Wonderful place! Lovely people. Great opportunity’s and activities. Location is convenient to anyone trying to get to the main town of guatape. Lovely local restaurants and bars with a beautiful town to explore.

Ideal for one or two nights to explore nearby Guatape

Nice staff and location in the middle of nature. But we were kinda disappointed by our room. We booked a private standard room. There was no window (at least not one that could be opened and has a view, only one facing the stairs that we couldn‘t manage to open). The bathroom is soo narrow that you couldn‘t sit normally on the toilet. The sink in the shower was broken and quickly fixed when we told the staff. I am sure there are nicer rooms in this hostel.

Would avoid. Although the location is cool and some of the staff were great, this was probably the worst hostel experience I had in Colombia. I was in the 8 bed room and it was impossible to sleep every night. Music and sound were supposed to be off at 11 but every night it was insanely loud. listening to one staff member loudly complain about not being able to get laid over super loud music at 1 am sucked. Better spots in Guatape, should have left early. Spot is also a very long walk.

Lots of French hippies had to socialise if you don’t speak French 😂

Place was ok but very noisy. And not just a bit annoying - music, shouting and singing until past 3am and then people chatting loudly at 6am Not much going on at the hostel as a way of meeting travellers. I saw reviews saying that you need to be a French hippie to enjoy staying here and I felt that. Probably good if you’re staying for a long while but not if you’re passing through for a few days

If you’re a french hippie this is your spot. Jokes aside; the area is beautiful, the common areas & kitchen are very nice, the dorms not so much. (Stuffy, small, dark). Staff were not particularly helpful a lot of the time. It’s a bit out of town so expect to walk 30mins or tuktuk. The private room I saw looked really nice though

Nice and quiet place to stay outside the city. Nice and large building and very helpfull and friendly staff. Not the most social hostel in our time experience but maybe just bad luck. Room was clean but the beds weren’t nice.

Casa Kayam was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! The atmosphere is simply magical, especially if you are interested in creating art of any kind. After spending a few days in the buzzing city life of Medellín, staying here was just perfect — it almost felt like a retreat. There are different activities every day, such as art classes, jam sessions, campfires, hikes, and yoga classes. Special thanks to the volunteers at Casa Kayam — it was an absolute pleasure!

If I could give 20 stars, I would. This place is truly special and full of heart. Surrounded by beautiful nature and only a short walk from Guatapé, it’s the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and incredibly welcoming. The rooms are clean and beautiful, the people are wonderful, and the workshops and activities are created with so much love and care. I could have easily stayed for weeks. A magical place and perfect base to explore the area.

I had such an amazing experience from start to finish at Casa Kayam. The staff was all friendly, genuine, and caring. I was given a thorough tour of the amazing facilities to start. The activities they offer are so fun, including daily yoga, music production and DJ classes, a jam session, an art studio, and more. The buildings are covered in beautiful art, and the kitchen is well stocked so bring groceries. They also attract really open minded people that want to grow their creative abilities!

Loved my stay! It's very much a vibes kind of place - open, mostly outdoor, and social without feeling forced. There’s always something going on - art room, recording studio, morning movement/yoga, & big jam sessions every 2 weeks (worth timing your stay for) - makes it really easy to meet people. The kitchen is great, dorms are tight but comfortable, and the staff are genuinely wonderful. Not polished but if you want a laid back, creative, social atmosphere, it really delivers!

Wir hatten als Gruppe mit einem Kind eine sehr schöne Zeit dort. Danke, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Don’t have much to complain about because I only stayed there for 1 night, but based on my impression, there had very friendly staff, the vibe there was good, the wifi was reliable, and the bathrooms were clean with is telling for overall hygen. The location is close but not that close to the good visiting spots like the mountain and colourful street. It’s overall great

This is a place, where creativity flows. You have to check this it out, if you love nature, community and sharing.

Super nette Atmosphäre. Statt 2 Nächten bin ich 5 geblieben und hätte gerne noch mehr Zeit dort verbracht.

Super hostel, plusieurs ateliers proposés permettant de faire du lien avec les voyageurs et les volontaires. Je recommande 💯

Super sympathischer Ort. Die Matratzen sind leider sehr durch gelegen. Alles andere hat mir sehr gut gefallen, die Atmosphäre, die gemeinschafts Orte, die Jam Session am Abend :) und man kann von dort in ca einer Stunde zu einem Wasserfall spazieren, sehr empfehlenswert wenn man ein bisschen Ruhe und Natur sucht.

Super schönes Hostel! Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Aussicht von Glamping Zelt war ausgezeichnet. Nächstes mal bleibe ich länger!

Beste hostel om te verblijven om even tot rust te komen.
