Das Zimmer hat sehr Muffig gerochen und hatte Schimmel. Dazu kamen Bettwanzen am letzten Tag. Habe auch keine Entschädigung dafür bekommen. musste für über 40 euro alles waschen lassen und hatte so viele Bisse

Toiletten und Duschen sind dreckig, Zimmerkarten funktionieren nicht immer, die ganze Anlage ist eine Baustelle und daher laut. Duschen gibt es nur kalt (was bei dem Wetter kein Problem ist), aber auf einmal kam nur brühend heißes Wasser raus, man konnte nicht duschen. Klimaanlage tropft, Frühstück ist mehr als dürftig.

Das Zimmer riecht etwas nach Schimmel. Leider war auch aktuell eine Baustelle direkt am Zimmer. Lärm und Geruch sind durchs Badezimmerfenster gekommen. Die „schränke“ für Gepäck waren nicht brauchbar, daher wenig Platz.

Do not stay in December. The hostel is having renovations so is under construction on the roof. It is noisy all day. The ceiling was crumbling and water was leaking on us outside the room. There is a very small common area because of this, and not much shelter from the weather. The construction also isn’t safe, with no regard for guests. There was often screws or debris falling from the roof onto the pool area. Cold breakfast every day. Rooms were not clean.

Very disappointed Not worth the hype or money. Bad breakfast, not social at all, outdoor bathrooms are disgusting (private rooms en-suite bathrooms have no ceilings so have to use the bathroom in the rain and they get so dirty with things falling from the trees), WiFi didn’t work and was promised yoga on the booking but was cancelled every day. Location is good but id rather have a longer walk/bike and stay somewhere else!

one of the worst hostels I stayed in. Because of a storm there were no electricity for two days which it’s not their fault but they had no generator or light or anything like the other hostels plus no running water…? then the hostel is between two mosques that start their praying amazingly loud which you could hear at 5am in your room. Then they painted my room during my stay? There were no window in the room and the smell was so bad that I had to sleep with the door open.. Also not cle...

I paid 25 for a night in a hostel.. and the rooms where very dirty..

Badly cleaned with used snus on the nightstand, a used razor by the sink and mold on the toilet. The beds were very comfortable BUT there were bedbugs. Staff seamed a bit unserious. Might be a good place if you want to party but not for comfort

Sinceramente non capisco come abbia un punteggio così alto. Il prezzo è molto alto rispetto alla media degli alloggi in zona e non giustificato dal fatto che la struttura non è ben mantenuta e mediamente sporca. Lo staff piuttosto distratto (si sono dimenticati di darci gli asciugamani, le chiavi del locker, durante gli eventi non c'è nessuno in reception). Inoltre, non penso che mantenga la promessa di essere un ostello "chill", sostanzialmente un party hostel come altri

Amazing and funny staff, perfect room and really nice place with a small but nice pool and chilling area. We stayed in the deluxe twin private for amazing value. Really nice chill place to stay but also right in the middle of everything for when you want to party!

had such a great time while I was here! The breakfast in the mornings is great, the pool is always clean as well as the whole hostel. Hannah, Caleb, Serena, and Mateo make you feel welcome and always making sure you're having fun. would stay again for sure!!!

literally the best hostel i’ve stayed at, extended multiple times because the vibe of the hostel is honestly so good, rooms are so clean and everyone so friendly, such a great spot for solo travelers! yoga with hannah was so refreshing after a great social night the day before, such fun tours also like the snorkeling and boat party. also the hostel cats are too cute! big love to serena, hannah, caleb and mateo, best reps :)

Can 100% recommend this hostel - and I have been to quite a few. Perfect for solo travellers, you will meet loads of people. If you like to party a bit, even better. But eitherway you gonna have a good time, as after 10pm its quite if you don't wanna go out. The staff is suuuuper nice and you will feel welcome right away. Same goes for the reps! Special thanks to: Wara, Herman, Caleb, Hannah and Leah - you made my stay even better

Alvis is honestly the best! Super friendly, always helpful, and makes everyone feel welcome right away. He goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and fun. Such a great vibe around him— Tipsea turtle needs more people like Alvis. Love this guy! Came back only because of him

Absolutely love it here, had to extend and a shame that I had to leave, very refreshing to have morning yoga with Hannah and during the day Caleb was there to speak to about what to do on the island. There was plenty of opportunity to party aswell but it didn’t feel like it was constantly forced by the night staff matao and serena, if I ever come back I’ll be staying here

Absolutely love Tipsea, such great vibes and so clean! Serena, Hannah and Caleb were all so much fun and the cocktails were banging!!

Ik zou tipsea turtle absoluut aanraden. Het hostel is heel chill en heb er de 5 dagen dat ik er was het zo leuk en gezellig gehad. Het personeel is geweldig. Van de Indonesiërs tot aan de vrijwilligers zoals Serena, Caleb, Hannah and Mateo. Ze zijn heel gastvrij gezellig en behulpzaam.

Hostel was excellent, was really nice to be able to start the day with yoga with our lovely instructor hannah, through the day if I needed to know anything about the island there was always a rep I could ask like Caleb and if he didn’t know the answer he would find the answer, but also at the same time there was ample of time to party with people and Serena and matao to carry us through the night

I had what i d call the best week of my life at Tipsea Turtle Gillie T. Thank you to all the reps Caleb, Hanna, Serena, Mataeo for bringing the vibes and creating such a welcoming atmosphere!

Had a really relaxing time here, was a social hostel and chance to party but also didn’t feel forced upon you. Caleb, Hannah, Oliva, Serena, did a really good job making us feel welcome and it’s very unfortunate to be leaving

Great property with a fun, social vibe, yet still easy to get an early night after diving. Staff are friendly, though some could use more training. Reception was disorganised—I extended my stay three times but it wasn’t logged. I was also placed in a mixed dorm despite booking female-only, only noticed when a man moved in. Later, my room was double-booked and my belongings were left on the floor, with someone else in my bed.

Had an amazing time at Tipsea Turtle thanks to Alvis. He’s such a kind, genuine, and fun person who made me feel welcome from the start. We quickly built a great connection, and hanging out with him was a highlight of my stay. When I messed up my toe, he went out of his way to help me get to the ferry, which meant a lot. Absolute legend and a big reason I’d come back! He really is my Digga 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Best Hostel on Gili T!! With Alvis who does the best espresso martinis and Maxwell who is the best party maker we all enjoyed our time!
