0 stars if I could. Worst hostel I have every stayed at
poor facilities everthing dirty/broken check in process was horrible social vibe and activities were not there it was a sunday dont know if that matters... but was quite disappointed with my stay
In unserem Zimmer hat es muffig und feucht gerochen. Der Geruch ist trotz Klimaanlage nicht verschwunden. Das Zimmer hatte zu wenig stauraum und war lieblos eingerichtet. Es gab überall sehr viele Ameisen. Aus den Dorms wurde uns berichtet, dass diese sogar auf den Betten waren. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider gar nicht. Für das was geboten wird war das Zimmer viel zu teuer. Das Frühstück hingegen war sehr lecker und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich.
Our room smelled of muffins and damp. The smell did not go away despite the air conditioning. The room had too little storage space and was unkemptly furnished. There were a lot of ants everywhere. From the dorms we were told that they were even on the beds. The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right. The room was much too expensive for what is ordered. The breakfast, however, was very tasty and the staff were friendly.
rooms were infested with ants & had multiple instances where my sheets had so many dead ants in them when id come back from a day out. its overpriced with nothing in return - party hostel but doesnt give a happy hour or free drinks out so its cheaper to go to a bar than drink at the hostel & the drinking games are so cringe its like a 14 yr old boy made them. all the activities are overpriced its cheaper to book them yourself
The room was very dirty. Hairs all over bathroom floor. The staff were unhelpful and it took nearly an hour to check out. Also, don’t bother renting a ped from them, this also takes ages. The free breakfast is awful. The location is miles away from where you really wannabe. The rooms were tiny and cramped. The staff took ages to do absolutely everything and were generally unhelpful. Breakfast was covered in flies. Don’t stay here. Dots is the place to stay in hiritekiya
- 14 bed dorm has 1 shower, toilet & sink? - AC barely worked in the room, so woke up absolutely roasting - All the doors in the dorm are on self closers, meaning they slam shut every time someone uses it (alot of times in a 14 bed dorm) along with being extremely squeaky, be prepared to be woken up every time someone uses it at anytime through the night / morning - I’m 5”9 and barely fit in the bed - Half the hostel is under construction, noisy drilling throughout all hours of the day
This place is definitely not as expected. Most of the facilities were broken, definitely not enough toilets and showers for everyone. We had to leave after one night, and the hostel didn’t even want to refund us the others nights we were supposed to have…
I’ve never left a bad review on hostel world but I feel inclined to for chill vibes. The bathrooms were covered in ants, I mean, covered. 14 bed dorm and all the internal bathrooms where out of order 3/3 therefore had to go to the outside ones. Everything is over priced. My flimsy wrist banned snapped on me. They then charged 5000 to replace and kept my passport ransom until it was paid.
Got bit by a dog in the hostel had to get a rabies shot they did not help at all
We stayed four nights and paid a very high price for a hostel, but the experience was far below expectations and what was advertised. On arrival, the room was not cleaned and staff walked away without explanation. We were later ignored at reception. The room was dirty with mold, unemptied trash, and looked nothing like the photos. Electricity went out several times, the AC was leaking, and breakfast opened much later than advertised. Not recommended.

Lovely staff, free breakfast was great. Quiet because of the season but still social with everyone who was there. Free yoga and events every night.

bed are comfortable overwise room is small, shower are fine,water a bit cold, breakfast is fine,has NOBYO policy and nobar drinks are more expensive than local restaurants and dot tickets even in the "discounted" dinner Bundle still more expensive than other hostels offer. check-in can be slow
Such an unreal hostel. So social and chilled but they have different stuff planned on each night which was so fun. Freezing cold drinking water refill too and an outdoor bar selling coffees and other drinks all day. Would recommend to all backpackers
The best hostel in Sri Lanka! We loved our stay here and ended up coming back 3 times. Lovely staff and good food. Amazing social atmosphere and good parties!

Best hostel life stayed at. It was so fun. We had great parties. There’s security at the entrance and everywhere so we felt really safe. The party was crazy honestly Party Bus and Boozy games was next level, we had the best time with comfortable beds, definitely recommend.
Pretty cool social hostel , party bus and night outs are always top notch. Great Breakfast and family dinner everynight. Jungle showers were pretty nice too. Comfy beds and pretty nice rooms . They have 2 really cute golden retrievers. Totally recommend it !!
We had such a fun time at Chill Vibes! The staff are so friendly and helpful! It is a very social hostel with lots of events which makes it so easy to meet people! 10/10 would recommend best hostel in Hiriketiya!
Great Breakfast and family dinners. super lively during the day and night. Spacious garden and i loved the TT and pool table. coconut espresso martini was my favourite drink. party bus was super fun !! happens every Wednesday
The best party hostel in Hiriketiya, beach is also quite close from here. And they do a lot of events, hence a good place to socialise
Zo een goed hostel. De eigenaar is zo zo zo aardig. Het ontbijt heerlijk en alles was super goed geregeld. De kamers waren super schoon met heerlijk grote bedden. Zeker hiernaartoe gaan!!!!
So good hostel. The owner is so so so nice. The breakfast was delicious and everything was super well arranged. The rooms were super clean with super large beds. Zeker hiernaartoe gaan!!!!
Overall the location was the thing we liked most. The hostel could use some maintenance upgrade. Outdated, can be improved

The reception staff don’t seem to have a clue what they’re doing and lost my friends passport for an hour The rooms are raging with ants everywhere and what sounded like rats Bar is overpriced compared to other nearby bars Advertise as having a pool and ice bath. Loved Chill Vibes! Location is amazing, beds are huge and theres enough storage for everyone. AC is also great. Pretty social as well with a bar and things happening every day. Maybe a bit dirty at times but not enough to bother me. Only thing I will say is that its quite loud at night and music will play long into the night, so if you're a light sleeper, it might bother you.
It’s good for party. But reception and checking in wasn’t the most helpful. It was 10 minutes before check in and they made me wait when the bed was ready. It’s only social for party. Not overall social. Airconditioning gets turned off during the day.
