Rooms very small and dark with no windows or ventilation, tiny beds. The pictures dont tell the story well. I did not end up staying based on this and they said they would have to charge me for the first day and I agreed. They ended up charging me for the whole stay and now I am having to attempt to get my money back. The cancellation policy clearly states that a late cancellation or no show will cause the first night to be charged - not the whole stay.

Beautiful old building, in a state of charming decay, in an excellent location. There’s a house dog and a house duck. Our private room with private bath was clean and really simple. Filtered water much appreciated. Gripes: the place occasionally felt dirty, especially the kitchen. And mosquitos were in our room because the windows didn’t fully seal.

Nice and quiet place with very friendly staff. Only downsides are that the lockers on the bathroom doors in the basements are not all working, and the sheets could be cleaned better as hairs and stains were found on 2 different beds. The family that runs it is very friendly and helpful though.

la atención es buena, sólo que hace falta un poco más de higiene, ya que las toallas no las cambian diario, aparte yo ya he pagado la totalidad de la cuenta y sigo apareciendo en la aplicación con adeudo, me comentaron que arreglarían eso y sigue igual 😠

Nice and quiet and in a great location. Most places you would want to visit are less than a 20 minute walk. The staff are amazing and great to talk to. It’s a little dingy and spartan but that’s not a big deal.

Great hostel layout, very calm environment and location. The workers were very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a chill place to stay in Guadalajara.🤙

I extended 3 days because I liked this hostel a lot! It’s clean, people are very welcoming, they have a very nice working area with good wifi, also it’s quiet and the mattresses are comfortable. Furthermore it’s in a nice neighborhood and 2 minutes walking distance from a wonderful little organic shop, I can highly recommend

We loved our stay at Chingon! Beautiful private room, comfortable building, multiple terraces and outdoor spaces. Our Spanish es muy simple, but our host Johana communicated well, even with our slight language barrier (WhatsApp helped). Two dogs and a duck live here! They were so sweet. We wish we could spend more time here, exploring Guadalajara. We will be back!

Absolutely loved this hostel - it felt the most like a home of anywhere I’ve travelled. The staff and other residents were so friendly and warm, the location is great, the bedroom comfortable and there is a bonus dog and a duck! Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and staff. Close to great food, parks, museums, shopping and a great place to take off on foot or via transit. Staff is very nice, responsive, and provides awesome recommendations for GDL and beyond. We loved being greeted by Donald, their duck, and seeing the smiles he brings the neighborhood. Definitely will be back!

Sehr gut gelegen, schöne privat Zimmer mit viel Platz und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Alle supi Nur nicht sonderlich sozial. Wer Party oder community Bereiche sucht, schaut liebe weiter:)

Es un espacio muy amigable y tranquilo, además de que es súper céntrico. Perfecto para estancias de trabajo o de vacaciones, por su ideal ubicación y ambiente. Los anfitriones son muy amables y accesibles.

Staff and guests were very nice. The hostel is well located - I did most of my tourism on foot. I would definitely come back.
