Great community, 10/10, would recommend.

Les propriétaires sont vraiment a l’image du nom de l’hostel. Attentionnés, accueillants, chaleureux et ils parlent beaucoup de langues donc on peut discuter aisément avec eux. L’hôtel est entretenu, propre, dynamique et à un réel charme. C’est un des meilleurs hostel que j’ai fait !! Merci beaucoup 😍

A wonderful hostel with very nice hosts and a good vibe! They serve breakfast every morning and offer (amaazing!) familydinners. There is also a nice co-workingspace, if you need it. I can really recommend this hostel!

The best Hostel I have stayed at. Stefan and Pedro have put so much care and thought into making the Hostel a comftorable and welcoming environment. They have a lot of love to give, and really make you feel welcomed, (and the pancakes in the morning were fantastic!) I will certainly be returning to Loving Strangers.

10/10. Starting with Stefan and Sophie, the most beautiful hosts ever. They will do all they can to make you feel comfortable and promote socialization without forcing it. The family dinner they prepare every other day or so is when it becomes more evident. It’s all prepared with local fresh ingredients and, above all, with lots of love. Just delicious. The breakfast is also great. And yeah, there are other stuff as well, like beds :p Great facilities, all very comfy and clean. Just perfect.

Loved it really; very unique place and people! Thank you for everything. Hope to return one day!

I had a great stay at Loving strangers hostel. The personnel is so nice and friendly. I took 1 bed for 4 nights in a shared room and it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is really tasty and various. Mood was so good and I recommend this hostel if you want to spend a good time in Pico Madalena and create connection with other foreigners ( especially if you are a solo traveler).

Super goed en fijn hostel. Netjes geregeld en super fijne sfeer. De service van het ontbijt is fantastisch. Potentieel verbeterpunt: een extra wc separate van de douche .

My stay on Pico was so incredibly beautiful, thank you Stefan and Sophie. I felt at home from the second I arrived and you really go out of your way to make everyone feel integrated and comfortable. The family dinners were absolute highlights and my stay there was one of the best times of my trip to the Azores.

Amazing hosts who create a warm environment. The hostel is also very very spacious!!! It is a little bit out of the city centre but the walk is less than 10 minutes (small town) and I think that is actually a positive because it allows the property to have more space.

Absolutely loving Hostel. Stefan and Sophie are adorable and so so nice. We felt so welcomed from the beginning til end. Our highlight of our stay were the family dinners where we all came together and celebrated our time together. For you I'd always come back to Pico 🩷 Much of love! Viki and Inga🫶🏻🌴🇩🇪

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Stefan and Sophie have created something incredible here. I was with them for five nights and loved every minute. I’m very sad to be leaving but I’ll definitely be back at some point. Henry x
