The pousada de juventude cancelled my reservation on the day of my arrival after I politely emailed them to say I was enroure and looking forward to my stay that evening ... I believe if I had not emailed them I would have only found out about the cancellation on my arrival. This is I feel was highly unprofessional and very poor customer service and left me having to book other much more expensive accommodation at very short notice ..

Far from the center, everything from the 50s, and I got harassed, threatened and insulted all night long by two other travelers in my dorm. Staff was nice tho, but the night receptionist didn’t do anything to handle the situation

This is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. This was primarily due to the staff. I took the night bus from Porto arriving at 6:00am in Faro. Understandably check in was not possible, but the staff would not even allow me to stay in any the common areas. To make matters worse, I was told that I did not have a reservation and that I would have to come back at 6:00pm. After being told to leave and having the door closed on my face, I attended school on the street in the rain until I was ...

this is one of the worst place Ihave liv so far in Europe. I had a bad experience here with cleaning and room. I could not sleep for an hour at night. I booked for a female dorm 4 bed. I got a top bed and there was no charging point on the wall. there are only 3 points in the lower wall. the room is suffocating and while breathing I felt air is dusty. The room is moderately clean and all the sheets are no longer white. There is no charging point for everyone. it just gave me a feeling that I end

The room smelled like sweaty feet and the temperature in there was above 35 degrees. It wasn't suites to sleep in there, with only one ventilator in the room. I didn't sleep at all during my stay. There were barely any sockets to charge your phone. In the room was a place to put in your bag but it could not be locked. The 10 lockers in the hallway were all taken. The kitchen was very small and very dirty.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience, as I don’t ever want to return. The appearance on arrival was nothing short of a juvenile detention centre. If you enjoy sleeping in your own sweat then look no further! The bunk beds also produced so much noise I thought I was initiating a natural disaster. After a game of hide and seek, 4 plugs were located, however there’s no need to worry about charged devices and alarms, as the squawking peacocks outside have you covered no matter the time.

If you like to sweat, have the worlds worst sleep, have no where to charge your phone and be woken up by a screaming peacock at 6am, then this is the place for you.

Struttura vecchia, con pochi dettagli alle persone. Ci sarebbe piaciuto avere una tendina nel letto per maggiore privacy e un numero di prese in stanza almeno pari alle persone e vicine ai letti. Colazione inclusa buona, personale carino ma nulla di eccezionale. Abbiamo trovato i bagni un po’ sporchi comunque considerando l’ambiente di ostello.

Extremely basic hostel, however, not awful. But the rooms are disgustingly hot at night, with no air con, just a couple of fans. Literally the worst sleep ever. Was looking forward to the breakfast included but was underwhelmed even though it was free. The outdoor terrace was spacious and cute.

Only met one staff member. People aren’t really friendly. The men’s bathroom was disgusting. Whole place was very empty. The beds were comfortable and clean but make a lot of noise when you move. Not much to do in faro and not much to do in the area.

Die Unterkunft war in allen Belangen gut. Vor allem das Personal war super nett. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis mit inkl. Frühstück ist überragend.

an actually good breakfast included, the room had a heater, warm, quiet, peaceful, calm the bathrooms were perfectly clean, the staff are nice. there is an amazing balcony!!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man kann sein Gepäck sowohl am Anreise- als auch am Abreisetag dort noch stehen lassen. Das Frühstück war auch top. Sehr einfache Einrichtung, aber für den Preis vollkommen in Ordnung. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass es in meinem Zimmer (6 Betten) leider nur 2 Steckdosen gab.

Pros include feeling safe, included breakfast, & helpful (but unusual) staff. Cons is that the vibe is pretty weird, not very social, no AC.

Our room was too hot in the night but no other compaints

value for money hostel. the free breakfast was superb the same for the terrace where you could socialise. only downside was the non existent AC in my room at least.

He pasado un buen tiempo en este hostal muchísimas gracias por hacer mi estancia agradable en especial a Pedro por sus recomendaciones de lugares para visitar, el desayuno es incluido y es tipo buffet buenísimo para comenzar el día lleno de energía. Everyone was super nice and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was good and the terrace you could eat on delivered the perfect vacation feeling. It’s really close to a supermarket and a beautiful park which is super convenient. The ferry to the beach isn’t that far away either. The only thing that bothered me was the extrem heat in the bedroom at night. Otherwise a totally good place.

Super freundliches Personal, Preis-Leistung stimmt! An der Sauberkeit der Duschen könnte man jedoch arbeiten, ebenfalls gab es kleine Käfer in meinem Bett.. das Frühstück ist etwas mager, doch da es inkludiert ist, kann man sich darüber wohl kaum beschweren.

Overall the place was really good. Secure, clean and spacious rooms (we shared a twin), and the breakfast included was great. The location is 15 minutes or so from the centre by foot and it’s next to a big supermarket. The facilities are basic but for the price I’d say it’s absolutely worth it when staying in Faro!

nice staff, good accompdation, nice bathroom & showers, but the room was very hot wirh zero fresh air even though we had fans (esp. at night) + bedsheets made out of sweaty material + the peacock next door woke us up early hahah all in all would come again:)

Its my second stay at this property, the best value for money in Faro and I will even say across the Algarve coast as it includes a great continental breakfast. The place is very basic, do not expect great modern facilities, but its a great choice if you just need a roof to stay, clean bed and room, showers, terrace, living room and good breakfast with all what you need to start the day and to explore Ria Formosa, Ilha Deserta & Praia Do Faro. I’ve just an small issue, but Selma sorted it out...

Prima Unterkunft, Jugendherberge. Jederzeit wieder

Lovely staff, basic hostel but has everything you need. Lockers to store bags outside room once check out. Breakfast is good.
