Hostel Rango Boutique

There was a girl who had bedbug bites from her previous hostel, very likely bringing them with her to Rango in my dorm. The reception did nothing to help, so I had to find a last minute hostel alternative.

I just found the beds and pillows very uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well any of the four nights I was there. To their credit the staff were great and did everything they could to make things right. They couldn't have done a better job. The location, cleanliness and vibe were all excellent. But since being able to sleep is pretty important for a hostel, I can't give this place a perfect review.

Arrived at the hostel to be told that it was overbooked and that despite me having booked and paid for a it I didn’t have a bed there. They did walk me to another hostel nearby to check me in but I had to pay the same price for somewhere that had nowhere near the same facilities. Disappointed.

Es bastante caro para un hostel de este tipo. La ubicación es buena. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas y apenas hay espacio para dejar nada.

Es war super laut (Musik) und mein stickiger Dorm hatte kein Fenster, was für mich überhaupt nicht geht.

Not a social hostel and overpriced

Die Lage der Unterkunft in El poblado ist sehr gut. Das Hostel hat eine schöne Rooftop mit einem kleinen Pool. Der Vibe im Hostel war jedoch nicht gross vorhanden. Wir hatten an einem Abend zudem gar kein Wasser. Nach unserem Check-Out hat man uns am Abend fast aus dem Hostel vertrieben, weil man uns beschuldigen wollte, dass wir Illegal noch eine Nacht hier bleiben wollen, obwohl wir einfach nur unser Gepäck deponiert haben…

Loads of bed bugs. I was bitten over 100 times. Also, staff in coffee dint speak a word of English and leave you sat at table. You have to shout at them to get service. Overall I would not recommend this hostel. Pool area has no bar and is dead.

The staff got a little loud on the 4th floor. I was up late and I could not sleep in. They were literally yelling at each other outside my door. I had to get up and tell them to be quiet. I’ve never had to do that before. I normally sleep fine but they were unreasonably loud. The laundry room is on the 4th floor so they all like to congregate there. I woke up later to them telling me it's check out time I must leave. I got charged a late check out fee. I'm probably never going back.

great hostel

Came here for 3 days ended up staying a week. Perfect location with rooftop terrace/pool, bar, and a bakery / lunch place directly underneath. Staff super helpful couldn’t have helped more. Easy to socialise and meet people too!

Honestly can't say enough good things about Rango! Such a great mix of clean and comfortable and nice place to stay while also being fun and social. Truly one of my favorite hostels I've stayed at.

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming ! The rooftop area is awesome. Stayed in both a private and a dorm both were great. Would def stay again my next time around in Medellin! Also airport transport organization is a huge plus.

In my haste on a busy day I misplaced my headphones after relentless searching one of the staff members found one of my expensive EarPods. The other? Fell onto the roof next door, fell out of my window!. Maintenance was on it and recovered both! Amazing staff and service would rate 11 if I could saved a huge headache not having my music!

I absolutely loved staying in Rango! It is super clean! I had a great room, the pool is perfect. I loved just going up to the pool and chilling there. The events were also really nice. Most importantly the staff was super helpful and friendly, both Santi’s are great!

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hostel.

Great stay. Rooms were clean and property has a lovely view. Could be doing with some more communal bathrooms/showers. All staff were lovely

De los mejores hostales, la gente fue amable, el lugar limpio y agradable y el ambiente se genera con los mismos huéspedes haciéndolo más bueno.

You can tell a lot about a place by the warmth and kindness of the people — and this place truly has that. It may be a bit more expensive than others around, but it’s absolutely worth it. Congratulations to the managers, owner, and the entire team. A beautiful hostel by the river, surrounded by greenery, with a great bakery, close to everything, and safe. Gracias Santiago :)

très bon hostel en terme de localisation et qualité des chambres. peut-être un peu bruyant, surtout les chambres ay rez-de-chaussée, des activités proposées mais peu de personnes y participent

Really nice place. One of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed at. But there's much competition for party hostels in Medellin that this one is a tad bit less social. Still can't wait to stay here again.

Honestly a great hostel! The free water, coffee, tea station was a big perk. Included towels for showering and swimming! The cafe downstairs was great The staff were very friendly and helpful The communal spaces were nice Would definitely stay again! Only area improvement is the water pressure in the showers but otherwise a fantastic hostel stay!

Really beautiful facilities and building. The dorm rooms are dark and cramped and smell. The rooftop is lovely and so is the pool. Not very social but you can easily go to the more social hostels like viajero or los patios in el poblado. The staff were super kind! And it smells like bread all day and night which is so lovely. The restaurant was super expensive though.
