Poppy Hostel

Ok, le bar à côté est sympathique, mais cette auberge n'est clairement pas finie et les toilettes sont non fonctionnelles ou défectueuses, il y a une douche froide, un climatiseur non fonctionnel, pas d'électricité dans les chambres et une propreté qui laisse à désirer.

The whole place is a construction site! Maybe check when booking this is complete. I don't think they should be trading with an unfinished building. Staff however were good, location is good but loud

Its one of the pathetic hostel i have lived in, in this really hot summer season they don’t put on air condition they dont have fans as well. its really very bad experience, no drinking water facility. they should close this histel immediately

I didn’t really enjoy my stay. We booked for three nights but ended up leaving after the 1st. There were no curtains at the ends of the beds which was quite uncomfortable because people could look in if they were going past. Staff was nice though so if your fine with loud music then u might be fine. We just found it extremely overstimulating.

awful shower room. no social atmosphere. front desk tried to say i had to check out at 12pm when it says 1pm everywhere. not worth it.

Pretty new hostel, so has it's ups and downs. Really nice staff and pool table area, good location if you're wanting to party in Pai. Some drinking water and curtains on bed would definitely improve the place! Also need to update check-in hours, as advertised as 4pm on Hostelworld but was told I couldn't check in until 5pm.

It is a new place, but not the good new, it’s still in construction mode, what would be fine but the owner didn’t even bought some towels yet … I mean that wouldn’t be so hard or ? And it’s terrible loud in the night

We waited 1,5 hours for the check-in, tried to whatsapp and email the staff with no response. After she showed up we got no compensation and she just said, she had a shower ... cant recommend staying there. The accomodation was okay, no other complaints.

The rooms in themselves were nice, but the bathrooms and toilets rly sucked. There was nowhere to put down stuff without it getting dirty and the building has about 3 sinks in total. The atmosphere also wasnt that great.

- The music should be reduced by 20%, I know it needs to be loud, but it is excessive - There should be safes in the room, otherwise we can't protect our valuables like laptops, especially as anyone can walk into our rooms from the street during the day - It would be nice to have a charger on each bed, it means you can keep your phone safe next to you while you sleep - There needs to be hand soap in the downstairs bathroom, and in the upstairs bathroom it is running out - Shower gel is also empt

I usually don’t write reviews, but Poppy’s deserves one. I only stayed a few days, but we did so much together as a hostel — a Pai tour, movie nights, and of course tipsy tubing. Even though it wasn’t peak season, it was still super easy to meet people, not only your roommates but also travelers from other hostels joining for karaoke and pool nights.

Great hostel with really kind staff who are always happy to help. Great location and incredible value for money

would 100% recommend this hostel, the beds were super comfy with great ac and nice balcony. So worth the price without to mention the staff and owners. Jo, minh, peetoon, bobby, alfie and ed were all super helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Will be back!

Great hostel! Jo, mint, peetoon, bobby and ed were great! Very good rooms with high quality ac, beds are super comfy as well! Beautiful view of the mountains and sunset from the balcony. Staff very helpful, they can organise whatever you need! Also has a very fun daily and nightly schedule including tipsy tubing! They also have the CUTEST dog called Paneng!!

Loved staying here!! The reps Alfie and Ed were really welcoming and we had some great nights doing karaoke with everyone! The owners were really helpful recommending what to do in the area. Great facilities with the pool table and games etc, always kept us busy. Perfect mix of chill and party and right in the centre of town too. Would recommend to groups and solo travellers 🩷

Exactly as described in the listing, and with super helpful and friendly hosts! This hostel is exactly as described, right in the centre and close to all the bars etc. As mentioned in the listing, that does mean sometimes you can hear a bit of noise, but it honestly didn’t impact my stay at all. Beds super comfy and everyone so lovely - thank you for a great stay!

Jonathon and mint were so helpful during our stay, keeping us informed of events timings and where to get tickets in pai, they also rescued our speaker from the roof 😂. Loved staying at poppy hostel.

Class hostel. 5 aud, so cheap. Best in pai. Johnathon the owner is always yo for a chat and a nice guy. Makes staying there super comfortable

Awesome place, you definitely get your moneys worth. The people working here really care about the hostel and the vibes, organising activities and always trying to improve. Jonathan and Alfie were great. 10/10 would stay again.

Poppy hostel was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at on my whole south east Asia trip. The owner Jonathan and his wife are the nicest people, Alfie was also great. Rooms were very clean and AC was perfect, bathrooms/showers were clean. The bar had very good prices for backpackers and every night loads of people from other hostels came to the bar so it got very lively.Doing tipsy tubing with them was great, we got breakfast and got free taxi that came to every stop (very useful) for same pri...

This hostel was great. Clean dorms and bathrooms, good environment overall. Shout out to Jonathan and Alfie, they took good care of the place and were super friendly. Tipsy tubing was very fun with them as well, breakfast, taxi and good people all included in the ticket

Prima Hostel, personeel was gezellig en behulpzaam. De bedden waren top met fijne matrassen.Stopcontact dichtbij. Het was overal prima schoon. De douches waren prima en gekoeld. Ook de wasservice was top. Alleen de toiletten waren wat klein voor Europese lengtes dus enige minpuntje.

I absolutely loved my stay at Poppy hostel. The owners are very friendly people who will help you out with everything. Alfie was amazing, thank you for all the tips. the bar downstairs makes it very easy to meet people and the 2 pool tables are a huge plus. they also give discounts for hostel guest in the bar so there is cheap drinks as well. staff was very nice as well. 10/10 would recommend and I'm definitely coming back!

Lovely to stay again at poppy hostel! The owners (Johnathan and mint) and staff (Bobby and Peetoon) are super lovely and helpful, always making sure your looked after during your stay. The location is brilliant as it’s on walking street and close to some very good restaurants. Poppy also has its own bar where they host pool tournaments over their two tables with prizes included, as well as nightly karaoke, beer pong and darts! Definitely one the best nights in pai! Would recommend to travele...
