- Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel was disappointing. The rate we paid was significantly higher than expected. Shortly after checking in, I discovered on Booking.com, the platform through which we originally made the reservation, that the same room was listed at $300 less. Regrettably, the hotel declined to honour a price match. Additionally, the location was quite unfavourable, with a noticeable presence of homelessness in the surrounding area. The view from our room was obstructed by an adjacent building pressed closely against the window, resulting in a very poor outlook. The room itself was extremely small and did not meet our expectations. The parking fees were also notably high, amounting to $30 per day. Interestingly, had we chosen not to validate the parking through the hotel, the cost would have been significantly lower, approximately $5 to $10 per day. This discrepancy was both unexpected and disappointing. Overall, we did not enjoy our stay and would neither recommend the property nor consider returning in the future.

+ Avoid this hotel! Was like a nightmare. The hotel is in front of station, it was croud, busy, dirty, with a lot a homeless and drug peaple around. They don’t have park, you should park out and came with your luggage. Really tiny Room.

- They did not informed us regarding the breakfast times neither the parking issue. I received the information email a day later our check out, which is today. We purchased the stay including breakfast and parking. We thought the breakfast was till 11am when we called at 10.30am to ask if we were still be able to make it they said weekdays it's till 10.30 and declined offering anything since it was already paid. But the bigger issue was with the parking. We thought the parking belonged to them but apparently they have a contract with the business called 'Secure Parking' which the next morning we found out someone broke into our car and stole many valuables. We werent communicated for compensation for neither of them. Very very disappointing stay I wish we never purchased anything with them.

+ Nothing - customer service was awful.

- I rang Hilton to alter my stay to another weekday and was advised by Hilton to contact Booking.com to facilitate. Booking.com said to go to Hilton directly! I messaged Hilton this time but did not get a response, and I have not received a response to date (the message was sent 5 days ago). I then contacted Booking.com again, and they said they would try to reach out to Hilton. They eventually got a response, and it was shared a day after my booking date. A comedy of errors, and mainly due to Hilton's inability to respond in a timely manner, and when they do, incorrect information is provided.

+ After my horror stay, the morning manager was super apologetic and wanted to hear more about and try and solve some of the problems that plagued my one night stay. Said he would get back to me with some updates -- have heard nothing. But he was preofessional and seemed to care.

- Their "aircon" is a joke - it is not individually controlled as the thermostat says, nor is it pumping out the air temperature it says either (much hotter air than the measure on the thermostat), nor is the strength of the air of any use to cool down the room. After calling front desk explaining my heart condition and my concerns that their in-room "aircon" was not working, I was initially placated by staff with no solutions when I called front desk. "It will be 15 mins", "Try switching it on again", etc... etc... When a front desk person finally came up we diagnosed that the design of the room seems to be at fault. The aircon points to a section of the room nowhere near the bed, on a 40c day this meant that the hot air on the other side of the room where the bed was stayed hot. Hence presenting a cardiac risk for me. They finally brought up a fan, however the person looked and spoke to me like I had just asked his first born as sacrifice to use this precious fan.

Don’t be fooled by the nice photos - this place is gross. The entire building is dark and dingy, the dorm I was in stank very badly, had poor lighting and extremely loud creaky fans. It looked nothing like the pictures at all with every shared area being generally messy, smelly, and badly lit. Overall the place has a very grim vibe. Not sure when it was last cleaned, but certainly not since the photos were taken. Avoid avoid avoid.

- Disappointed that our first stay at this Hotel and it was our anniversary and asked if there could be an upgrade and without checking he said plain out NO. Very dissapointing.

- The food was average at best . The staff were not helpful. The coffee was rubbish. The cocktail bar closed to early.

+ The staff at breakfast were just so wonderful today. It was a great location and very very quiet considering how close you are to everything even trains

- The only reason I didnt give it a larger score was the weird window that face the entrance to the shower and is not frosted. It had a draw down blind but its uncomfortable and very odd. Also it was quite noisy trying to check in and hard to hear the lady at the front desk

+ Happy to recommend. Friendly and welcoming service at front desk, spacious room. Breakfast was very good, and the morning staff are very friendly, bright and helpful. Restaurant and bar downstairs are also handy. What a location; nearly opposite Flinders St station, and a very easy walk to MCG (we went to watch a game on Anzac weekend).
