I'd like to offer an objective perspective on the Mingle hotel group. This company is controlled by a holding company whose goal is profit maximization without any real customer care. They offer various hostels in Kuala Lumpur, along with associated cafes, restaurants, and laundromats. I was able to stay at the Mingle Lekiu and booked the best room there. The hostel, like the others I looked at beforehand, is a very old, run-down building, patched up haphazardly. In my case, there was virtually ...
Good location and quick walk to many sites. Has a pool but needs cleaning. Not a social hostel. Events are organised by other hostels in chain and focused around bar crawls. Beds a ply planks. Dorms are on 2 floors up steep narrow staircase, no lift. Staff use the common room as their staff room and makes it feel awkward to stay. Outdoor seating is shared with cafe next door who can all watch you in the pool. Very uncomfortable.
Nice common area and pretty outdoor patio (shared with the cafe next door). Getting to the room is a climb (mine was on second floor but there were some rooms on third). Big lockers, you need your own lock. My room and the space outside smelled weird all the time. Room had a good size and bed was good. Bathrooms are mixed and their cleanliness can improve. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. Many homeless people sleep outside, they didn't cause issues but you have the right to know before.
Pro: the pool is nice to relax in. There were 2 very nice people working (others a bit rude) Cons: It’s newly opened so there isn’t too much of a vibe yet. they say nice coffee is included but it’s only black and it’s across the street in another place, you can get breakfast deal there for 15 too though. The cafe itself inside the hostel is expensive. Bathrooms are far from your dorm and not clean honestly. Also you cannot take any bags inside your room so it can become annoying.
New hostel, it's pretty cool with a swimming pool but it's not social at all. If you're not looking for meeting new people it's great
This was great as a solo traveller because each night has its own activity to be social. I enjoyed my private room and the bathrooms were clean enough, the pool was a great addition too and it wasn’t too busy. Staff were really nice and the cafe adjoining is good for lunch and snacks
Very clean. Good location. Not a social hostel
War okay, der außen Bereich war gut sogar mit Pool
Average hostel. Best Mingle. Nice outdoor place to chill. No free coffee.
Gutes Socialhostel aber auch zum Chillen am Pool

Nice Hostel, social and they do a lot of activitys.
I really enjoyed my stay here! Nice staff and really nice facilities. I used the pool and courtyard every day. They have a group chat for events - the trivia night at the pub was legendary! You can also go to their other properties to use the bar or coworking space. You can easily walk to the metro station and to Chinatown. I'll definitely return someday.
Softest sheets I’ve ever had in a hostel! Great location right between little india and chinatown. Easy common areas to hang out and socialise - swimming pool and pool table - but never too busy!! Fun social events were a great other way to meet people too. Ended up extending and extending… really enjoyed it here!
Great hostel with good facilities. The staff are very helpful.

nearly perfect dont get the bbq
Stayed for 2 nights it was great and not too far from Chinatown, the bus station, and the train. They even let me leave my backpack for a week while I went to Bali and came back, which I really appreciated. Highly recommended!
Super nettes Personal einfach top
Really enjoyed our stay here, all the staff are so lovely and helpful. Our room was clean and had good air conditioning and the bathrooms were always clean - bathrooms were on a different floor as we were in a private room but made no difference to us 😊
pretty good
