Great hostel, very friendly people, surrounded by nature, and lots of activities. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from everything.

Excellent and unique hostel, with community placed at the very heart of everything that happens there. It’s all about the communal meals and social activities. If you’re looking for somewhere to find friends and vibes, this is the place. If I had to say anything negative it’s that the location is far from anything else in town, and the facilities are in need of an upgrade. Things could be cleaner too. Overall though, I loved Lagarto and have a lot of love for the people there!

J’ai trouvé que l’atmosphère se voulait welcoming avec les activités (19h-21h) et le petit dej mais au final pas tellement, il ne se passe pas grand chose. Les gens ont l’air d’habité dans l’hostel et sont déjà un groupe - peut être je suis tombé au mauvais moment. Le lieu et les chambres sont sales - les draps propres puaient l’humidité (on était plusieurs à le dire) les lumières extérieurs donnent une vibe assez froide - le lieux mériterait un rafraîchissement exté...

In love with this place. The ambience, the people, the community & the place itself. So beautiful & so thankful I stayed here!! Everyone always extends for a reason, & so that’s what I found myself doing too

Lagarto is not just a hostel it’s a whole experience. You feel like home and they offer a lot of activities. The dinner and breakfast are really excellent. I made beautiful connections here and would come back at any time

Came for 5 days, stayed for a month. Best hostel ive been with the best people!

Came back for a second time because my first stay was so magical. Fiquei em quarto duplo ,tinha muita teia, de aranha nas cabanas, não tinha cheiro bom ,o mosqueteiro parecia suso a toalha que encontramos quarto estava molhada e fedida. O banheiro privativo é fora do quarto , com uma cortina de pano , que ficava transparente com a luz acesa, As pessoas eram simpáticas , entendi que era um ambiente alternativo,mas não esperava que fosse dessa forma. Higiene e limpeza passa longe, ambiente insalubre. Não fiquei para o café da manhã pois não tive corage...

Averages out at 5.7 but 6.5 is my accurate opinion. Just a really weird vibe here. People don’t seem to..leave? I’d go for beach/surf days but it appeared people just sat in the hostel all day? I guess it attracts that type of traveller which is ok but be aware of this if you’re someone who likes to really explore and experience the town you’re visiting like I do. A little bit culty feeling of a place hahah. I’m sure this is great if you vibe well with just hanging around a hostel! Ver...

This is a hostel with a very special, inclusive, heartwearming and relaxed & natural ambiente which allows you to meet new people from all paths of life and backgrounds. The incredible volunteers organize every day activities and delicious vegetarian meals. A downpoint and that‘s why I can give out of goodwill for the lovely people there „just“ 4* is the rather lengthy walk to the hostel outside the town center and the cleanliness and maintenance of the in-dorms bathrooms. A nice hostel with daily activities and a social atmosphere. The staff were lovely. Dorms were small but fine and remember bug spray because the mosquitoes are no joke.

I loved lagarto!! It's a great hostel with a great vibe! The people, the volunteers, the activities, the vibe, the hostel is super inviting and fun, a great place to stay in pipa. There are s lot of hammocks to chill, really cute breakfast and the family dinners (30 reals) were extremely good whenever we got one! If you are in a doubt, I highly recommend

El hostel es simplemente genial. Los voluntarios muy amables y atentos. Entre los huespedes se logra una buena onda increible, ayudada por las actividades que se realizan todos los dias (gratuitas) y por las excelentes cenas que hacen Alan y Nati. Volveria mil veces mas. Ideal para aquel que viaja solo.
