Hostal El Costeñito

This has been my worst experience in a hostel. Please be aware of this junk! First of all, there was no one to open the door for us. We came back later and a client opened the door for us, no employees whatsoever. The floor was flooded, walls full of humidity. The owner was trying to control everything from Canada! He wanted to charge us more than what we accorded. We literally escaped from the horrible hole. Please don't waste your time, moneyand energy here!!

HORRIBLE! Llegué al hostal (el cual no se siente en una zona segura de la ciudad y está alejado de todos los atractivos turísticos) y me dijeron que estaban completos a lo cual respondí que yo tenía una reserva pagada, no les importó y solo me dijeron que dejarían de usar Hostelworld porque sobrevendia cuartos según ellos! Se portaron verdaderamente groseros y no me dieron ninguna solución ni ayuda nisiquiera me dejaron pasar a la propiedad y me cerraron la puerta en mi nariz, NO RECOMI...

Desde que llegue el bano y la cocina muy sucio y dos dias sin agua muy mla experiencia

I really enjoyed my stay here. Over the Christmas festival so no one else was really staying here, felt like I had my own house in a different country ahah. Is about a 30-40 minute walk to town but there are plenty of taxis and busses that go around. Is a work in process but I am very excited to see what this place turns into in the future. Tadeo was super helpful and friendly. Would stay again during my next visit to Veracruz

The guy running the hostel was nice but it is still a working progress. The was no signage and the booking system didn’t work so I was only able to stay for one night rather than the 3 that I booked. I can see that it will be an ok option in a few months time after a few improvements are made. It’s definitely an ok option for anyone who is keen to visit Veracruz :)

Das Hostel war ausgebucht und mir hat keiner Bescheid gesagt. Bei Ankunft wurde mir zunächst jede Hilfe verweigert ein anderes Hostel zu finden, sodass ich mit meinem Gepäck auf der Straße saß. Außerdem gibt es hier weder eine richtige Rezeption, noch war jemand mit Verantwortung anzutreffen. Nachdem ich dann einige Hotels durchtelefoniert hatte und ein anderes Hotel fand, suchte ich nach einem weiteren Taxi und dann half mir tatsächlich der Hausbesitzer eines zu finden. Tadeo es muy amable para recibir a sus invitados, un lugar acogedor, cerca al centro historico, facir acceso a transporte publico, ambiente de tranquilidad y confianza con los demas huéspedes. recomendado 💯

This was a great hostel- although a bus was needed to get to the malecon, the bus stop was just at the end of the street. I would recommend this hostel for your stay in Veracruz!
