Filthy hostel, bugs and dust on the sheets. 2 showers and toilets for the entire hostel. Wouldn't recommend.

Worst experience of my trip, do NOT stay here. I arrived and there was no receptionist. Was given a key in an envelope, but was pointless, rooms were never locked. I was greeted by cockroaches and immediately felt unsafe. The kitchen was also filthy on the floor along with dead cockroaches. When walking around there were several red stains on the floors which looked like blood. The bed linen was damp/smelled. I checked out immediately and the staff failed to respond and continue to ignore me.

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed at during my entire east coast trip. The room smelled like mold, had trash in most corners, had mud and dirt everywhere, weird stains on the hardwood floors, and was full of cockroaches. I planned to stay for three nights but left after one night because of the uncleanliness and the cockroaches I saw in my room. The staff was surprised when I complained and agreed that it was not acceptable.

This was the worst hostel me and my friend have ever stayed in. The room was extremely dirty and disgusting. The room has not been cleaned for several weeks or months. There was mold everywhere on the floor and that’s why the room smelled very bad. Also, we saw a lot of cockroaches.

I booked a "Deluxe" dormitory for three nights. I came to a room where the light was broken, the AC smelled terribly and my bed sheet was dirty. I ask myself where that should be please "Deluxe". I moved to Jackaroo after one night (best Decision ever). Better not book here!

not really sure why this hostel has such high review score. according to jostel world check in is from 11 am but they close the reception from 11.30 so after that i had to wait for houra until 4pm to get checked in. kitchen was dirty. bed felt not clean and i had something crawling and biting me all night (not bed bugs but something that left large bites) the only plus was the tv with streaming services but you could not really use it because wifi did not work.

I have been in many hostels up the east coast and unfortunately this has got to be the worst one I have stayed in. The cleanliness and rooms were acceptable, the kitchen was quite clean too. However, the staff there were the most unfriendly staff Ive come across. On arrival to the hostel all the staff are sat around, they do not greet or speak to you,like previous reviews, it feels as if you have invaded their space. AVOID if you want to make friends.

Shuttle is not free like advertised here. Check in only possible after 4pm when most people arrive with the greyhound bus at 1pm. Booked too much money of my credit card and refuse to help me get my refund. Everything is not clean. Everything smells weird (toilets like pee, the rooms like mold and the common area rotten). Only nice thing is the beach close by. Not much to do in Mission Beach. I would only go there if you do skydiving or rafting but maybe go with jackaroo hostel instead.

Reception is only open for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. If you arrive outside of reception hours you cannot check in to your room and have no lockers to store your luggage. When you are finally able to check in to your room it is extremely outdated with various markings over the wall. My bed in particular had bodily fluid stained sheets. The Mission Beach area is not worth a visit unless you are wishing to skydive.

Decent little hostel, quite unclean and a lot of long termers. Quite noisy at night, people in the kitchen playing music and talking until 5am !

Ein wirklich tolles Hostel! Alternativ, die Leute haben Lust sich zu connecten und der Manager Nick ist mega hilfsbereit! Vielen Dank, ich komme gerne wieder!!!

Die Unterkunft war super! :) Unser Bus hatte an unserem Anreisetag eine extreme Verspätung und Nick (Staff) hat uns von der Busstation netterweise abgeholt, er hat uns auch am Abreisetag wieder zur Busstation gebracht, das war super lieb! Da es nur geregnet hatte blieb uns nichts anderes übriges als im Hostel zubleiben, wir hatten trotzdessen eine schöne Zeit dort! Auch nochmal ein großes Danke an Nick für deine Hilfsbereitschaft! :)

Pretty dirty, no manager, only working holiday people.

It was a really cozy hostel stay, I enjoyed it a lot. The beach is not far and it felt like home in the hostel. Because it is a smaller hostel it feels like a family. Just ignore the bad reviews, they scared me too at first but it was fine. Yes, there are no lockers but you feel safe anyways.

The hostel was dirty, there was a bug on my bed, a dead fly on the floor. Other than this it was ok and location is perfect.

Great location, nice pool and friendly staff. Quite a few long termers but all they were all very friendly and welcoming.

Stayed for one night. This was a lovely little hostel. Far from a grocery store (woolies is an hour walk) but otherwise right on the beach and restaurants right outside. Everyone was friendly and social.

I don't like leaving bad comments but it's impossible to do otherwise, the hostel was dirty, I also found three cockroaches in the room as soon as I arrived, absolutely anyone can enter the hostel at night and the two nights I stayed the hostel was a real nightclub and that until late hours despite the rules asking to minimize noise from 10:30 p.m.

Pros: - Good, central location - Super friendly staff who managed to check us in 3 hours early - thank you! :) Cons: - Lots of long termers here meaning that the hostel wasn’t very sociable. - The whole hostel was quite dirty - especially the kitchen sinks, bedroom walls and plugs. The room also had a strange smell.

We had truly an amazing time. Very chill vibes. Everyone is super friendly and warm. Can highly recommend it for long and short stay.

Has a lot of potential in being a cute hostel but unfortunately is dirty and has a lot of bugs flying around. Has mainly long stay so not the most welcoming or social atmosphere. Not many other hostels around so it’s okay for one night if wanting a rest from travelling. Staff was friendly but late checking in time (reception doesn’t open till 4 pm)

A rather hippie hostel. The room has old sheets and the reception staff isn't usually there. There's no atmosphere, but I think the location is good.
