Howzit Hostels

When we booked a private room here, we were clear that we were traveling with children and entered their ages and payed full price. When we arrived at midnight from a flight and in a terrible storm, they told us that kids aren't supposed to stay (stressful). They let us stay thankfully but we felt really uncomfortable the next day from staff. If kids aren't allowed, fine but don't allow people to book! We often stay in hostels' private rooms while traveling. This one was not the cleanest.

Staff are 10/10 location is detrimental. Hour by bus to the beach or 100$ a day for a car. Doesn’t really line up for long term back packing vibes but short term vacation I see how it could be good.

Völlig überwertet für den Preis den man zahlt!Das 8 bed dorm kann ich leider gar nicht empfehlen, viele Leute wissen nicht wie man sich benimmt und machen nachts das Licht an, telefonieren, etc.Die Badezimmer sind abends sehr dreckig und nass.Im gemeinschaftsraum ist es sehr laut und wenn man unten ein Zimmer hat hört man das bis 23 Uhr sehr deutlich.Die Matratze für meine letzte Nacht war viel zu weich und man versank darin, dass ist keinesfalls gesund für den Rücken.

Friendly staff and great ambiance, kitchen, and common spaces (5/5). However, only 4–5 showers for men, no lockers, and in the mix 8 dorm the AC broke twice. My bed was loose and creaky, and staff couldn’t fix or move me. I had to check out at 2AM and sleep in my car. Despite staying over 7 times before without issue, no one followed up.

I’ve stayed in many hostels. I had a tough time here. Beyond the reception space, it was uncleanly (running a finger across surfaces tracked residue, indicating quick/inattentive cleaning). I woke up in the night with respiratory issues and left my room and sat in the lobby from 2/3 am onwards. I did not want to stay there again; asked for refund for the next night. Manager refused: no refunds, no exceptions. Was my misery really worth the 50 dollars? Cheap. Disputed through my bank instead.

Very disappointing stay. Located in the middle of nowhere. Can’t go on any events/tours because they fill up after 5 seconds. Door codes don’t work half the time. Stay went horribly. Decided to leave early and of course they didn’t give me a refund

If I could give this hostel 0 stars I would. WORST HOSTEL I have EVER stayed at. Hostel was clean but that is all it had. Staff were super rude, everyone was uni-inviting and rude. Area is horrendous there is NOTHING to do around and the area is filled with homeless drug addicts. Especially as a woman you will NOT feel safe. Their activities sound great but they only allow 10 people on each trip and sign up sheets go up the day before so you’ll rarely get on the sign up sheet. NEVER GO HERE!!!...

Do not stay here. I check out at 04:00 in the morning and when i get down to the reception i ask for check out and get my 10 euros deposit. The receptionist told me until i bring down my bed sheets that he will not let me check out. I told him so nicely that i m very sensitive for the people in the room and i couldn’t make some noise and get my bed sheets out of my bed because of the noise i make. The receptionist said that he doesn’t care about it. We end up having argument. He kicked me ou...

My stay was nice. Nice, friendly staff and the back yard space gave it a more private feel. The room was spacious and it was nice to have a kitchen. Great AC! And a comfy bed. However, it could’ve been a bit cleaner. The countertops and table weren’t wiped clean and there was grit/dust especially on the bedroom floor. The bathroom smelled slightly as well. New or at least newer towels would be appreciated as well since I felt I was drying off with towels that could be used as car wash rags.

This Hostel is horrible. I was put in an area that was under construction, holes in the walls, door that was so noisy when it opened you were woken up every time someone opened it. No bathrooms, you had to go outside and upstairs to use bathroom. Dirty. small, horrible place. Avoid if you can. All coed rooms, no privacy as a female.

Hostel bien équipé avec machines à laver, sèche linge, cuisine équipée et petit déjeuner (pancakes). Seul bémol la propreté dans les chambres et les parties communes .. les salles de bains étaient vraiment sales et les couloirs aussi. Mais bien placé et pas très loin de l’aéroport

i cannot thank this hostel enough for the memories made. genuinely the best staff and so many beautiful humans with so many amazing stories. the hostel itself is gorgeous, i had an 8 bed female only dorm and it was always clean, the bathrooms are stocked, and are so nice with towels and all the other amenities offered. luke and dani are such amazing tour guides, mckenna and britney helped make me feel included. best first hostel experience ever

Das Hostel ist eine 12 von 10! Es werden jeden Tag Touren angeboten, die Mitarbeiter sind unfassbar nett, es ist sehr sauber und man lernt sehr schnell Menschen aus aller Welt kennen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

The employees are very nice and proactive. Furthermore, even when people are hanging around in the lobby and having a good time, the rooms are very quiet and you can sleep if you want. Unfortunately, in the upper bed have no place to store personal items directly next to your bed. Furthermore, the hostel does not have enough restrooms during peak hours, so you need to a wait some minutes. But all in all it’s a good place to stay.

Great location, the staff is superfriendly, rooms were relatively clean, a lot of clean washrooms, nearby street parking, nearby acai bowl and coffee.

I would definitely recommend staying here on your trip on Maui, the staff working here are laidback and friendly, also you get lockable showers, everything is very clean and overall great vibesss.:)

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was AMAZING!!! I would recommend this to any of my friends. Everything was so clean and with the locks on the doors it felt very safe. Daniel was also a wonderful tour guide!

Tout était parfait, personnel de bons conseils et aidant. Le seul bémol est le wifi qui ne fonctionnait pas bien.

Séjour Ok cependant la cuisine et les salles de bain et toilettes n’ont pas été nettoyées pendant les 3 jours où nous étions là… Pas possible d’accéder à la wifi et nous avons du demander une couverture après avoir passé une nuit dans le froid dans la chambre Sinon l’auberge est très cosy et globalement bien placée si vous avez une voiture. Beaucoup d’excursions sont proposées tous les jours

War schon in extrem vielen Hostel, das hier ist wirklich eins der Top-Tier Hostel. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Wenn ihr auf Maui seit, kommt hier hin. Hatte kein Auto, die Touren ermöglichen aber trotzdem alles zu sehen und gleichzeitig auch noch ein Haufen tolle Menschen kennenzulernen :)! Danke für die Zeit hier

The staff at this hostel were incredible--they made the experience 10x better. Luke and Victoria lead amazing beach and hiking tours while I was there. The daily tours (beach, hiking, snorkeling, Road to Hana, etc.) were the best parts of my trip. Daniel was also a great host at the hostel, incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The main entrance and rooms had locks with individual passcodes so it felt very safe. Individual bathrooms were nice and well maintained. Common area was set up well to meet...

This is my third time staying at this place, and I feel a unique warmth here. It is a very quiet and clean spot, and the service is fantastic. It was a pleasure to be assisted once again by Luke—he is very friendly and provides excellent service. Thank you, and we’ll see you soon!

This hostel is great! Staff is amazing, vibes were amazing, everyone was awesome. The daily activities is pretty sick, only thing is keep in mind the activities may be different than the one listed on hostel world. Check from their official site to get the list for the week.
