I've never been in a hostel/hotel where the personal of the place would go inside the room in the morning/night while you are sleeping and turn on the lights, talk loud, even use tools in the wall :/ If you are looking for resting, good luck The breakfast and shower were good though.

You are essentially staying in a family home. The dorm was right next to reception, I was woken up by people visiting the front desk to drop off laundry (that's their side biz!), family friends stopping by for catch ups, etc. It was overall a weird vibe and I felt like I was in their way. Rooftop is good, but nowhere to hang out besides sitting at tables. They were nice and pleasant, but as the only guest there I couldn't find space to relax without being in their/their kids hair.
No atmosphere. Only two bathrooms but luckily there were not many people. Most annoying thing was no key or access code or anything to the hostel: the staff had to open the door. But the bed was good, and the lockers were very spacious.
Eau froide plusieurs fois, beaucoup de bruit à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur (aucune isolation), la propreté est ok mais il ne faut pas être trop manique et c’est assez vieux dans l’ensemble. Mais le personnel est très agréable et le petit déjeuner est bon.
Cold water several times, a lot of noise inside and outside (no insulation), cleanliness is okay but you must not be too manic and it is quite old overall.
Great location, the staff was nice enough for us to leave our bags there for two nights whilst we did colca Canyon. The private room it's self wasn't the nicest. Just didn't seen the cleanest and a little old. And the shower pressure and temperature was very poor in my opinion! Kitchen was tiny, so, any more then two people cooking, it was hard work. And not much atmosphere to be honest.
La chambre était parfaite, en revanche la description de l’hôtel est mensongère : l’hôtel est très bien placé en terme géographique, mais la rue est extrêmement bruyante et non pas à l’écart de la circulation comme mentionné. Il y a d’ailleurs un bar en dessous bruyant quand les gens sortent. Il n’y a pas de ping pong / billard, et l’hôtel est assez bruyant notamment par le bébé de la famille qui pleure tôt le matin.
The room was perfect, however the description of the hotel is misleading: the hotel is very well placed geographically, but the street is extremely noisy and not far from the traffic as mentioned. there is also a bar below noisy when people are leaving. there is no ping pong/billiards, and the hotel is quite noisy especially by the family baby who cries early in the morning.
A little pricey for what it offers in this neighborhood. There is a nice rooftop view and a basic breakfast. The facilities could be maintained better
Good hostel for a couple of nights, maximum 3. Warm shower, comfy beds, dorm is next to the entrance so it’s very loud at night and morning. Breakfast ist good. Hostel also offer tours. Not far away from the center.
Stayed in a private room across the street in the high rise of new apartments. Honestly the room/apartment was really nice, it was new, clean and modern, however, you are away from the actual hostel and it’s a bit of effort to get across if you want the social vibe. I’ve marked it down because the rooms were insanely hot at night and we barely slept - easily fixed if they would just put a fan in there.

A well situated hostel, close to the main square, but on a quiet street Staff were very friendly and helpful I booked the 2 day Colca canyon trek through the hostel and it was great
Could not recommend this hostel more! It was absolutely perfect for my brief time in Arequipa- honestly wish I could have stayed longer. I felt like part of the family, from personal airport pickup/dropoff, to tour/sightseeing recommendations. I felt incredibly safe & well looked after - as a solo female traveler that’s absolutely huge for me. They took care of booking the tour I was interested in and had a rather nice breakfast the one morning I ate in. Location is perfect: close but quiet.

El Hostel estuvo súper bien, la pieza estaba bastante limpia al igual que el baño y las instalaciones en general. Los dueños fueron amables y cordiales en todo momento. Es un lugar tranquilo, tiene muy buena ubicación céntrica.
The hostel was super good, the room was pretty clean as was the bathroom and the facilities in general. the owners were friendly and cordial at all times. it is a quiet place, it has a very good central location.
Cute family hostel in Arequipa. The bed in the dorm was very comfy and there’s lots of privacy. The bathrooms weren’t the cleanest. Staff was really nice!
Great value for money! The room was very clean. The bed was good. Plenty of pillows. There was hot shower. Plenty of closet space and cabinets. TV in the room. Reliable wifi. Staff were great amd easy to talk to. You can walk to any of the main attractions in the historic center. I love the fruit stores on the same street where you can get fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Very welcoming place to stay! The owner helped us organise our colca canyon tour (which I felt was one of the better tours we saw). Stored our luggage before and after the tour. Would definitely stay here again.

Das Hostel fand ich persönlich super. Es gab eine Dachterarrase. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und konnten alle Fragen beantworten. Auch nach dem Auschecken durften wir im Hostel noch auf unseren Bus warten.
I personally thought the hostel was great. there was a roof terrace. the staff were very friendly and could answer all questions. even after checking out we were allowed to wait for our bus in the hostel.
tranquille propre et bien située
Quiet, clean and well located
We used friendly AQP as our base hostel everytime we came back to Arequipa. Their private rooms are the same quality as a hotel, so clean and spacious even with TVs. The bathrooms are newly updated and there’s great hot water pressure as well. Everytime we mentioned to locals we were staying here, they all seemed to know it and were excited! Staff was so friendly and sweet. Laundry turnaround time great too. 10/10

Lives up to the name very friendly family run hostel, very clean and serves a really nice included breakfast. Plus a terrace where on a clear day you can see the beautiful snowy mountains
