Pros first - location couldnot be better. My experience- I booked a mixed dorm, thinking, it will be a mixed dorm with men and women both, I was given a dorm with all males must be aging over 50 or 60, lot of snoring in the room, couldnt sleep.First night- no sleep at all, second night- went to reception at 3 in the morning, then next day, changed the dorm, again the same problem, all men aged over 60, snoring, I will highly not recommend this hostel, if you are a light sleeper. No room heating.

Beware there'll be nothing in your room(s) except beds and a mirror on a wall. No table, no chair, no locker - nothing at all. Cold? - that's a minor issue, isn't it? You have many warm clothes, don't you?

reception staff is a pain in the neck. Except for Victor—he’s actually nice and helpful.

Extremely dirty and unpleasant smell. The facilities are not thoroughly cleaned as they claim.

Was excited to stay here had a very poor experience. When we arrived to our room, the sink was COVERED in hair and toothpaste marks and very disgusting. Also other peoples item’s were left on our two beds. The power to our bed unit did not work at all. The front desk said maintence would come the next day which never happened. overall did not have a positive or even average experience at all

Central spot, decent utilities, small rooms and bathrooms but clean enough. Super expensive for just a decent hostel . Staff friendly but formal ,not really proactive in giving advices info etc

Overall not my favorite. The room was dark, with all the beds crammed together. The floor and windows were not clean, which were right next to my bed. The hostel is also located on the Main Street, which although convenience to the downtown is nice, it’s not the most safe street. But that’s a Dublin issue. The hostel had a good locked door/security system to enter, but just being a women coming back at night might not be the best. The staff were nice however & let me check in early!

I started feeling sick, difficult breathing. I stayed in my room alone for five days and on the fifth morning at 7:30 am I discovered black mold all over the wall and ceiling. The man at the front desk did not offer to give me a new room, he just told me to write an email and the manager would be in at 2pm. So I left and emailed the health department. No refund or compensation was offered to me.

The price per night is extortionate for what you get. 60 euros for a bed in a 12-people mixed dorm, where there is no privacy (some hostels have curtains or separators), everything is old and rusty, bathrooms hadn't been cleaned, the building hasn't been renovated. No bar or socialization area, just a kitchen with basic amenities. I have been is many many hostels around Europe and I never had to pay this much for such bad quality stay.

The booking did not function. We are a family of four. We booked a room for four people (two parents, two kids) . When we arrived we had to learn that this room was not available (there were only 3 beds.) So we had to book another room. In the end we payed 600 EUR in total for two nights. Toooo much for a hostel of that quality. Next time in Dublin we take a nice hotel for the same price.

We stayed on 4/27,28 and then again on 5/11/26. Amazing staff and good vibe.. our room the first time had a loose toilet but on the second stay a whole new bathroom..top notch! Second stay, the elevator wasn’t working but they were working had to rectify..but hey I could use the exercise waking upstairs!!

Everything was clean and quiet and the kitchen was pretty large but I will say the showers had no shelves or toilets in them and clearly weren’t designed for women on their periods, so possibly some better planning is needed on that end but otherwise a great hostel

Fantastic location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The female en-suite was nice and clean. Only suggestion: bring earplugs because the noise outside the hostel can get loud at times.

Very nice, good location! The staff is really nice and helpfull. Everything was clean. The only down side is that the beds where akwardly close to eachother and have no curtains, I didn’t feel super confortable. (I was in one of the 8 person mixed dorm). I switched rooms for the last night and it was much better!

Nice hostel in the city centrer , really good location beside temple bar and in front of the bus station ( bus Eireann and citylink)! Really friendly personal and helpful, especially Filippe in the night time!!! I will come back !!!

Overall okay and not dirty, but older facilities and in temple bar area which is a bit trashy and full of rubbish and pubs. Very quiet in the room! No age restrictions so a lot of older (like 50+ years old) guests. Some sketchy clientele and right in front of a bus stop so immediately when you leave the building there is always a mass of people awaiting there

It was a wonderful place to stay!! I didn't even realize how great the location was until we were at the Dublin airport and scoping out our route to the pubs in the area. Everyone in our hostel were super friendly, I'd recommend having a flexible plan in Dublin so you can freely go grab a cheeky pint with your roommates :) It's located in the heart of the city right on the Liffey River just steps away from a massive pub scene. since it's on the river its super easy to navigate to everything.

La atención dejó bastante que desear. Pagué mi reserva con Hostelworld, como siempre lo he hecho, y empezaron a insistir en que tenía que pagar toda la reserva por adelantado en un link aparte. No me gusta hacer pagos en enlaces extraños y mucho menos cuando te presionan a pagar rápido. Pedí salir media hora tarde para desayunar sin problemas, y me dijeron que no hacen late check-outs, contradice un poco la información que ponen en las habitaciones, la hab estaba medio vacía. Mala ener...

This hostel wasn’t bad but it wasn’t fantastic. I stayed here two separate times on my week trip to Ireland and compared to my hostel in Galway this was just ok. Staff was very nice and helpful, definitely was a secure building, location was great, but the rooms weren’t that clean and neither was the en-suite bathroom even after the cleaning crew came in. The atmosphere of the common area was just meh, I didn’t spend much time down there at all. Other guests were loud well after 10pm.

Great location near the pubs, restaurants, bus stops, train station, museums, parks, and tourist attractions. The hostel has a nice view overlooking the river Liffey.. Important for backpackers is that a grocery store is nearby .The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful arranging day trips all over Ireland. Abigail’s is great for those seeking a restful, quiet trip and have quiet hours at night, but Fleet Street and the pubs are only minutes away by foot.

fabulous location. people were okay friendly. someone smoked in the bathroom ( no signs in the rooms or bathrooms about the smoking policy) , so it kind of stank.

The front desk staff amazing & patient & knowledgeable because I have to ask the same questions to lol what I say wrap my brain around!! The information they provide!! I take long to process! & yes the place was clean and quiet. I did not use the kitchen because I was only in for a long weekend from Philly, but I saw families young people older people and at 56 years old , That’s my first stay at hostile. Good, secure, clean place to sleep for the night, but not the most welcoming vibe. I got lucky and made friends with my roommates, but I think it would otherwise be quite difficult to make friends here. Fantastic location right in Temple Bar—this was the highlight.

I could not have found a better location. Right in the centre of everything I needed to do & see. The kitchen is equipped enough to enjoy some cooking time, the sheets are clean, the staff very sweet & nice, & meeting other travellers in the social room was easy. I enjoyed my stay!

A bed is a bed. This bed happened to be quite uncomfortable. Lots of older people and no social vibe. Seems like organized tours stay there. Location is superb. Overall if you aren’t trying to meet people or want to do it through the app it’s fine. Just wish it was more comfortable. Bathroom was the best part.

Very good location and nice views from the rooms. Each bed had a charger, light and shelf which was very useful. Kind staff and nice kitchen.

L'endroit est super agréable, ils proposent/présentent plein d'activités sur et autour de Dublin. Le bâtiment est propre. Les seuls points négatifs seraient au niveau de l'emplacement et de l'isolation des fenêtres : on entend tout ceux qui passent dans la rue et au niveau des lits qui sont un peu petits et terriblement bruyant ce qui est très dérangeant lorsque certains se lèvent tôt ou rentrent tard.

Absolutely no atmosphere, no activities at all. Geared towards an older crowd it seems. The plugs above my bed also did not work so I had to use the common area to charge my devices every day. You also have to make your own bed which for the price is a bit outrageous. The only plus is that it is kept very clean which is great. Don’t go here if you’re a young solo traveller wanting to meet people because it won’t happen.
