I discourage any genuine backpackers from booking this place. We booked the private room with ‘en-suite bathroom’ and arrived to a room with a toilet and shower in the same room, not separated. Additionally the room was dirty with dead cockroaches on the floor, hair in the shower, dirty toilet, mould everywhere and it smelt of cigarettes and stale sweat. Pictures do not match the place. Owner aggressively refused a refund.
Man hat sich nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt- weder vom Personal als von den Langzeitbewohnern. Insgesamt haben wir versucht so wenig Zeit wie möglich in dem Hostel zu verbringen.
We didn't feel really welcome - neither from the staff nor from the long-term residents. Overall we tried to spend as little time as possible in the Hostel.
Wirklich gute Lage und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter. Da hören die positiven Dinge aber leider auch auf. Die Langzeitbewohnern waren unangenehm, ab vormittags betrunken und laut, die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, es gab weder eine Tür zum Bad, noch Licht, die Einrichtung hat schonmal bessere Tage gesehen und der Aufenthaltsbereich war gar nicht einladend. Etwas ironisch waren die "No Smoking" Schilder, während der Geruch kalten Rauchs wirklich aus jedem Stück Wand zog.. Für eine Nacht aus...
Very good location and attentive staff. That's when the positive things end but unfortunately also end. The long-term residents were unpleasant, drunk and loud from morning till night, the cleanliness left much to be desired, there was no bathroom door, no light, the establishment had already seen better days and the living area was not at all inviting. A bit ironic were the "No Smoking" signs, while the smell of cold smoke really pulled out of every piece of wall.. Für eine Nacht ausbar.
Das Zimmer sollte ein privates Bad haben, dieses befand sich mitten im Zimmer ohne weitere Tür. Zudem hatten wir Flecken im Bett und irgendetwas undefinierbares lag im Waschbecken. Generell war das Zimmer herunter gekommen.

Das war wahrscheinlich einmal ein cooler Ort, leider heute etwas heruntergkommen. Alles ist sehr eng. Es hat viele Langzeitmieter, die dort wohnen, und wenige Touristen.
This was probably a cooler place once, unfortunately today it has fallen a bit. everything is very tight. it has many long term tenants, who live there, and few tourists.
It's not really good for young travellers to meet others. But just for sleeping it's totally fine and the hosts are very friendly :)
Dorm room was small and tight bed was comfy no wifi due to some problems kitchen was grand plenty of utensils. Location was very good Walking 5 minutes to shop 12 minutes to fab St Blaise hiking g trail and sea front.
Super rad experience, they will be seeing myself and my wedding crew again!
Would certainly recommend for anyone. Great atmosphere end security. The manager is so nice with the guests.
