Smugglers Cove Beach Resort

Nous avons eu une expérience extrêmement décevante avec cet hostel. À notre arrivée, on nous a fait payer presque trois fois le prix indiqué, malgré nos explications et la preuve du tarif réservé. Le personnel a refusé d’écouter, n’a montré aucune compréhension, et nous a littéralement imposé le nouveau prix. Depuis, nous essayons d’obtenir un remboursement, mais l’hostel nous fait galérer depuis des jours, demande des informations inutiles, et ne propose aucune solution...

Don’t recommend, not clean and the cleaner stole my phone charger. I saw the cleaner chill and lay on clean bed to rest between their cleaning. Also when I arrived they gave me a dirty bed. There is a way beter homestay / hostel fire doors down the street called The Ideal Bed & Breakfast.

Unacceptable behaviour from grossly incompetent staff. Double booked our bed spaces and consistently lied to cover it up. Facilities were completely inadequate for the number of guests and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Food was reasonable but service poor. Would not recommend staying here.

Overcrowded, unclean, and dismissive Dorms were overcrowded with limited showers. I woke up with bed bug bites and emailed clear pictures to the hostel. They responded by saying they “don’t get bedbugs” — not sure how they think they’re immune. No accountability, poor hygiene, overpriced food. Avoid if you value cleanliness or basic respect

Had bed bugs, awful hygiene in the hostel and smell was awful.

They changed my booking, without notice, from “overlooking the ocean” to an alley with no view. They took my full payment before I arrived.

I reserved a 4 bunk suite. They tried to put me in a mixed 32 bed dorm. After being argued with, they ended up putting me in a 14 bed female dorm- a man let people in and out- the door was not properly closed to lock all night. Not a pleasant experience.

Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr blieb, allerdings waren die Zimmer so schlimm verschimmelt. Habe noch nie so was schlimmes gesehen die komplette Decke war bedeckt von schwarzen schimmel und im Badezimmer kam der Schimmel aus allen Wänden raus. Ich hinterlasse nicht gerne schlechte Bewertungen, aber das Zimmer war der Albtraum, alle Sachen, die wir an hatten stinken komplett nach Schimmel. Keinem Zuzumuten!

Mold in the room and bathroom. I got "changed" to the same room but on the other side of the room devider. There was still mold... Staff is grumpy all the time. I felt very unwelcome but the smell of the mold was the most horrible.

Amazing, highly recommend!

I only booked to stay for the day. I was going to hang out on the beach and have a shower - but after looking in the shower I didn't bother and showered at the airport instead - it was filthy. You don't expect perfection in a hostel but this wasn't clean at all. Hair everywhere, discarded shampoo bottles, discarded toothbrushes - all sorts was just left everywhere. Bedding looked clean.

Private room had what I needed. Shuttle took about an hour since some guests on my flight didn’t show up so we had to wait. I suggest buying some water at the airport and then however much you need for the stay at the grocery down the street. Highly recommend booking the shuttle since it’s cheaper than a taxi. Nadi is more of a stopover to other islands or day trips from my experience. I noticed more hostel backpackers at the place next door.

Had a night here before and after being out in the Yasawa islands, it’s comfortable enough for a night and the dorms are part of the hotel complex on the beach so the bar/restaurant/pool area are right there which is very nice. Felt a bit cramped on my second night as other girls in the dorm basically chucked their stuff ontop of my bag and went right to bed (at 5pm) but that’s more about the people in the dorm rather than the hostel. Hope everyone is safe during the cyclone atm!

People moaning about this accomodation need to give their heads a wobble. It’s £6 a night compared to £60+ anywhere else for accomodation for the night. The 22 bed dorm is absolutely fine and the staff are amazing, highly recommended as s pit stop before heading off to the islands.

Good hostel in Nadi. On the water. The staff are friendly. Some more group activities could’ve been organized but group Kava night was nice. Not much going on in general in Nadi. Wouldn’t spend long. The islands are far better

More of a restaurant that has a few rooms full of bunks off the main restaurant area, okay for one night max, would only stay as a stop over

Very good hostel and clean , also for social and the price that’s a excellent place ! Maybe just busy whene one of the employers ask a lot of time for activity ! One time is okay but many time in a day is to much

The hostel is a large dingy room of bunk beds on ground floor of a hotel adjacent to the restaurant/bar. The staff ranged from friendly to indifferent and were aggressive at pushing taxis. The bunks were crammed together with barely enough room for one person to stand between. The lockers didn't work. The bunk ladders were metal tubing and hurt your feet. The dorm and shared bathroom were worn and not clean with damaged fixtures and broken toilet seats. The restaurant & bar on beach was nice.

A bit of a strange hostel. The people who cleaned the room were hanging out in the room I was sleeping in all day. They were even lying on the beds themselves and stayed there while I was in the room. Other than that, it’s a decent place, with a restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Fine place to stay for a night - wouldn’t recommend hanging out here long as there’s not much to do and the beach isn’t nice (better to go to outer islands) but Smugglers is cheap and convenient to stay en route. Would recommend the 34 bed room over the smaller rooms because the smaller ones don’t have any dividers between the beds so they actually feel less private

Great pit stop in Nandi. Staff was super super nice! The kokunda from the kitchen was excellent. Pretty outdoor ghost ship themed beach area. Clean dorms. Good value! Would stay again.

My stay here was fine but I certainly won’t be rushing back. The dorms are located quite literally 3 metres from the front desk and have effectively been made from partition walls in the lobby. You can hear the dorm next door as well as the kitchen and lobby. The beds are extremely close together. While staff are generally helpful, I observed the dorm cleaning on one occasion and it was incredibly brief. Blankets are not washed between guests. Ok if you are on a budget but bring head...

I had two very different experiences here. I stayed in a private room at the beginning of my trip and in a dorm toward the end. The private room was outstanding. The dorm was fine, but nothing particularly special.

Extremely loud location. The music outside was blaring most of the night. Our rooms door didn’t lock. Front desk did not really welcome us our provide any details other than the room key. Would not recommend.

This is okay for the price, but nothing special. If you are a women I would definitely stay in a female only dorm, as the mixed dorms were mainly old men, so lots of snoring and slightly weird vibes. Would stay here again but only cause it’s a cheap stop before flying off or going to the other islands.

Great vibe and very clean hostel. Loved the atmosphere and the people. Only downside is the weak WiFi. If you work online, you’ll need your own hotspot, but for general browsing it’s fine. Overall a solid stay!

You get what you pay for. But the staff is soo unfriendly and in really bad mood. All of them. In the morning it’s very very loud.

Paid £9 per night so good value, but female only dorm is very basic and beds are super close together. Room doesn’t get properly dark either.
