Bambuda Bocas Town

Really not worth the money and zero socializing vibe! Better go to Bambuda lodge. Still hard to believe that they are the same chain since literally everything is better in the Lodge

The bed was comfy, there is a fan per bed, your own charging points, a lil alcove to store things which is nice. The AC stayed on which made it comfy. Bathrooms were poorly designed, high risk of seeing ur roomie nude or vice versa. Staff were SO rude. The rudest I’ve ever experienced. Service was bad and took a long time. Staff would literally ignore you consistently. Throw a menu & run. They dump sewerage into the ocean right next to the hostel. Staff confirmed it was waste, do not swim here...

Not a hostel! In a hotel, they installed a few bed dorms. As a result, they try to make you pay for everything and do not care about their hostel customers. Doors are blocked, light is not properly working, wifi is very spotty, the showers are so badly designed that you will end up naked in front of your mixed dorm roommate. There is also no kitchen and no real common room so your only choice is to pay the very pricey food at the bar.

The people working here were horribly unfriendly and ignoring, that gave so many bad vibes. To chill in the beautiful area on top you were not allowed unless consuming something, so what is it for? When I can’t order a coffe and then eat my breakfast there, which Inprepared in the kitchen. Asking them a little question and you could be happy if you get the answer like with one word. Wir waren in einem Doppelzimmer und es war bisher das dreckigste Hostel in dem wir in unserem gesamten Aufenthalt waren. Der Boden war dreckig, die Lampenschirme vergilbt und modrig, die Fliesen in der Dusche nicht geputzt, die Polster wiesen Zeichen von Schimmel auf.

The hostel was full of cockroaches and bedbugs… The staff is rude and you have to chase them. One morning the waitress gave me the menu, but when I went to her to order 10 minutes later, she said the kitchen was closing for a hour, but I could have drinks. The staff don’t care about allergies. Even if a dish is marked as gluten-free or vegan, they will use products with gluten and dairy when they run out of the original products for the dish and they don’t inform you about it. Nice hostel but way overpriced

It's a nice hostel but the staff are so incredibly unhelpful really ruins the atmosphere. About 5 minutes walk from the main part of town on more quiet streets so could be unsafe if you were alone. There was also a huge turd in the dorm toilets for 2 days. obviously not the hostels fault it happened but shows that they don't clean the dorm rooms that often. gets very very hot at night in the pods

Really nice staff and great location! Not a complain (cause its not advertised as) but something others should know about: no kitchen, not a social hostel. What i have to complain about however is that the lock on our door was broken and even the staff didnt know how to fix it. The lockers also smelled kind of odd and the bathroom also looked really old and used and not like advertised. For the price, not something i would have expected.

Het hostel an sich was zeker goed gelegen. Het personeel dat daar aanwezig was, was echter ongezien onvriendelijk: boertig, ongeïnteresseerd, duidelijk tegen hun zin aan het werk en totaal niet meedenkend. Het was echt een totaal andere ervaring dan in alle andere Bambuda Hostels. De 6p kamer waarin ik verbleef was bovendien erg teleurstellend voor de prijs die je ervoor moet betalen. Er was slechts één klein raampje, waardoor het aanvoelde alsof je in een grot zat.

Great location and outdoor area! Convenient to have the restaurant on premise! Staff was helpful when trying to plan tours or water taxis to other islands. We stayed on the front and end of our stay in Bocas. The 6 bed mixed dorm the first time was small with not much extra room, and the same style room we had at the end of our trip was in the basement at the end of the hall. The hostel is great, but it is more like a hotel. No kitchen, and if you are sitting in the common space they kinda force you to have a consumption from the bar. The tours are nice caus they pick you up by boat from the hostel. But the staff is cold and the activities are poorly organised.

Loved this spot for my Bocas stay!! The highlight is definitely the amazing deck area and swimming chilling out there! Great spot to be off the main strip but just around the corner from it all! I would definitely stay here again!

If you’ve been to Bambuda Lodge before, you should prepare yourself for a different vibe at Bambuda Bocas Town. The staff do their jobs, but they aren’t very friendly. There’s no cozy backpacker atmosphere—it's more of a hotel vibe. Looking back, I feel I paid too much for what I got.

Good place to stay in Bocas. Especially Camilla made the stay wonderful. She will make sure you will have an amazing time!!

SFT. It’s a pretty place but I came on a rainy weekend haha. It wasn’t so fun- not the hostel’s fault, just mine. So I recommend checking the weather before hand. Anyway, place was very beautiful. They helped a lot with tours and shuttles too. It’s a party hostel so there’s a bar and music at night. But once you get to the dorm, it’s hard to hear the music. Alles optisch sehr ansprechend und die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich. Leider hatte ich beide Nächte ein Bett in dem das Licht nicht funktioniert hat und auch der Ventilator nicht. Da ich mit Frühstück gebucht hatte und eine sehr frühe Abreise am nächsten Morgen, wollte ich gerne den angebotenen Service in Anspruch nehmen, dass sie mir ein Frühstück vorbereiten. Am Morgen um 6:30 Uhr war niemand an der Rezeption. Auch nach 10 min kam niemand. So musste ich ohne das bezahlte Frühstü...

Beautiful space but the dorms need to be larger. The shower is right in the room making it challenging to shower privately lol Great location ! I met people here but it’s not a party hostel.

My stay was fabulous, loved the location and had the BEST time with Maïna! She was so welcoming and fun to talk to!

The hostel itself was nice, unfortunately it felt more like a hotel with a few dorms. The bar staff was nice, the reception staff was unhelpful and rude at times. The facilities were clean and nice, on the first day we couldn’t checkin in though, because the power wasn’t working, then the shower in our room was cold and a day later the power points also weren’t working. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying there if you want to meet other travels

The place is really nice, the room as well but not super big (the 4ppl dorm with a view at least). Not a lot of activities going on, just things at the property sometimes, not everyday, not a super social hostel, but the place and the view are nice. The food was also good.

Juana is so warm and welcoming! She even joined me for dinner, which as a solo traveler I really appreciate.

Very clean, modern, nice design, great views. Cool deck with water access. Some offerings for Pilates and dancing. Definitely a recommend. Stayed in 4 bed dorm and haven’t seen such a nice dorm room with bathroom before. Located on the main island. You can reach all places of the small town by foot.

Honestly one of the prettiest hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff was super friendly especially the breakfast waitress! Very clean and comfy beds! I would love a few more hostel amenities tho - a kitchen to cook (meals are quite expensive around there) - rags to hang dry clothes and towels - more bathrooms (1 for 6 beds) - some activities to meet others Overall a nice stay ☺️
