Mad Monkey Melbourne

+ The location was great.

- Unfortunately I found the manager very disrespectful and rude I did not want to stay there any longer he kills the Vibe call him the Vibe killer.

- The staff were rude and inviting as though they were too cool for school lol

- I’m really disappointed — not with the hostel itself, which is good overall, but with the attitude of some guests. There was a serious lack of respect and consideration. The staff helped me quickly after the first night by moving me because of a strong weed smell, which I appreciated. But during the next nights, one roommate kept opening the window in the middle of the night, even when it was 7°C, despite knowing I was sick. He ignored messages and explanations from both me and the staff, and kept reopening it repeatedly. Good hostel, but a lots of guests really need more basic respect and education, which is the disappointing part about this hostel.

- The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. It was not clean and smelled of urine.

- 아쉬웠던 점이 아니라 최악입니다. 카운터 남자의 성추행 발언과 행동. 미친것들 아닌지.. 옆 건물의 모터 소리가 너무 커서 잠을 잘수가 없고 침대커버는 너무 마음에 난들었네요..

- Schließfächer waren kaputt, der Boden war dreckig, kaum Platz, Badezimmer waren dreckig, Tür hatte einen großen Schlitz sodass wir die ganze Nacht Licht im Zimmer hatten und jeden Schritt im Haus gehört hatten.

+ Das Personal war sehr freundlich!

- Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer für über 100 Euro pro Nacht, das sehr enttäuschend war: 1. Sehr laut, da das Fenster über einer Lüftung und damit de facto nicht zu öffnen war. Ein Alternativzimmer, das mir angeboten wurde, hatte gar kein Fenster. 2. Sehr klein: Ich musste mein Bordcase auf dem Bett öffnen und folglich immer wieder schliessen / wegstellen 3. Nicht sauber: Ich habe auf der Bettwäsche Haare meiner Vorgänger gefunden. 4. Sehr hellhörig und bis spät sehr laut. 5. Lage: Das Hostel lag ausserhalb des Stadtzentrums und war nur mit einem Bus erreichbar. Da die Gegend abends unbelebt war, bin ich bei Dunkelheit sicherheitshalber immer per Uber zurück gefahren. Die vielen guten Bewertungen sind mir ein Rätsel.

+ Good hostel with great people working on it! Good place to rest and good rooms. Victor in the reception helps me a lot in my first days in Australia. Good place to start.

+ The staff is super nice Highly suggested

+ The room and the bathrooms.

- The kitchen

+ It's in a good location, the bathrooms are clean, and you can meet lots of people if you're into that. I wouldn't stay more than 1-2 nights.

- Given the price and the fact that it's loud until 1-2 AM (because it's a hostel and soundproofing is non-existent), you can spend 10-20 more dollars and stay at a hotel. That's what I wish I had done. Lesson learned.

+ Frankly, I am more than satisfied with my stay at Mad Monkey Melbourne 😍 The place is really amazing: clean, warm, with a great atmosphere. You feel good there from the first moment. The manager is just exceptional, a true love. Always available to help, super helpful, no matter the request. It's rare to come across someone so involved and human 🙌 And what about the people there... everyone is adorable! A super friendly atmosphere where you quickly feel at home. Honestly, I recommend 1000%, it's clearly one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Thank you for everything 💛
