+ Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und es gab kleine Extrawünsche ohne Aufpreis. Etwas abseits von Tena gelegen, aber alles andere als ruhig!
- Die Lage ist in Ordnung. Ein schöner Garten aber direkt an der Hauptstraße. Das negativste jedoch: im Haupthaus bekommt man fast keine Ruhe. Die Decken und Wände sind nur Bretter. Man hört und spürt den Lärm wenn über, neben und unter einem gelaufen, gesprochen, gesungen oder sonst welcher Lärm gemacht wurde. Von 00:00-05:00 war es meist ruhig (außer viele Hähne, Hunde und die Straße). Danach ist es mit der Ruhe vorbei. Und ohne Schlaf ist die beste Unterkunft einfach schlecht. Die Komposttoiletten sind nicht für jedermann, das sollte man auch vorher wissen.
This wasn’t such a great place to stay, the place itself was alright but the location was very removed from the city and the owner was very rude. At one point I was overcharged and instead of offering to help me, he stated that it wasn’t his fault and proceeded to walk away from the situation. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
- El hostal es justo al lado de la ruta, por lo que se escuchan mucho los ruidos de los carros, camionetas y motos pasando. No hay jabón en la ducha… El colchón estaba duro.
- There is a hole instead of a toilet, the whole room smells terrible. There is no soundproofing at all, some Germans were farting loudly and laughing all morning behind the wall. There is not a single chair in the room, not a single table, there is absolutely nowhere to put a computer, it is impossible to work. For breakfast they gave cold coffee with cold milk. It is just awful.

+ The location is nice, far from the city noise. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Wifi worked well.
- I don't get the hype the hotel gets. It's ok but nothing special. It's well overpriced. You can do better in Ecuador for half the price. The construction of the toilet makes it really uncomfortable to use. No desk or chair in the room. I didn't get even a half of smile from the staff during my stay. At times they looked like they were unhappy that I'm there.

Hostal Pakay offered a quiet, clean, welcoming stay away from the busyness of the town. It’s the perfect spot for travellers looking to chill and enjoy the sounds of nature. Staff were kind and accommodating, and very helpful providing recommendations and organizing tours. We would absolutely come back if we ever returned to Tena.

You can experience a beautiful scenery in Hostal Pakay. The location is a bit off from tena, but you can always take a taxi for cheap. Breakfast is good and you can ask the owners always
+ Endroit très agréable, au milieu d'un grand jardin, au calme et bien aménagé. chambres très spécieuses même si elles gagneraient à avoir quelques espaces de rangement. Personnel très gentil et très aidant. Le petit-déjeuner est frais, très bon et relativement copieux. Une ambiance chaleureuse et familiale.
- Un peu éloigné du centre-ville mais ça a ses avantages. Quelques rangements gagneraient à être mis dans les chambres (étagères ou même chaises pour poser ses affaires). De même, dans les chambres, il manque des prises de courant ainsi qu'un meilleur éclairage/des lumières individuelles. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur Booking, il n'y a pas de cuisine accessible pour les clients.

+ El lugar se encuentra en plena naturaleza, tranquilo, desayuno más que aceptable en un lugar envidiable, el alojamiento ofrece excursiones, en nuestro caso elegimos el día completo por el río Napo, y fue todo un acierto. El dueño (Toni) es un tipo con un gran conocimiento de la zona, y la excursión fue muy auténtica.
- Al estar en plena naturaleza por la noche se escuchan todo tipo de animales, tenlo en cuenta si tienes el sueño ligero. La cama era algo dura. No se permite el pago con tarjeta. El alojamiento se encuentra algo alejado de Tena.
A magical place on the edge of the rainforest, with wonderful and very helpful owners, and a great location - easy walking distance from the center, yet completely secluded, you can't hear the city noises, just birdsong and the sounds of the forest. Very clean, spacious, and beautiful.

+ ALLES. Einfach fabelhaft dort . Sehr zu empfehlen .
+ Die Lage ist wunderschön am Hang in einem tollen Naturpark . 10 Minuten zu Fuß im die Stadt . Gutes Frühstück . Tony spricht Deutsch und hilft bei allen Fragen . Es gibt warmes Wasser 😁 Auf jeden Fall sehr weiter zu empfehlen .
+ Loved the vibe, private cabin, and delicious breakfast. Manager Tatiana was wonderful and helped us with all bookings. The hummingbirds were the highlight!
- Not the fault of the place but Mindo in January is very humid, meaning everything is damp and nothing dries. As most places in Ecuador there is no heating or cooling in the room to help with this.
Nothing but good things to say about this place. Would go back without hesitation

+ A cama era confortável, as pessoas eram muito simpáticos e solícitos e o café da manhã é muito bom. O quarto tem uma decoração bem fofa e o hostel é rodeado por árvores nativas, deixando o clima e o som bem agradáveis, gostamos muito e recomendamos.
- Pelas fotos ele parece ser ainda mais na natureza do que é, e o chuveiro ficava variando entre quente e frio durante o banho. Mas nada disso piorou nossa estadia, foi tudo bem.
