Public areas and the kitchen were closed for private events with no advance notice. Closures were only disclosed after arrival and during the stay. Communication was inconsistent and unresolved. Consider confirming shared space access before booking. Disappointing experience with the core hostel space and how they handle communication. Just a solid example of how they tried to earn money by renting out their space and ended up squeezing out the authenticity and value of hostel-style experience.

The location was nice and the rooms were nice and clean, but unfortunately the exit sign was so bright and in my face the whole night and there were no curtains on the upper bunk so it was incredibly difficult to sleep. The beds were also very hard and basically the same material as gym mats, so quite uncomfortable which is a shame because I paid more for what I thought was a nicer hostel so that I would be able to get a good night’s sleep.

Wouldn’t recommend if you want to get a good nights sleep. The beds are too squeaky. They make a noice every time someone moves. Also they only have a microwave. Another minus is the loud music they blast in the “kitchen”, even if you just want a quiet dinner at the hostel. Ok, I got completely robbed here. I was taking a nap, and another person in the room went into my bunk, while I was sleeping, and stole everything from my purse, which was literally under my head. I immediately went to the front desk about it, and all they said was 'Maybe ask everyone in the room if they would just give you your passport back' since they KNEW the person was still staying there. este hostel es demasiado caro para lo que da. es lindo, limpio nada que decir pero... cuando llegue no me mostraron nada!!! no supe si habia cocina o como funcionaba nada, no incluye toalla y sale 5€ una, no ikclute desayuno, no tenia secador de pelo las camas muy incomodas. no lo recomiendo para nada. lo único bueno para mi, es que era fresco.

The place is great, BUT bed sheets roll over poleaster-covered mattress. This resulted in me sleeping on bear mattress for 2 nights. The hostel is more expensive than other places, but actual sleeping there was uncomfortable. Bring fitted sheets at least.

Such a great location! It’s within walking distance (or a short ride on public transit) to all of the must-see spots in Rome. The vibe is very lively but there are also lots of spaces for quiet time along with laundry on-site. It could be cleaner in the bathrooms and the beds (mold in the shower and I found a pair of old socks next to my mattress) but all in all I would still recommend this hostel all things considered.

Uncomfortable beds, the bathrooms have sensor-activated lights, and the staff is unfriendly — you don’t even feel like asking them anything.

Perfecto para viajar sola. El personal super atento, las instalaciones un 10. En mi caso estuve en una habitación con 5 chicas mas y no hubo ningún problema.

Good hostel, decently priced and amazing location! Staff are friendly and helpful, the vibe of the hostel was super cool too! The only reason i give it a 4* and not a 5* is because the walls are very thin and the beds are super squeeky because of the mattress material. So if you are a light sleeper like me, the sound of the squeeky mattress not just from your room but also the neighbouring room is quite clearly heard. But if thats not a concern, I would definitely recommend

The JOEJOE Hostel is a good place, clean, close to tourist attractions, and well located. The staff are welcoming and attentive. I really liked it.

Excellent hostel! Very comfortable dorms, spaceous and with sufficient privacy. My only complaint would be the weird shower setups. The breakfast was exceptionally good. I wasn't very successful at socialising in the hostel for some reason, despite the nice common spaces that were available. Also one night the entire area was overtaken by a bridge club or whatever. But I had an excellent stay, loved it.

Super friendly staff & great location. Clean and good amenities. I was only there for a short stay, but it had a good feel - dorms were comfy and well sized.

perfect location. The main sights are almost all in walkable distance (10-30 minutes). The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 6 bes dorm. decent size, enough space for everyone.

Great price and location. Would definitely go back. There wasn't a huge social aspect though but that was probably because it was a monday/tuesday.

JO & JOE was amazing!! Absolutely unbeatable location which is somehow close to everything. It was perfect for me and my boyfriend as we were only able to stay in Rome for a weekend. Also felt super safe and the all of the staff was incredible. I would absolutely recommend!!

Good spot, great staff! easily walkable to all the main attractions. Security at main door 24/7. Cleaned daily! Only qualm is maybe the restaurant was a little expensive/didn’t have large quantities. Lots of options around there to explore for food.

This has to be one of the best hostels I have stayed at. Location was superb, rooms were clean and spacious and the beds offer good privacy. The best thing was the staff! Super social and helpful. The only thing that would’ve made this place an unbeatable hostel would be to have better bedsheets. The current bedsheets are a pain to sleep on as they move around and leave you sleeping on the plastic mattresses. A fitted sheet would’ve been better.

The location was incredible near the Coliseum and the fountain (15-20 min by walk). It’s really well-connected and the area is nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are pretty big and comfortable. I only suggest cleaning the bathrooms more frequently. If I hadn’t had issues with the cleanliness, I would give the hostel a 10/10, but in this case, it’s a 9/10. Thanks for the friendly staff!!!
