- They have a rule of not wearing shoes inside, which is totally fine. Hence, there is a shelf at the reception so you can storage you slippers. I put my slippers there but they were stolen on the very first day! When I talked to the receptionist about that she was extremely reactive and refused to call the manager. Don’t recommend this hostel at all!
+ Prime location. Hostel on 3rd floor. There's a lift. There's reception desk.
- You have to enter the building through McDonald's!!!!! Very noisy especially at night. Poor breakfast. No choices for a diabetic person.
+ Bed sheet wasn't changed, rubbish bin not emptied.

+ Location is excellent but you they have a policy that you can’t wear shoes. Everyone’s shoes are mixed together which I found very unhygienic. Overall the place isn’t very clean. Lift and stairs stink so bad that I wanted to puke.
- I was bitten by bed bugs at night. I even managed to take a picture of one. I had about ten bites. I spoke with my roommate, and he was bitten too. I had to urgently leave and look for accommodation during the night. Thank you for refunding my money.

- Sconsiglio questo ostello, che i giudizzi fossero eccessivamente elevati me ne sarei potuta accorgere dalle foto. Quando viggio uso spesso ostelli (per cui parlo con cognizione di causa) ma in questo caso, o in generale nelle Capitali baltiche, lo sconsiglio, vista anche la limitata differenza di prezzo rispetto ad un albergo (anche se solitamente preferisco ostelli per la disponibilità di cucina). In questo caso specifico vi sono molti aspetti negativi. Prima impressione negativa già dall insegna (poco piu di un foglio A4 attaccato a quella che è la porta del mc donald, l ingresso è lo stesso. Nell ingresso stazionano i vari riders delle consegne che non disdegnano intruffolarsi per il bagno o prendersi qualcosa da mangiare o sostare al caldo (fare quindi molta attenzione). Inoltre, vista la vicina stazione e i paesi di confine, la tipologia di clientela non è prettamente di viaggitori - turisti o di studenti, con casi alquanto anomali. Nell'ostello c'è un dispenser di vendita bevande, tra cui birra, pertanto è capitata una "serata brava" tra ragazzi fino alle 3 di mattina, orario nel quale ho mandato tutti a letto in malo modo (la vendita con dispenser di certo non disincentiva questa cosa). Sull'igiene avrei qualcosa da ridire: avevo letto giudizi positivi ma a mio avviso così non è! Se è vero che i bagni sono generalmente puliti, non vi è pero' attenzione, in generale, al particolare, per cui è una pulizia di superficie: pomelli dei fuochi abbastanza untatchable, ditate / manate nello sportello del microonde e idem cappa unta, area colazioni con briciole nei tavoli, nelle sedute e a terra, senza possibilità di pulire... e che dire del campanello rovescio? La colazione è varia, nulla da dire. Cucina piccola e non si capisce cosa è di chi e il cibo for free... Sarebbe necessaria la presenza di un addetto alla reception h24. Personale giovane, gentile, che però non ho mai visto pulire un tavolo.
This is a 9+ hostel; really a good one all around. But I’m lowballing because finding the place is insane - you must walk through the McDonald’s, with only a tiny sign posted at the bottom of an obscure door telling you that - they need to put that on their website/Hostelworld so you can actually find the place.
This is a 9+ hostel, easy. Staff is great. Location is great. No issues at all except!: You can’t find the place!!! Hint: The entrance is inside the McDonald’s. The Hostel needs to describe that on their booking websites. Trying to find it in the rain/freezing at night is very frustrating. Otherwise, would always stay here. I’m leaving this bad review so hopefully the hostel will take note and make identifying their property much easier.
+ just making and meeting new friends is easier as the environment forces you for it.
- If you need to arrive to Riga at night, you can check other hotel or hostels around. This hostel can't give 24h reception although written. they sent me message about locked box password for keys, but i couldn't find any keys inside. Luckily, someone didn't sleep and opened door. Alsoi they gave me wrong key at night and i couldn't use locked boxes inside rooms. Because of this, my money inside pocket was stolen. I can write more but i think these infos are enough for new potential travellers.

Alles ok. Preis-Leistung passt sehr. Einzig leider hat es in unserem Zimmer sehr gestunken, da McDonalds Ablüftung im Innenhof. Wir haben die Zimmertür daher etwas offen gelassen.
Sehr zentral gelegen und freundliche Gastgebende. Schöner Aufenthaltsraum und alles überwiegend sauber. Insbesondere kostenlose Ecke mit Café und Obst stechen hervor. Manche Gäste slightly unangenehm aber da kann das Hostel ja nichts für.

Very fun stay at the hostel! The personal was very friendly and welcoming as well. Breakfast is ok, there’s everything you need. Beds were comfortable as well. The only negativ points would be the showers that can be a bit dirty depending on the time of the day you go there. Also the curtains in the room don’t really close correctly anymore
Very nice atmosphere with nice common room. There was also a quiet place to work etc. Nice volunteers and workers. The dorm I stayed in was right next to the entrance and the door made a beeping noise every time someone used the key, that was annoying in the evening, but other than that everything was good. I really liked the free breakfast, it is a very nice addition. Would stay here again.
I need to come to Riga frequently and I've stayed here exactly 3 times. Each time I stayed in the women's room with 6 people. I was very satisfied every time. The hostel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is superb. Each bed has its own power outlet and nightlight nearby. There are also locks for your lockers. They help with late check-in if you arrive late. Overall I was satisfied. It's a place I will stay again if I need to.
One of the best hostel I stayed in. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was super friendly, common area were great. 100% recommended
My stay at Cinnamon Sally's truly exceeded my expectations! Who would have thought that for such a cheap price you will get a wonderful breakfast consisting of variety of options, wonderful common area and activities hosted by the staff members and volunteers who put all their passion into making their guests feel so welcome! Let us not forget about a location of this hostel. Since it was so central it made a huge difference exploring Riga! Will definitely come back!
Good for a short stay, atmosphere was good and free breakfast fantastic. Cockroaches in the bathrooms were a bit gross, they need to seal the tiles to stop them from coming out. Overall good stay.
Top Lage. AAltstadt, Bus und Bahnhof schnell erreichbar. Privatzimmer war groß und schlicht, Gemeinschaftsraum und kleine Küche gemütlich, Frühstück ausreichend. Zugang nur durch den McDonald’s und mit 2 Türcodes. Eine Erklärung vorab wäre hilfreich gewesen. Negativ: durchgelegene Matratze, sehr hellhörig, knarzende Dielen. Außerdem roch es oft nach Fett vom McDonald’s, Lüften brachte nichts. Trotzdem gute Unterkunft für einen Kurztrip.
A private room was large and simple, common area and small kitchen cozy, Breakfast is sufficient. Access only through the McDonalds and with 2 Türcodes. An explanation in advance would have been helpful. Negative: through-strewn Mattresses, very hell-hard, squeaky Dielen. Also it often smelled like Fett vom McDonalds, Lüften brachte nichts. Trotzdem Unterkunft gute gute für einen Kurztrip.

+ Nice hostel, they have put a lot of effort to make it cozy but I think it's a bit too much in terms of decoration so it becomes overwhelming. Breakfast was very good
