Auberge NOLA Party Hostel

kicked out after I arrived and Charged And Roof leaks Owner unreasonable and I have yet to recieve a refund

property is prejudice every black male with locs is not from new orleans i ttavelelved all the way from Atlanta to be treated poorly and have been demied contact with management, joe the receptionjst was very nasty and rude if you are black dont book here

Typed instructions left for late arrivals was incorrect - causing me to wander the neighborhood (at 1am) looking for wrong house description. Followed around by sketchy guy asking if I was "lost". Booked (& paid more) 4 all-female rm - at least 1 guy in room. Woke to clean syringe on the floor (bad joke?). No clean towels available at 8am. Texted number from instructions , no answer until the following day - and guy was full of attitude. Used my bedsheet for towel. THUMBS DOWN!!

The AC was not working (it was 86 in room). Staff said “it does that” and that “Europeans surprisingly don’t like the AC” (not sure how that’s relevant). The attached toilet would bubble up sewage gas so it was honestly just the most disgusting experience. I was told I could move to another room but the unknown bill would come in the morning (wouldn’t tell me how much). And super old sqeaky dated furniture. Smoke stain and urine stains on the mattress (you must undress your own bed...

They never let me know the followings:“``Notifications about changing the entrance password were sent via email, and notifications about organizing the refrigerator were sent to the inn's WhatApp account.'' I haven't heard anything like that. I don't have WhatApp registered on my IPhone, and I can't connect to WiFi while I'm out. So what the inn was doing was just harassment to me. So I couldn’t get in soon, also my food was thrown away.

they canceled my reservation for a reason that i can understand, but they charged my credit card days later and didnt give me a refund as promised. this is stealing!!!

No warm water, the staff were involved sexually with travelers, giving it a bad environment. The place had no aircondition and stuff was not helpful at all

Absolutely great place to stay and meet people Byron around the world, only exception is that mardi gra’ is very expensive in regards to funding housing , I also missed opportunities to hangout with great group cause my WhatsApp was not connected properly to group chat

several nights at the nola hostel, no problem, very satisfied. good atmosphere. on 12/31 I was transferred to the annex. the bill is doubled to $80. I accept, but the bed has not been made I have tried to sleep in dirty sheets, without result. I warned when entering in the morning by email. and no response. I can send the photos. money is not everything in life. respect for the person is more important. i travel all over the world and just ask for hygiene. philip

It was an amazing hostel, great location (close to a streetcar stop), very clean, with everything you may need. But mostly the staff was very nice and helpful. They foster the sense of community by organizing events but also discussing with the guests and sharing their recommendations! Best Hostel I have been so far!

My stay was great, the staff was awesome. it was convenient to the rail car to see the sights, vibes were great. I would definitely stay again.

I had THE BEST time while in the hostel, the people, the staff, the location, the beds, the rooms, everything PERFECT! if I could I’d go back every week! super recommend

Had an absolutely amazing time with the staff who led us through a bar crawl every night. 110% would recommend this hostel.

Property was very clean with bathrooms and common areas being cleaned by a crew every single day of our stay. There was a pretty well enforced quiet hours policy and folks weren’t being too loud outside of it. The staff were incredible and setup social mixer events in the back yard to help everyone meet each other. Overall, the best hostel experience I’ve ever had 10/10.

Solid place, Location, and People

Clean, and in what felt like to me a safe area. Close to a tram line that goes to the French quarter. And with free street parking around the property. Bed was memory foam type so super comfortable. AC works, but I felt warm in my room. But I arrived after hours (5 p.m.) so may have missed if you can control it. IDK. For those that want to party there were events. But they were also respectful of those who wanted good sleep. One thing I would add would be lockers in the room, instead of out.

My first hostel in the USA! Beds were decent in the dormitory. The AC was turned up WAY too high and the room was ironically quite cold. Other than that it was a cool place.

The hostel itself is good and clean, but it is in a sketchy area with a scary walk to frenchman street which meant I had to spend a lot on ubers, plus it lacks lockers next to the beds and washing machine. The party scene is well organised with group trips out, but the guy leading this was coming onto every single girl there, especially the young girls which felt really weird.

Auberge was a great place to stay! Travellers have access to a lot of amenities like a kitchen, courtyard, TV room, and more. The rooms are spacious (comfortable beds, large locker spaces) and the buildings themselves have a nice nola charm. The people I met there were friendly and the staff, Felipe, Tyler and Sophia were no exception, bringing energy to rile up guests for their frequent nights out, but also being great chats in the daytime. I'd recommend for a comfortable stay & making friends!

This property was GREAT! Everything you need and nothing too over the top. The vibe was super chill, attracting a laid back and pleasant crowd. The staff were accommodating and friendly, and invited everyone to attend an evening get together. Although I opted out, there were lots of other chances to connect with others. Bathrooms were clean and maintained, water pressure was good, and basic necessities were provided. Beds were decent, I used my towel for a curtain on my lower bunk for privacy.

The place was clean and the rooms were nice. The staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome and showed all the guests the best spots in New Orleans to have a great time. Would definitely revisit this hostel 😁

Choosing to stay at Auberge was the best decision I could’ve made! I left with friends for life after meeting amazing people from all over the world! The staff (Sophia, Felipe & Tyler) were incredible and felt more like friends, hosting fun pregames every night. I was genuinely sad to leave and will 100% be back. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in🩷

It was nice we had Sophia, Felipe, and Tyler as our hosts they were very friendly and helpful. They helped organise nightlife activities and even had a WhatsApp group to embolie new comers.
