- I got there and they said they have no room for us and they do not work with booking any more so they dont even know when people book via booking.com and people keep coming loke me.
+ AWFUL. Please do not book. The manager/owner starting screaming at his partner from 8pm until 3am, smashing bottles and even went into the kitchen to smash up a few plates. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I think I have ever slept on. They hardly change the water bottle in the kitchen so I was unable to drink the water. The bathrooms are really dirty. The room was a joke, the window is broken and it is covered (barely) by a bin bag, I got so many insect bites

- I had some of the worst experiences in hostels in these 5 months that I have been traveling. The French owner or manager usually gets drunk very often and one night we told him to lower the volume, and his reaction was to insult us and become aggressive. We returned to our room and he continued putting the speaker on the door while he insulted us. We left the next day because we didn't feel safe.

- Al momento del check in abbiamo trovato la stanza (stanza privata con bagno privato) usata da altre persone per stessa ammissione dell host:letto usato..asciugamano usato in camera, pavimento sporco,bagno sporco con tanto di dentifricio su specchio. Abbiamo chiesto un altra sistemazione la risposta è stata che non c'erano altre stanze disponibili e che pulire non era il suo lavoro. Ci ha portato delle coperte pulite per un solo letto dicendo che il secondo letto in stanza di sicuro non era stato usato perché quelli che hanno usato la stanza erano una coppia. Abbiamo cercato e ripiegato su un altro ostello ovviamente.
Très froid dans les dortoirs. Aucun respect dans les dortoirs.
Do not stay here if you value any sort of sleep. Was threatened by the hostel worker on my last night , rooms were dirty , bathrooms don’t look like they’ve been cleaned at all with no working hot water. Bed are rock hard and can’t sleep! Many other places to stay that are much better than this place!
Pretty awful place, 2 fans in the room and one didn’t work and also didn’t reach the entire room… had to sleep with door open cuz it was cooler outside. Dancing hippies all night. not socialsble as they are all stoned and shroomed up (fairs if you like that but it’s a bit weird) there’s a dog there renowned for barking and chasing you, beds have rust on them and i cut myself on it. bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in months; cobwebs an army of ants and dirty floor and sink! awful
Honestly, It’s been sometime since my stay but dammm was this place sh*t. I came for some hippie vibes. I didn’t have high expectations for this place. However, I didn’t think they would have a pharmacy of drugs and an owner that is on another planet most of the time. Doesn’t even pay attention to check in or outs. Let’s his kid run around everywhere while people are consuming… oh and if something goes missing here don’t be suprised ;) They didn’t give a shit about my lost walle...
Do yourself a favor and go in a bit less cheap hostel, the beds and facilities are dirty, but most of all the staff makes you feel like you arrived in a horror movie… the manager has anger issues, you hear him screaming at night, or punching walls (and I hope he’s punching just walls)… really strange vibes, and really creepy at night when you have to come back knowing how everyone are.. please be safe and look somewhere else.

+ Staff very inclusive and take good care that everybody is safe. You are most welcome to be social or just do your own thing. Property is beautiful by the river and has a camp feel with open air kitchen and huts. My dorm was clean and the shower had pressure and was heated.
- It would be nice if there was a number/WhatsApp to contact an employee as reception isn't manned during certain times of the day. I couldn't get my towel deposit back, so now I have a new purple towell to call my own. 😁

It has a very hippie commune vibe which is a good way to experience Pai. Perfect location and helpful staff who were always around to sort out any issues. Nice outdoor spaces and access to river. Security is very poor though - no lockers and literally anyone can just wander in from the street. Cleanliness is okay but could be better.
+ Die Lage des Hostels ist gut, man ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß bei der Walking Street, trotzdem ist es Nachts ruhig und man ist schön am Fluß gelegen.
- Die Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlage / funktionierende Ventilatoren, die Matratzen waren sehr sehr sehr hart und auf dem Gelände hat es unangenehm gerochen. Zudem hatten die Waschbecken keine Seife und die Badezimmer waren nicht sonderlich sauber. Mir würde direkt beim Check in Pilze oder Weed angeboten.
+ It's fantastic value if you don't mind falling asleep to music from nearby clubs which are not that close but close enough to colour the sound of what would otherwise be frogs and crickets.
+ I had an excellent time staying at the River Jam Hostel, host were nice, staff was welcoming. During my 10 days stays, I always found washrooms and dorm clean. Location is just perfect. Thank you for having me, until the next time.

The hostel has a very good location close to the center but very quiet on the riverside. The atmosphere was a little weird because it would be a good hostel to connect, but there were mostly no people to talk to.
The hostel is directly in front of the river and 5mins walking distance to the night market. Nice staff, pretty and chill place with hammocks. There’s a huge kitchen with free drinking water. Not very secure, no curtains and no lockers/space for your stuff. But for the price it’s totally fine :)

Seemed like good value for the 3 person bungalow, compared to us paying for 3 dorm beds. Unfortunately the bungalow was freezing at night. Both nights we were also kept up by loud music from the venue across the river. Wouldn’t recommend for winter months, unless you have warm clothes to sleep in and ear plugs.
