Poor facilities, poor location, poor food, unclean. Too many beds in one room. Nice staff but that was the only plus side. There are much better hostels in Pai.
Leider kann ich das Hostel nicht empfehlen. Die Bettwäsche war dreckig und hatte Brandlöcher. Man konnte die Zimmer nicht abschließen, wodurch man sich nicht sicher gefühlt hat. Die Duschen haben nicht richtig funktioniert und die Lage ist auch nicht ganz optimal.
Unfortunately I can't recommend the hostel. The bed linen was dirty and had fire holes. You couldn't lock the rooms, which made you feel unsafe. The showers didn't work properly and the location isn't quite optimal either.
Horrible experience at Mad Monkey Pai. Our entire dorm woke up covered in bed bug bites. Staff first admitted it, then told us not to inform other guests or our next hostel. No help, no advice, and no compensation—even though our laundry cost more than the stay. The dorm had just reopened after a previous bed bug issue. No response from the manager. Completely unprofessional handling. Avoid this hostel.
So hot in my rooms Atmosphere was off
Been to pai many times and to many mad monkey, unfortunately this did not live up to the standards. 0 atmosphere and absolutely nothing go on there. Also it’s a very far walk down a dark road with no pathways which can be very dangerous if walking at night.

Do not go. Pictures are not accurate of actual hostel. Hostel is under construction, with loud construction work from 8am-5pm. Construction workers also seem to have make shift tents set up outside the dorms…? As such all the social area is torn up. There is no bar, no socials, pretty dirty and the water in the bathrooms was poo coloured. Zero atmosphere and generally a pretty awful set up. Not something you expect from a Mad Monkey, which usually are good fun and high quality amenities.
The location isn’t in the center of town so is a walk away which isn’t to bad but not what expecting. Dont think they have any activities going on at the moment at this hostel atmosphere was dead nothing to do. No real social area as currently building a pool so when that’s done in a few month guess has more potential and maybe if they hire reps and do activities could be a good hostel but currently nothing going on there wouldn’t recommend .
No social events as advertised, bar is closed, beds and bathrooms dirty.
The water in the bathrooms are brown & cold. We moved rooms 3 times as the beds we were assigned had bedsheets covered in stains & the aircon not working. The bar/pool area is closed and all social events have been cancelled- not mentioned when booked online nor did the staff inform us of this until asked (closed until next year).We received a nights refund due to the cold water, but after finding out about the rest I have been going back and forth with their team who are delaying compensation

Very friendly staff, good location, and especially Nicha, Bee, Benny, and Botan were very nice and friendly!
The vibe here is very chill and relaxing the staff Benny, Botan, Nicha and Bee were very helpful!
Nicha, Botan, Benny, Bee and Ning were all vet hospitable and the hostel was a perfect balance of sociable and a good place to chill, we had a wonderful time would definitely recommend!!
In Ordnung, aber das Bad ist nicht sehr sauber, die Bar schließt zu unterschiedlichen Uhrzeiten und hatte manchmal kein Wasser mehr. Sehr viele Insekten in Zimmer und kein Mosquito-Netz. Das Personal ist sehr nett, aber das Frühstück hatte ebenfalls erst ab 10 Uhr geöffnet.
The bathroom is not very clean, the bar closes at different times and sometimes had no water. very many insects in the room and no mosquito net. the staff is very clean, but the breakfast had also only opened from 10 am.
Great stay, everything was very good, especially good from Nicha, Botan, Benny and Bee and Kong!
Such a great hostel and such a lovely environment! Short walk into town and all of the staff are lovely and welcoming. Shout out to Nicha, Bee, Benny and Botan who were all super helpful with extending stays and booking trips!
Property was very clean with a good area nice pool and bar. Micha, Botan, Benny and Bee were all very friendly and made everything run smoothly.

Stayed in the female dorm but unfortunately men were coming in and out. They were able to let themselves into the room which wasn’t very secure. Nice pool/social area.
Really enjoyed our time at mad monkey Pai! Staff were amazing, Nicha Botan , Benny Bee and Arm were all so helpful and nice! Would recommend 100%

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was extremely friendly. Especially Nicha Benny, Bots Bee and Kong Don One were really nice :)
