Gili Beach Bum

Im Zimmer hat es geschimmelt und es hat extrem danach gerochen. Als wir uns bei der Rezeption beschwert haben, wurden wir nicht ernst genommen. Außerdem kein sauberes Wasser.

I never thought someone could break in in a hostel and try to steal your bag while you're sleeping! It is just unbelievable and scary experience I had to endure The locker didn't work and the staff still made sure that room is booked up It was very scary in 1.30 am to hear someone grabbing your bag and the only thing u can think of is that am I gonna be okay ? The owner need to make sure the space is safe to sleep than try and make money out of a property Staff is polite though and welcoming

Prison cell rooms. Nothing like the photos. Please ask to see the rooms before you pay. I paid upfront for 2 nights saw the room and left immediately. They didn’t give me my money back because these people just want to take your money so there’s no point asking

didn’t enjoy my stay cupboards in our room were falling apart and overall cleanliness was poor (used plasters in our bathroom, mold on door handles etc) if you want a party every night stay here, the earliest it gets ‘quiet’ is midnight, however if u want to sleep don’t stay here. People working the desk are nice enough, pool table and ping pong available, overall just a very very mid place, there’s much nicer places to stay

Bathrooms smelt so so bad I couldn’t stay in there to brush my teeth. I don’t know how often they were cleaned but it was not enough. Breakfast was awful: jam and butter tasted like they had never been refrigerated, coffee was completely undrinkable and bread was frozen and super old.

I would NOT recommend this hostel, you can find much better for the same amount of money. - They make you pay for the breakfast beforehand. The breakfast was really bad, and all the food felt old and limited. At the same time the breakfast was never ready on time. - The pool was like a footpath and in the middle of a disgusting bar. - There was two other people beside us in the whole hostel, but somehow the cleaning was still not exciting, even though they promoted cleaning two times a day...

Music until midnight. Not enough staff at the front desk. More expensive for laundry and ferry tickets than other hostels.

Zimmer waren sehr spartanisch und dunkel, matratzen alt und laut… WLan hat nicht funktioniert… und man hat sich das Bad mit allen anderen Zimmern geteilt… Frühstück war auch sehr basic

Staff was rude and not helpful when the ferries were not running. They did not offer a refund.

We booked a private "deluxe room" for NYE as we thought the hostel would have a decent atmosphere. The location is good. However, the bar opposite blasts music there is no escape from basically all day. There is no hostel vibe at all, just the bar open to everyone that the hostel sits behind and the rooms were dirty, uncomfortable and full of mosquitos. The shower was cold and covered in ants as it was basically outside. The staff were helpful, but generally I was very disappointed.

This hostel was fine enough for the price and it’s only a 5 minute walk from the harbour which is a plus. They only give one key per booking due to keys having been lost so that can be an issue if traveling in a group. They also have lockers but no keys for the lockers as they’ve also gone missing. Overall okay and glad they include a free breakfast!

The best thing about this place is the staff!! They were the most kindest and friendliest people ever was meant to stay 1night but ended extending. The staff do become your friend and it’s was sad to leave them.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's clean, there's plenty of space in the dorm. The beds aren't the comfiest and it was quite noisy on a night, so good earplugs would be a must. But I would still stay here again. The staff are lovely too.

The hostel is right on the beach, close to all the restaurants, cafes and pubs and just 5 minutes walking from the harbor. The staff is very welcoming and I felt at home everyday there. Not a party hostel but really social so I could meet many others amazing backpackers. They offer different tours like snorkeling and the possibility to rent bicycles at a very good price. They also have a bar called “Lava Bar” where they organize different night like karaoke’s parties. Definitely recommende...

Lovely staff and close to the port. Rooms are pretty basic, although spacious. Not the most social hostel, but also may have been because it was low season.

Also, ich war schon in schlimmeren Hostels, allerdings auch schon in deutlich schöneren und saubereren. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer und Badezimmer könnten jedoch ein bisschen mehr Pflege gebrauchen. Ich war nur für meinen Diving Kurs da und dafür ists super - sie machen einem sogar auf anfrage früher frühstück damit man es nutzen kann obwohl es normal erst um 8:00 anfängt.

We enjoyed our stay at Beach Bum. The rooms are really spacious with 3/4 beds each, they are not crammed with bunk beds like many hostels. Breakfast was decent and everything was very clean. Staff were the highlight! Really friendly and helpful! Would stay here again :)

I'm really happy about my journey in Gili Beach Bum. The staff is really sweet and helpful, they're full of joy, gentle and always smiling! The vibes of the hostel are so nice and they satisfy both who wanna party and who don't. I super recommend it

Es ist leicht, Leute kennenzulernen da viele Aktivitäten angeboten werden. Das Frühstück ist gut und die Lage perfekt.

Nice hostel and did the job for 2 nights, however we got very little sleep due to being located right at the bar, even though we requested not to be at the bar. Karoke went on until at least 12.30am every night along with people outside your door talking until early hours in the morning. Beds were comfortable and the hostel was clean, but there wasn't a great atmosphere and very little people around.

Amazing place. Eri is an amazing host and the location is so convenient.

A well-located hostel that has fun events each night at its lava bar just out the front, but doesn’t require you to have large, party nights. The staff is incredible - so friendly, warm and helpful with any inquiry. The rooms are spacious and are limited to less people. Located close to the main strip and within easy walking distance of the port.

The hostel had a great atmosphere. Ice and B put a lot of effort in keeping the energy up!
