I only stayed one night but if I come back to Bern I will definitely stay again. The woman at the front desk was so lovely and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the shared showers were delightful (hot, continuously running, nicely placed), and breakfast! It was a great spread and I loved it. Would definitely recommend!
Really nice brightly decorated room with basic facilities but well considered. Access to staff at all hours helped for queries and pointers. Staff were all pleasant and welcoming. In all I felt it to be a comfortable stay made easier by the accommodation.
Hotel Marthahaus was one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed as a solo traveller. The entire staff were lovely, and accommodating, and extremely kind and professional. I felt welcome the minute I arrived until the moment I left. The housekeeping staff were amazing. Not one area of the hotel was left unpolished. It was immaculate, fresh with crisp linens and brand new towels daily. Breakfast was delicious and coffee/tea all day! Perfect location, safe neighborhood! Solid value.
Aardige mensen, warme ontvangst, ziet er heel gezellig uit, brandschoon en dag en nacht gratis verse koffie, thee en chocola melk in de ontbijtzaal uit een goede automaat. Enorm genoten van 1 persoonskamer met eigen balkonnetje. En Bern heeft een prachtig oud centrum, er zijn mooie uitkijkpunten op de stad, een rozentuin en botanische tuin waar iedereen gratis in mag twee straten vanaf hostel wat op loopafstand is van station. Perfect! Ik ga zo weer.
Nice people, warm reception, looks very nice, brandschoon day and night free verses coffee, tea and chocolate milk in the breakfast room from a good vending machine. Enormous enjoyment of 1 person room with private balcony. and Bern has a beautiful old center, there are nice viewpoints on the city, a rose garden and botanical garden where everyone can enter free two streets from the hostel which is on loopafstand is from the station. perfect!
