. The outdoor area is a nice area to hangout. The employees are very kind and helpful.
Fantastic hostel, the staff is really nice also very good if you want meet Traveler. The hostel is clean and the location it’s very good. Im recommending 100%
