Lo staff non è molto simpatico tipo la Signora di colore che si occupa della pulizia della hall , dei bagni e della cucina dei clienti è molto opprimente e non lascia spazio ai clienti di cucinare e continuamente richiama i clienti per qualche cosa; poi i due ragazzi alla reception non sono molto disponibili a risolvere le richieste dei clienti....l' unica receptionist simpatica e brava è la ragazza piccolina asiatica che è molto professionale e sorridente.

This hostel cancelled our booking with less than 24 hours notice / by email- and didn’t help at all in finding replacement accommodation for my family. I ended up paying double to stay in Amsterdam and have as yet had no offer of compensation. Would not recommend.

Very unclean. Very disappointing at the pricepoint.

Ostello molto fornito,come cucina, sala giochi e erogatore di acqua per riempire le borracce. Peccato per le stanze piccole, per niente adatte a una camerata da sei persone, anche se c'è il.bagno in camera.

Hotel meninger non rispecchia il concetto di ostello: le camere sono normali camere d'hotel quindi non ci sono armadietti, solo un water e non c'è uno spazio dove appoggiare lo zaino o le proprie cose. Nonostante avessi prenotato una camera mista per stare con i miei 2 amici sono stata messa in una camera femminile da sola. Inoltre tutto in questo hotel è a pagamento, anche gli armadietti, ma soprattutto la colazione che costa come un pranzo (12€). Di gratis c'è solo la cucina.

We booked a room for 6 people, and we found ourselves in a room of 7. With 6 beds. And the extra-guest and his boyfriend thought it was completely fine to f*** in their bed, also during the day. Reception refused to help: in fact, they literally kicked us out of the hostel when we reported the situation to the staff, because they obviously weren’t feeling like fixing the problem. I definetely wouldn’t recommend this horror of a place to anyone.

The staff were really rude and behave like they own the place and they make their own rules. I arrived a bit early and the staff refused to let me in early which makes sense but they were creating a scene about staying in the lobby. Like checkin at 3 pm and checkout at 11am doesn’t already makes sense but let people sit in the lobby for a while who travel 10000 miles and reach there. I myself came there after a 13 hour flight!

Una noche horrible. Primero, me asignaron una habitación mixta cuando era una femenina. Me estaba cambiando e ingresaron dos hombres! Segundo, me cambiaron a una habitación SIN AIRE ACONDICIONADO! tuve que dormir con la puerta abierta porque las ventanas estaban selladas y no me podían cambiar de habitación porque estaban todas ocupadas. Solo resalto el personal amable y la cocina. Pero en general estar cambiando de habitación y esa noche infernal no la quiero repetir nunca más

Our stay was bad for many reasons, the main one explained here. At the check-in they charged us more than double what we had seen in the website when we booked our stay. We asked for an explanation, they told us that in spring the prices rise because of local festivities. And when we asked why they didn’t let us know in advance, they dismissed us by saying that since we booked in hostelworld and not directly with them, there was nothing they could do. Afterwards they failed to provide solution...

booked an all female dorm and ended up placed in a room with a man. staff changed us to the proper room no problem, but the fact a mix up like that happened is a bit absurd to me. convenient location near amstel station. kitchen is a bit small considering the amount of people staying there, so it felt claustrophobic and overwhelming at times. however, i would stay again if i were to return to amsterdam.

super clean, lots of natural light, comfy beds. despite looking far from the centre of town on the map is only takes 10 minutes on the metro and the station is a minute walk away and there’s a huge supermarket directly across the road. met some lovely people here and would recommend!

Les espaces communs vraiment trop petits La cuisine n'était pas bien agencée et ses équipements très insuffisants (saladiers, casseroles, rape...) donc difficile de se faire cuisine. Même pour réchauffer pas assez de micro ondes. Le chauffage dans les chambres froid et la ventilation bruyante.

I stayed at a 4-bed female dorm and had a very good experience. The room is very clean, with air ventilation, and big ensuite bathroom. Towels were changed every day so it felt like being in a hotel. Each bed came with a socket so very convenient for phone charging. The only little drawback is the size of the room, which felt small for 4 people, but it wasn't a big problem given the rest.

loved it here would definitely come back to this hostel! the people were very nice and the location was perfect for transportation

It's a good place to be with familyandfriends and accessible location with public transport, also staff are very helpful.

Great location for transport & ADE - pleasant stay. Easy to sleep in the female dorm. Kitchen was fine

Everything was good, this hostel is next to metro and has security 24/7. Very nice!

Had a great stay

This was my very first experience booking a shared dorm, and I honestly couldn’t have started with a better one than at MEININGER. The facilities made me feel at home, the room and bathroom were clean and organized, and the location is excellent. The staff are very friendly and the whole hotel has great vibes. Shane was awesome! His professionalism, kindness, willingness to help with anything I needed really made my stay even more enjoyable Thanks to him, my first hostel experience was pleasan...

Great place. Super clean and nice staff.

Overall lovely stay, however one small kitchen for the whole place which was crammed at certain times. The room wasn’t overly clean with hair all over the bathroom. Staff were lovely, but far from amsterdam centre.

Buena ubicación y atención excelente del personal

Auberge située dans le quartier d'Amstel, tout près de la gare d’Amstel et du métro, ce qui est super pour aller dans le centre d’Amsterdam. Bon accueil de la part du personnel. Attention il faut payer une "city tax" en plus de votre chambre (13,42€ pour 2). La chambre que nous avions réservé (dortoir de femmes à 4) était propre. Globalement notre séjour fut positif ! Seul bémol, une odeur affreuse d’égout dans la salle de bain de notre dortoir.

It was a great 4 bed female dorm. Nice big and clean ensuite, comfy bed and very comfy. It's easy to get to the museums, river front and arenas. My top tip is bring a padlock if you want to secure your items or bring valuables with you. There's a nice supermarket opposite and it's a sociable places to stay.
