Belfast International Youth Hostel

There was nothing international about this hostel. I have been to many hostel to stay but staying here was not pleasant.

Für 2 Nächte in Ordnung. Länger wären wir nicht geblieben. Das Zimmer ist ganz ok. Aber es wahr SOOO kalt. Wir hatten kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen und generell war es einfach sehr sehr kalt im ganzen Hostel. Im Badezimmer kann man gleichzeitig Duschen und aufs Klo gehen, keine Abtrennung. Also wurde der GANZE Badezimmer Boden, inklusive Toilette nass! Außerdem schimmelt die Badezimmer Türe. Generell ist das Zimmer nicht liebevoll eingerichtet. When I got to Belfast International Youth Hostel, no one opened the door for me and there was no one available for check-in. The hostel was totally empty with no staff present at all.

The worst place to stay in the world. Pathetic

spent 10min and left. heating starting automatically 10pm. beds are very very small. the private 2 single beds felt like a prison. not recommended even if it's the cheapest around.

Facilities were not up to a standard in which the price entails.

Worst experience ever. No towels are provided. They turn on heaters just may be 3 hrs a day, you may die with the cold, if you ask the staff about it, they will simply say that they don’t know and CEO is handling it. Lights are not working and even toilet sinks as well. Bath room floor made up of concrete which gives you more cold, you cannot even step into the washroom when it’s cold. Laundry is not included but website shows it’s included.

I have made a complaint directly with the company... I have never, ever had a worse experience with accommodation. One of their staff members are unbelievably terrible. I am very happy to talk about this on the phone. +353876556525.

Women on the front desk were horridly rude. Can’t understate this. Rooms were not great. Toilets and showers dirty and smelled like urine. Like the comment below if I could give this a zero I would. The battery for the key card on the room died in the middle of night and I got locked in the hallway. No apology from the staff. Phil on the front desk on the last day was nice. The other women were so incredibly rude I was quite shocked

Great place to stay, friendly staff clean rooms, great value. We liked the Causeway Cafe attached to the hostel. I would highly recommend this place for the value. People are very helpful 🙂 Bryan

Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Security great, looking after our bicycles and bags. Rooms are on the smallsize. Overall brilliant!

Everything was just as described on the listing, so I didn't have very high expectations. I stayed for only one night so it was alright, but the bathrooms are quite bad. Nowhere to put your clothes while you shower, only the floor. The kitchen was alright but everybody left their dirty dishes in the sinks. The location is great, but the rooms fall short. The soundproofing is very weak, and our quadruple room had only two power outlets. Cleanliness was also an issue; the floor was dirty, and it seemed like the trash was only emptied once a week.

Some good points (generally clean - though not self catering kitchen, staff generally helpful, beds comfortable etc) but some points not good including poorly equipped self catering kitchen, lack of accessible hanger space in room, poor state of inside of bathroom door and some things which have got worse since previous visit less than 12 months before (loss of separate TV room, substantial increase in charge for en-suite room up by over 35% against November '25)

The hostel is ok. staff is very nice. is old but clean. the area doesn't feel 100% safe but once inside de door is fine. location close to Central Station. curtains would be nice to have in doorms, rhere is no hooks to hang stuf or enough oulets for charge you phone. they offer very convenient storage service. Staff is very nice.

Die Unterkunft war sauber und ordentlich und das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Es war toll, dass man. dort kostenlos parken konnte. Die Küche war leider sehr karg und viel war kaputt. Das Viertel um das Hostel herum war sehr herunter gekommen.

Good room. toilets were not. For the toilets at my room, it didn’t have a sink, the sink was in the room. No hand wash either. Showers were not clean either. Room was clean though! I just had to use the toilets further from my room because they were more convenient. Rating security as neutral as although i only stayed one night, when i was checking in, a customer was reporting stolen items - so not too sure about security. Staff were great! Ok stay for a weekend trip if ur not picky x

This hostel is okay apart from the bathroom and access card to the room was so bad every time it will disconnect the access and I was struck 2 times outside in the middle of the night.

It was a great experience. Very clean. Friendly environment and staff was really helpful.

The website stated there was bicycle storage but when we asked on arrival the receptionist seemed confused. Eventually she allowed us to store our bikes in the left luggage room and agreed she wouldn't need to charge us. The room was ok. Kitchen not very well equipped and dirty.

Good hostel!

NOT value for money, but value for location. Reasons: needs freshened up. Broken door stops in bathrooms can see the soap build up, leaking sinks are okay as in a wet room, but could be an easy fix. Doors not sealed so can see all the water damage to the door. Linen is clean, but been washed that often colours are very faded, so dates it. But WOULD stay again. As feel staff aware and working on it. Great location, great vibe, staff fantastic - knowledgeable of area/recommendations. Cafe good £.

Good value for money, basic accommodation, when your on a budget.

Overall a very pleasant experience, room was clean and staff were great. Toilets could do with a deep clean and a new coat of paint but were more than usable.

Tutto ottimo dalla pulizia alla cortesia dello staff, tra cui una ragazza parlava perfettamente italiano. Possibilità di fare un tour presso il selciato del gigante molto conveniente con agenzia difronte all’ostello.
